Chapter 75

A whimper escaped her, and she circled her hips, pulsing them to claim more of him. With each inch she took, a fierce joy pierced her, along with a wild, raw pleasure. Oh, damn, she didn’t know if she could survive this. And when the length of him finally, finally filled her, she admitted to herself that while physically she would come out on the other side of this, emotionally...?

No. She was a goner.

“There you go,” he soothed, rubbing his palms up and down her back, praising her, his ragged chuckle another caress on her cheek. “Look at you, sweetheart, taking all of me. So fucking beautiful and sweet.”

She was. For him, she was. And as she rose up, up, up his cock and plunged back down, tearing a gasp out of both of them, she was also fierce and powerful, too. She rode him hard, giving him no quarter and offering none to herself. In the furious pace, pleasure careened through her, transforming her into a carnal creature that in parts thrilled and terrified her. She could forget that Nick hadn’t answered the question about where they went from here, about what they were to each other. She could forget everything but the ecstasy threatening to implode and leave her in so many pieces, she might never be the same.

And yet, she didn’t care. She fucked him, racing for that ending, dragging him along with her. She didn’t wait for him to take them there. Crushing her mouth to his, she plunged her tongue between his lips, claiming his kiss. Then she reached between them and circled the stiff nub of nerve-packed flesh. Once, twice. That was all it required to soar over the edge, taking him with her.

Her core clamped down on him, milking, rippling. She flung back her head, crying out his name. Dimly, she heard him shout hers, felt the hard, almost brutal strokes inside her before his arms clinched her to him.

Together, they fell. And whatever else might happen, they’d catch each other.

Michelle had not seen her brother Andrew in person for about five years, and when Candace called the next day to tell her that they'd both be coming to Quinley, she'd been very excited, although worried… knowing why they were coming. But at least there was a silver lining, she would have someone to talk to about this thing brewing between her and Nick. With the constant bickering and complaints about Candace meddling in her private life in the past, Michelle was baffled by how they'd gone from that to her being excited to tell her sister about her love life, and honestly it wasn't so bad.

Apparently Andrew's situation had been kept from their grandparents so they wouldn't worry, but their mother was aware, and she'd urged Candace to go with Andrew to find a solution to his debt problem while she stayed with their grandparents. The fact that Candace had agreed was proof that she was also starting to believe in their mother once again. Their family had slowly reunited, finally coming together and getting along again, but now this thing with Andrew was threatening to be another issue for them to deal with.

It was evening when they arrived, and Michelle took in her brother after giving Candace a really tight hug. He looked different. Older, a bit more sophisticated if she could use the word and he'd obviously gotten some tattoos… A lot of tattoos actually, judging by what she could see from his neck and sleeves of his shirt. Nice tats too she could admit.

“Andrew,” she said, and finally pulled him into a hug, “I'm really glad to see you again. Do you have any idea how long it has been?”

Andrew chuckled slightly, “I missed you too, Michelle,” he said in response as he looked. “House is in good shape. You've done really well taking care of it,”

“Well…” Candace began with a smile, “I did help actually…”

“Oh please. You showed up for two or three weeks tops every few months to meddle and clean. I think I did a huge part of the work,”

Knowing his sisters, Andrew made the wise decision to stay out of conversation. Still the very quiet and calm one in the family, Michelle thought and smiled at him. “I cooked,” she said, “In preparation for your arrival, and I actually think it turned out good,”

Candace scrunched up her nose playfully, “Michelle, it's nothing that will have us keep visiting the toilet throughout the night, is it?”

There was a time when comments like that from Candace would have pissed Michelle off, but now she laughed. She was a different woman now. A happy woman. A woman in love, and she couldn't even wait to tell her sister about it. Her brother, not so much.

“Relax and trust me,” Michelle told her, “Now you guys go freshen up and I'll get the table ready,”

The food was actually great and after dinner that evening, when Andrew had retired to bed, Candace knocked lightly on Michelle's bedroom door and stepped in. She was thankful for the new found understanding between her and Michelle that seemed to be growing stronger everyday because right now, she needed it, especially with the plan she'd come up with to help their brother. Her last resort.

“How's Andrew?” asked Michelle when Candace came in. Apparently she'd been expecting her arrival and didn't even bother to ask her why she'd come. “Still the silent and brooding brother we grew up with?”

Candace chuckled and nodded, “You got that right,” she replied, “But not calm enough to stay out of trouble you see,” she sank into the bed with a little bounce before sitting up to stare at Michelle, who simply watched her, “I've got a plan,” she said, “And if all goes well it could work, but I'm also scared because there is a high chance that it won't.

Michelle shrugged. “Well that makes one of us,” she said, “because I want to help. I really do, but I don't know how. Nick says he will help too, but he just got his promotion at work and I don't know how much of a help he can be. So do tell me this plan of yours… And why are you scared if you came all this way for it?”

Candace stared wide eyed at her sister for a while before lying back on the bed as she said softly, “Because it involves Nolan,”
