Chapter 41: XADEN

CHAPTER 41

XADEN

I was heading to my room when the doorbell rang. My brows arched as I turned to open the door. There was a delivery guy standing there, holding a brown box.

“Good evening, sir.” he greeted.

I just returned from work. Still dressed in my black suit, looking like a boss.

“Good evening,” I answered.

“I have a package for Ms Sloane…is she in?” he asked.

A package for Sloane? Did someone send her a gift?

“Yes, who is the sender?” I asked.

“She ordered a package from us,” he responded.

Oh. She ordered it herself? Was there something she needed that I wasn't aware of?

“Where should I sign?” I asked, holding the form he had given to me after he told me Sloane had ordered the package herself. He pointed to a blank space and I scribbled my signature.

With the box in my hands, I closed the door, eyes on the box. My brows arched as I glanced at it. Since Sloane returned to my life, there is not a single thing I don’t know about her. I know everything she needs and I always make sure she has them before she tries to solve it on her own.

Not that she can’t but one of the reasons I allowed myself to get where I am is so that she won’t have to lift a finger to get what she wants.

But how did I not know about this?

“That’s —- That’s mine!” Her voice filled the living room.

I turned, tracing her voice to the top of the stairs. Her throat bobbed, eyes on the box in my hands. Her chest is rising and falling. Beads of sweat plastered on her forehead.

She ran down the stairs, surging towards me, just as she was about to reach for the box, I stepped away, lifting my hands up to prevent her from getting the box.

This is suspicious.

“That’s —that’s my box.” she stuttered again. Her eyes were anywhere but on me.

“I heard you the first time,” I answered, my head tilted to take a peek at her but she still won’t look at me.

“So why won’t you give me the box?” she asked.

“Because you are acting suspicious and now I want to know what’s in it,” I said, still holding the box in my hands.

Her eyes grew wider instantly. Her throat bobbed and horror spread across her face like the idea of me seeing what was inside the box was terrifying.

“No— you can’t.” she stuttered, stepping forward, eyes still on the box.

“Why?”

“Because—that’s invasion of privacy,” she said.

“Really? Try harder, Peach.”

“Xaden, please come on, just give me the box.” she winced.

I should give her the box but watching her fidget is thrilling. The way she keeps looking at the box, biting her lips, and leaning towards me to sneak it away from my grip.

Could it be?

There is no way… she did not actually order a …

“Sloane?” I called.

“Hm?”

“Did you order a sex toy?”

Her jaw dropped in disbelief. Her eyes widened in awe, flickered speechlessly. Her mouth moved but words didn’t come through.

Did she really order a sex toy?

“Sloane?”

“No!” She finally barked, “I didn’t! I didn’t order anything like that.”

She sounds defensive. This box might not have a sex toy but that flushed look on her face, the way she keeps biting her lips… she has a sex toy.

Ohh… this is interesting.

What is it?

A dildo? A rose vibrator?

I want to know.

There is only one way to find out. “Which is it?” I asked.

“Which is what?” She barked, defensive.

“Which of the toys did you buy?”

“I didn’t buy a toy…. I didn’t buy any toy.”

“I don’t believe you. If it’s not a sex toy, why won’t you show me?” I asked.

She gritted her teeth, “Why? Can’t I order anything I want?” She fired.

I tilted my head a little, “A dildo?”

“No!”

“A vibrator?”

“Xaden!”

“Just tell me.”

Silence.

“Why? Why should I tell you?”

“Because I want to know why you thought about buying a toy instead of coming to me.” The words fell out of my mouth before I could even control myself.

I am not an innocent guy. But with Sloane I am careful. Extremely careful. Maybe because I had known her since she was little. The constant pressure to not cross the line. The constant reminder not to look at her in a way that would be too inappropriate.

It’s embedded in me.

Even though I am shamelessly raw. I can’t bring myself to be that kind of man around her. But here I am asking why she turned to a sex toy when she could have come to me.

And if she comes to me, what will I do? Will I kiss her, use my finger? Or shove my cock through her entrance and watch her beg for me to make her cum?

Silence.

The silence was so deafening that it yanked me out of my dirty thought.

Sloane’s cheeks are flushed. Red. She looked like she was burning from the inside.

Does she think I am a pervert? I should have controlled myself.

Should I tell her it’s a joke? Maybe I should—

“So what? If I ask for your help, what will you do?” She asked.

Huh?

The look in her eyes is different. A different side of Sloane I had not seen before. Something was burning inside her eyes. Desire. Something darker than what I saw the night she was drunk.

“I asked a question, Xaden. If I sneak into your room, because the Sex toy doesn't work, why will you do? Will you put your finger inside me? Or will you bend me over and thrust inside me and fuck me ruthlessly?”

Wh—-what is this girl saying?

Fuck her ruthlessly? Where did she learn to say such lewd —-

Ah! Sloane is no longer a kid. She is an adult. A grown woman. A woman who obviously knows what happens between a man and a woman.

I know how I feel about her but I guess I haven’t thought about her deeply like this before.

Fucking Sloane in my bedroom.

Is she a screamer? Is she a creamer? Would she squirt on my face if I eat her out? How will she look like if I had her under me?

“Pervert!” She hissed.

Fuck.

Did she realize the beast she unleashed inside of me?

She surged towards me, wrapping her arms around men stretching to grab the box but I held it higher.

She jumped on me, wrapping her arms around my neck, struggling to reach for the box. I couldn’t help but laugh while keeping the box away from her.

She laughed into my neck. Her legs wrapped around me. She held on to me, laughing, “Stop being a bully.”

I miss this playfulness. I like it. I want more.

“What the hell is going on here?” His voice was the last thing I wanted to hear.

My little brother Jasper.

The obstacle standing in the way of me and Sloane becoming a couple.
