This is the Suttons‘ banquet. Don’t tell me you plan to ruin this too?”
Albert had struck right at Sean’s weak spot.
With no choice, Sean reluctantly took a seat in the corner of the banquet.
He radiated coldness so intensely that anyone approaching him would’ve been asking for trouble.
Unnoticed by Sean, a small figure had been secretly watching him the entire time.
The hosts of the Sutton Family’s banquet naturally made their appearance.
Andrea was also among the guests.
She spotted Sean but didn’t dare approach him.
It wasn’t Sean she feared–it was Albert.
Truth be told, had Albert not personally warned her back then, she might’ve become Mrs. Robson already, given Sean’s obsession with her.
Andrea still remembered Albert’s words vividly:
“I don’t care who Sean dates, but someone of your standing could never be a Robson wife!
If you’re shameless enough to seduce him into marriage, I wouldn’t mind making him a widower.”
Widowed…
Andrea knew the ruthless Mr. Robson was capable of it.
While waiting for his moment, Jacob realized his scumbag dad’s entire family and the woman his dad fancied were all
present.
His brow furrowed.
He’d been too eager to avenge Mom today, only checking Sean’s attendance.
He hadn’t discovered this banquet was hosted by the Sutton Family.
But since he was here, leaving empty–handed wasn’t an option.
Seizing the moment before Geoffrey approached, Jacob tiptoed to grab a wine glass from the table, marching toward
Sean.
“Uncle, you seem upset. Have a drink?”

Sean was wondering which fool dared disturb him when he looked down at a kid not even reaching his thigh.
Who brought a child here?
With Jacob’s mask and cap, Sean only saw striking eyes that felt oddly familiar.
But Sean despised children.
“Not drinking.”
His voice was ice.
Jacob pressed forward, offering the glass.
Sean scowled, swatting it away. “Get lost!”
Whether from Sean’s shout startling him or sheer coincidence,
Jacob’s hand jerked sideways, spilling the entire glass of red wine onto Sean’s crotch.
Sean’s face darkened. “Damn it!”
Jacob pretended to be utterly terrified, his eyes reddening as his voice trembled: “I’m sorry, Sir… I didn’t mean to…”
Sean glared at him, fire burning in his eyes.
Deliberately raising his volume with a teary voice, Jacob cried: “Sir… you wouldn’t hit a kid, would you?”
Jacob’s voice successfully drew everyone’s attention–all eyes turned their way.
Sean: “…”
་་
When did I ever say I’d hit you?
Though no saint, he’d never stoop to hitting a child.
Sean rose to his feet, his face darkening.
Jacob sniffled, tears welling up: “Sir… your pants got dirty… I can take mine off for you to wear.”
“Please don’t be mad… okay?”
Sean: “…”
11
Your pants… would they even fit me?!
The stares around grew more intense. Sean felt staying any longer would make him the center of attention.
People who didn’t know might think he was bullying a child.
Sean hurried toward the restroom.
Jacob immediately dropped the pitiful act, grabbed his smartwatch, found the perfect angle, and snapped a photo of

the flustered Sean.
He wasn’t done yet–he followed Sean to a suite.
Nearby, Heather noticed the child, her heart softening.
She took a sip of wine and told Andrea beside her, “What an adorable kid, so well–behaved and polite.”
“If Geoff had a child, it’d be just like him.”
Only around such young children did Heather’s perpetually icy face show warmth.
Andrea knew she was being nudged about getting pregnant soon and could only agree.
Entering the temporary room.
Sean called his assistant to deliver fresh clothes.
Soon, the assistant arrived: “Sir, I’ve left the clothes on the table.”
“Mm, you can go.”
“Yes.”
The assistant opened the door and left, unaware a child was hiding behind the sofa.
After all, who’d dare barge into Sean’s room?
Sean went to the bathroom for a shower.
Listening to the running water, Jacob tiptoed out, grabbed Sean’s clothes and phone, then tossed them straight down from the third floor.
“This is payback for bullying my mom.”
After finishing this, he deliberately disabled the room’s landline connected to the Banquet Hall before leaving.
Jacob pulled down his cap brim and hurried downstairs. Just as he reached the lobby exit, he sprinted too fast and col- lided headfirst with a man’s straight, long legs.
“Sorry…”
Jacob apologized to the approaching figure, looking up to meet the icy gaze of his deadbeat dad.
Geoffrey studied his eyes, inexplicably feeling a strange sense of familiarity.
“Fine.”
He replied coldly.
Jacob scurried away immediately.
Even after exiting the Banquet Hall, his little heart kept pounding–he’d actually bumped into Geoffrey.

Thank goodness for the mask and cap.
Meanwhile, in the Banquet Hall suite, Sean emerged from his shower in a furious rage!
