Chapter 12: Commitments part 1.

Oliva slams the bedroom door in embarrassment at her recent broken dialogue with Matteo, she still didn't know how she could live with this dog for a whole year without having a raging psychological outburst and making advances at that boy's beautifully sculpted face. She had to ignore all the double entendre jokes he let out in the air while she cleaned and changed in the closet, she couldn't have breakfast with wet panties next to her brother.

He put on what he first saw in front of him, a plain white T-shirt and loose black social pants, and decided to just keep his hair up and not so high heels, he didn't mind not looking too formal. — Oliva took a deep breath and walked down the two flights of stairs, noticing that there was no more movement than in the previous days, finally everyone had left the place.

"You're up early today, how was your wedding night? ?" Samuel asks as soon as he sees his sister entering the dining room.

"Do I look like I slept well, by any chance?" The girl replies sharp as a knife, but soon regrets it. After all, nothing was anyone's fault. "Sorry, I'm just stressed."

"At a time like this?" As always Samuel asks good-humoredly, she never understood how the hell anyone could be in a good mood in the morning. "Please sit down and eat. I'm sure our guest is feeling better about joining us."

Oliva pulls out the padded chair and sits down in melancholy, her stomach rumbling just at staring at all those fare on the table. She wasn't hungry and mentioning the guest made her swallow dryly, for she knew who the guest was. She hadn't exchanged another word with Lian since that unbridled dawn that she couldn't even remember, she didn't know what was going on with him and she didn't dare to drop that name and ask anyone.

So many questions were circling her mind.

"Where is Bradley?" she asks trying to deflate the growing nervousness in herself, she would have to concentrate and would sort herself out with the other Allen later. As soon as he found a small loophole, he would escape.

"It won't be long before he arrives, he's been bringing important matters about the pack and the company. You'll have a lot of work to do from today on, little sis." Samuel says in half smiles of pride, and indeed he was. His sister, the rowdy omega of the Moore's has arrived exactly where any stray alpha would want to be, pack leadership of a pack of hostile alphas with a short in vocative omega woman, it was going to be disastrously interesting the next few months, he couldn't deny it.

The girl had been so wrapped up in feelings and anxiety since she received the news of her father's death that she hadn't even bothered to think about what it actually meant to be in front of the responsibilities of a true leader. She had no idea what the current state of the company was and what conflicts in the pack were, her father was discreet with problems and scandalous with solutions and the girl's life was based on her life away from the countryside in the big city working with the company's public relations.

Looking back briefly, she had never thought it would come to this, and as if planned, Matteo and Lian entered the dining room. Matteo was dressed in casual formal dress, moved well and didn't have so many bruises exposed on his arms, and quite different from Lian who was walking with a splint immobilizing one arm and one leg, his face was contorted and she realized how clearly uncomfortable the scene was for those present there. Less so for Samuel who was eating his toast absentmindedly, not feeling the thoughtful atmosphere settling in the air and greeted them normally.

Matteo approached Oliva and gave her a light kiss on the cheek, then sat down beside her, totally unconcerned, and let the surprise stamped on the girl's face by such boldness and immediately raised his gaze to Lian who thought it's best to pretend to be distracted so as not to seek more confusion.

Lian felt repressed and it was humiliating to have lost his brother. The good thing was that his body was responding to the rest and treatment, and soon he would be able to return to the game as a good player. No matter all those rules that Matteo himself had invented, they had the same goal and only one chance. Oliva in the end could only choose one.

And Lian knew that no matter how many lines there were in that stupid contract, it would be his alone.

"Oow Lian, that's a nice accessory on your arm there." Matteo says raising a wicked grin. "Super matches the leg splint and the cool swing you're doing when you walk, then you have to teach me!" An involuntary laugh escaped her lips.

Oliva's eyes widened and he stared at Matteo sternly, subtly scolding him. She couldn't believe that he had actually uttered such rude words after all that had happened during the most disturbed weekend of her life. To ease the tension, he thought he might laugh about it someday.

Those words didn't affect Lian at all, for him, it was even good that his brother made such mean comments in front of Oliva that only helped him demonstrate how slightly despicable the other was in the girl's eyes.

"Ah don't worry, I will return the favor brother." He says velvety.

Oliva was the luckiest woman ever to have to share a table with her husband and her boyfriend who ironically were brothers, with whom she had extremely erotic and wet dreams a little earlier. She stared at Lian who did not return her gaze at all, she was wearing simple casual attire and her appearance was not debilitated, her face was more flushed than she remembered and she had an appetite as she was being served a good portion of pancakes.

The Omega preferred to drink her coffee quietly and as quickly as she could so she wouldn't have to swallow high doses of testosterone from the alphas first thing in the morning and when Marie arrived to announce the lawyer she almost jumped with relief that she didn't have to be in the middle of the sparks of those two and her brother's craven who was too worried about his pancake honeydew not falling off his plate to notice all those affectionate pinpricks from the Allens.

"Finally Oliva, we have to be at the headquarters in a few minutes. You will be officially handed the presidency to you! We have no time to waste." Brad barely greets the girl and already goes pulling her to the car parked exactly at the door of the mansion. "In the afternoon we have a general meeting with all the partners.

"Do you have a lot of urgent business?" Oliva asks curiously, however received only silence from the other. Bradley looked a little nervous.

As he walked through the dark glass doors of the business building, he received several stares coming from all sides. Oliva wasn't expecting a welcoming party to greet her, but time seemed to stop and the only sound to be heard was the echoes of her heels colliding with the black porcelain tiles on the floor, and then she understood the lawyer's face. Things were never easy when it came to omegas.

He could even imagine what he would see next.

Oliva had no time to make a scene. It was an honor to enter the Alphi&Enterprises as the new president, now was not the time to have her head down so she kept it up.

"Good morning, Mrs. Moore!" Sophia, her father's secretary says excitedly just as she steps off the elevator. She seemed the only one truly glad for Oliva's presence there. "I am ready to help you in any matter you need, I put my services at your service." The girl bowed readily. Bowing was an act of devotion and an oath of allegiance that if broken would lead to banishment from the pack, it was much more common to swear to alphas for obvious reasons of hierarchies.

It was the first time anyone had ever sworn loyalty to her. Oliva felt a twinge in her moved heart.

"Thank you, Sophi." Oliva says bowing briefly as well, ensuring mutual respect.

"The President's office is already vacated, however there is someone waiting for you there." Sophia signals Oliva to take momentum to go ahead and so she does. "Your schedule is on the table, please review it as soon as possible. Tomorrow you have to travel, the tickets and hotel are already booked."

Sophia opens the huge dewy door and stands outside discreetly, making room for Mrs. Moore to enter her office.

"Why, I thought I'd have to stand here all morning waiting for you." Oliva spots Dmitri sitting on his desk like a savage. "I didn't think you'd really sell yourself that way just to sit in a chair, Oliva."
