Chapter 62

Zac

Fuck.

Of all the nights for mother to magically show up, it had to be tonight. Right when Alyssia was purely enjoying herself after receiving the best news about our child. Not to mention that mother completely disregarded her too.

My eyes now scanning to those around the table. Sam clearly pissed as was I, while Annabel watched Alyssia worriedly. Alyssia’s eyes locked along her plate. Her hand using her fork to play with her food. Alyssia no longer interested in eating.

Her light gone. Christ. I really needed to fix this. Now. Before something else went terribly wrong. My hand quick to find hers along the table. My touch light, but enough to draw her eyes over to me.

Her eyes moist. As if she was trying hard not to cry. My anger towards my parents evident.

“Baby? Are you okay?”

Alyssia quick in shaking her head. “No.” Pausing, she chooses her next set of words carefully before speaking. “Is it true though? Am I truly not your type?”

My body tensing. “What?”

“Is it true?”

“Jesus baby. Listen. What my mother said to you was completely all wrong. She has zero clue as to who or what I like. What I can say though, is that you’re a 1000 percent my type and I won’t trade it for anything.”

“You mean that?”

“Of course I do.”

Alyssia quick to gauge my words. As if she was mentally weighing them. Damn it. I really need to it. Stat. Before I lose both her and our unborn child. My hand quick to wave down our waiter. The need to get her home rising.

“Yes?” replies the waiter once standing near our table.

“Bill. Now.”

Nodding, they move to do as told. My eyes briefly on Sams. “Hey, sorry about tonight man. I wasn’t expecting my mother to show.”

“No worries man. Go. I’ll handle the bill. You just take your girl home and make sure she’s loved. Call me later when you’re done.”

“I will, thanks.”

“Don’t mention it.”

Sam and I both sharing one final look as Sam then turns to address the waiter who returned with the check. His hand quick in grabbing the bill while my eyes turned back to my girl. Her eyes slightly wide.

“Um…”

“Um what baby?”

“Shouldn’t we… like…. Help pay too?”

Sam and I both sharing an amused look. Both of us smiling by her sweet yet innocent tone. “No sweetheart. There’s so much you’ve yet to see. Come. Let’s go home and I’ll explain everything to you there.”

My body now quick to stand as I quickly pull Alyssia with me. The two of us standing before turning to leave. Sam handling the bill before he and Annabel both leave as well. Tonight ruined because of my parents. Correction, my mother as my father didn’t show when she did.

The thought of what needed to be done rising. The need to tell her everything now crucial or else mom and dad could likely ruin everything I’ve worked hard to obtain. Including my girl. My soon to be wife once I properly asked.

The sudden thought of calling her wife now spreading warmth along my body that only she could. Having bought her the perfect ring that day at the mall without her knowing. A piece of me waiting for the perfect moment to ask. A moment that got ruined because of mom.

Her presence leaving a sour taste within my mouth. The car coming into view and my sudden need to get her home rises. A piece of me ready to start this next journey. A journey that involved both her and our child. My hand now reaching for the passenger handle.

“Daddy… I could have done it.”

“Nonsense baby. No woman of mine will ever open her door. When I’m present, I’ll always get your door. Not you. Understood?”

“Yes.”

“Yes what?”

“Yes daddy.” Her cheeks instantly red. Her hesitant need to call me daddy all the motivation I needed to get her home and ravish her perfect body. The need to fuck her rising.

Alyssia quick to enter the car. My hand quick in swatting her ass in which she yelps. Her cute sound all the motivation I need in order to close the door before heading towards the driver side door. My body quick to enter before starting it up. The car soon heading in another direction. A direction Alyssia quickly notices.

“Uh daddy… your apartment isn’t this way. It’s the other way.”

“I know.”

“Then where are we going?”

“Home.”

“Uh….”

Chuckling, I carefully lay a hand along her lap. The touch calming her nerves. “Breathe baby. Breathe. You’ll see soon enough. For now, just trust me.”

My words of confirmation all she needs before she gradually leans back. Her body nestled against the seat when she does. My eyes locked along the road as I continue to drive us 45 minutes in a different direction.

The place our new home moving forward. Having told Ariele to clean out the apartment during our absence. Alyssia unaware of this home. Yet after tonight, I knew I needed to tell her the truth. To know exactly the kind of man I was and what I was capable of doing when provoked.

The teacher persona gone. The kick ass, don’t touch my woman with a massive company now here to stay. My mother starting a war she wasn’t prepared to start. Sam and I both ready to burn the world down for those we loved. And soon, Hendricks, Brian and Lyra’s father, Lane, would all learn what if felt like when touching what’s mine.

Including my parents.

Tonight, I would forever be a changed man. A man who was taking over his company and keeping my woman safe no matter what. Ariele ready for orders.
