“I’m not afraid of you.”
“Patience, darling. You will be."

What does one do when an intruder is found in their home? They can:
A) Call the police.
B) Barge in with righteous fury and demand to know what the heck is going on!
C) Offer them a cup of tea.
D) Or, for someone with my track record—put a knife to their throat and demand to know how they found me.
A stubborn and resilient con artist, Melanie Hayes didn’t get to where she is by making rash decisions—and she certainly didn't get there by being stupid. But when the opportunity arises to pull a heist that will have her set for life, she jumps at the chance to escape from a life of crime. Little does she know that this singular decision is about to set in motion a series of life-altering events she definitely did not plan for.
Unlike her previous marks, the man she had indirectly targeted was not some greedy, blubbering fool who thought with his dick. When she discovers herself indebted to a powerful Puerto Rican crime boss, who turns out to be the stranger she’d had wild, uninhibited sex with one steamy night in Rome, her plans for getting out of the business are put on indefinite hold.
Will she be able to keep to the terms of their contract and work her way out of a life of crime? Or will she let the intoxicating Lucas lure her back to the dark side?
