Chapter 84 What was said about Nemesis?
Uriel's POV
"Ahhhhh!!!"
A loud scream from the room next to mine had me jumping up from my bed where I laid, replaying the video from weeks ago.
The video that shared my innocence to the world, putting me back in the light.
That day, when the door opened... I thought it was the authorities or something because the first person to enter was a guard in uniform. Then students trooped in - unexpected students ranging from Emma's minions to Dennis, Cain; then Female teachers, Rebecca the wannabe and many more persons.
My Principal knew he was done for when evidence began to fly everywhere, each holding something tangible. In fact, Emma's original exam sheets were all brought out.
I fell to my knees, tears of joy pouring down my eyes. The principal was fired instantly and was asked to make a public statement on everything. Emma was expelled as well and was asked to make a public apology to me.
God, it felt good to be liberated.
I didn't think I could've survived the outcome of the decision the Chairman was about to dish out to me, if those wonderful people had not all come in at that point.
I expected Ryder to be there though, testifying against Emma. But he wasn't. Goes to show how he never truly cared.
Goodluck, my ass.
He probably told me that cos he thought I'd fail.
Still, I wanted to see the look on his face.
"Fuck!!!" came in another scream.
Now that called for drama.
Quickly, I picked my phone from my bed, jumping over my boxes that scattered everywhere.
I was packing my things to leave in two days. I had overstayed my welcome and as God had it, I was compensated by school, for the misconduct of their staffs towards me.
"What's going on?" My Father eyed Emma up and down and then looked at me. I shrugged, shaking my head, telling him I was equally lost.
"I'm fucked, dad. I'm fucked so bad." Emma paced back and forth, gripping her hair tight
"What's the matter?" Faith paused the minute she entered into the kitchen, still in her robe. Her eye bag were still dark and heavy.
She had been crying since Emma was expelled and of course, blamed me for her poor training. Bitch.
"I'm... I'm pregnant, mother."
My eyes flew wide open as Emma dropped the bombshell on us all. Faith clutched her chest, breathing heavily.
My father went mute, just staring at the both of them.
"Mother, you're not saying anything!" Emma screamed, walking to meet her mother. Before she could open her mouth to say something else, her mother smacked her face, hard.
Emma's eyes flew open, tears streaming down her eyes immediately.
"Mo...mother?"
"How could you be this stupid? I can't believe you!" Her mother eyed her up and down, scoffing.
"You cant believe me?"
"Yes. First, you slept with your principal and teachers for grades and then you did bad things to people and now you're pregnant?" Faith scoffed again, shaking her head. "It's already shameful that no university will take you in. What am I even saying? Your whole years in school isn't even going to count because of what you did!"
"And whose fault is all these? It's yours!" Emma's voice raised an octave. Her nose flared and eyes had turned red. "You made me the way I am. You directed me on what to do. You watched me rot away. You spoiled me!"
"Paul, take your disgusting daughter out of my sight. Like father, like fucking daughter. Very foolish," Faith snapped.
"Now she's my daughter?" My father scoffed, frowning at Faith
"Leave father out of this. You ruined my life, mother. I hate you so much. I fucking hate you with my life." Emma cried, falling to the ground. "You made me like this. You filled me with so much bitterness and hatred. I'll never forgive you."
"Oh please!" Faith hissed loudly. "If you know what's good for you, you better abort that disaster you created."
"God forbid." Emma growled
"Keep it then. You'll just suffer and die with it. I'm sure you don't even know the father since you sleep with so much men. Stupid girl." She pushed Emma out of her way, turning to go back upstairs when the door bell rang. She diverted to answer it.
I was about to go forward to check if it was the dispatch rider that called me earlier this morning to say he had a package from an unknown sender, when a resounding slap echoed loudly making me gasp.
Emma stood up immediately, her tears stopping halfway. My father rolled backward, startled when Faith was being pushed back into the house. She fell to the ground with a loud thud, making me wince.
I wish I could video this. It looked like something I'd love to watch over and over again.
"You witch! How dare you fuck my husband and leech off him?" A strange woman roared, diving Faith, pulling at her hair.
"Get off me! I didn't know he was married."
"Baby! Baby, please!" A man rushed to pull the woman away from Faith. "Please!"
"Don't touch me, Bingo." The woman scolded, hitting him with her bag. She raised her head up, noticing us for the first time. "I guess you're her kids."
"Just her." I pointed at Emma immediately, exempting myself.
"I don't give two shits. Your mother do not know what she just did to herself. I will make sure she rots on earth. I'll make her life a living hell." Then she went ahead to search her bag, throwing papers on my mother. "That's your resignation letter from the places you work."
"What?"
"And as for you." She turned to her husband. "You'll be living with your mistress from now on."
"I can't leave you, baby. It was a mistake. It wouldn't happen again, I promise." The man begged seriously, his voice shaking.
"My family picked you up from trash and brushed you up. All you had, I gave to you, yet this is how you pay me back? Sleeping with different women?" She pushed him back by his chest. "I'm done with your HIV ass!"
The man paused, his eyes growing wide.
"You think I wouldn't see your recent test result? The minute I saw the debit alert from a hospital, I knew something was wrong. You fucking cheat!" She threatened to punch him but stopped halfway.
"HIV? Greg, you have HIV?!" Faith knelt up, her hands trembling.
"Yes, he does. You just purchased a brand new whip. Serves you right, you bitch." She chuckled darkly, looking between them. "Pathetic assholes."
"How could you!!!" Faith crawled up to the man, holding his leg.
"Get off me, you temptation. Look what you've caused me. You're bad luck!" Greg kicked her away, trying to go after his wife who was clearly done with the conversation.
All these while, my father's eyes was pinned on the lady who was raking, threatening to bring their house down. When she finally caught my father's eyes, she paused.
She blinked over and over again.
"P...Paul?"
"Ciara?"
They both didn't say anything again but their eyes did and so did their silence.
"Get out of my way, imp!" Ciara stormed out of our door, leaving her husband for Faith.
Faith collapsed dramatically, rolling on the ground as she screamed on one end, same with Emma, except she wasn't screaming out loud like her mother.
"That was intense." I said to my father who nodded in agreement.
Bringing out my phone, I took a picture of the both of them for the gram.
"Happy Prom to you!" I mocked, taking much more photos of Emma, especially.
Yeah, today was Prom. This ate better than Prom, right?
"Please! Please don't post it." Emma begged, clasping her fingers.
"Oops." I chuckled darkly.
"Paul. Paul, please forgive me. I'm your wife!"
My ear still picked on their voices as I walked out of the house.
"You can't leave us, Uriel. I took care of you!" Faith screamed after me.
God, I just wanted fresh air.
Away from all the chaos.
I can't lie... I felt satisfied. Did you?
My phone pinged in my hand. I unlocked it to see a mail. With a slight scowl, I opened it.
My breath hitched when I read the first sentence.
You've been carefully selected to study Art in Brain College.
"Oh my God!"
My eyes pooled with tears. My hand trembled as I stared down at my screen. I refreshed my mail to be sure it was real.
"I got in?"
I was shocked. I never applied to Brain College. I hadn't even heard of it.
Fully funded.
Mayor's Scholarship Program.
No shit.
"Hi, Kinky." Flinching, I raised my head up swiftly to meet the familiar green eyes, staring at me with hooded eyes.
I blinked once and then twice, just staring at him - the wolf.
My head only whispered one thing...
' RUN'
