On Our Anniversary, He Watched the Meteor Shower with His Girl

On our anniversary, my boyfriend watched the meteor shower with his senior. A video of their shared smile, captured by a passerby, went viral, showering them with blessings. That’s when I gave up on him. He was never truly mine; he was just a pale moonlight that finally returned to its rightful place. You see, this so-called boyfriend of mine was merely a comforting stand-in. I feigned poverty to get close and help him climb the ladder, purely for amusement. Now, I have won the prize and in his shocked gaze, I've become his unattainable dream. From heaven to hell, he fell. “Do you regret it?” I asked with a smile.
