“Our White family may be humble, but we never sought to climb the Robson family’s high branch. They’re the ones who proposed to me.”
Having said this, she whisked Jacob away like the wind.
Truthfully, saying these things before so many people still embarrassed her slightly.
Only then did the crowd realize this woman was Katherine–no wonder Sean disliked her, a proper shrew.
And she brought a child along too.
“Sean, is this your… fiancee and son?”
Larry watched from the side with amusement.
Sean thought about what the two had said and gave an awkward smile. “Yeah.”
“Larry, I just remembered something urgent. I should get going.”
Sean grabbed his coat and hurried out.
Shortly after he left, whispers erupted behind him.
“So that’s Katherine? Bold move talking to Sean like that.”
“Probably banking on having the eldest grandson of the Robson family.”
“Doesn’t that kid look a bit unlike Sean to you?”
“Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
After greeting Sean, Katherine and Roy got into the private car heading back to the Robson residence.
They’d just arrived home when Maureen called.
Maureen asked if Roy and Katherine could join them for Christmas Holidays tomorrow.

Katherine sounded hesitant. “Reenie, you know Albert still thinks Roy’s his grandson. He’s invited all the Robson relatives over tomorrow.”
“Not a single free moment the whole day?”
Maureen pressed.
Katherine nodded. “Yeah, completely packed schedule. The old man absolutely adores Roy.”
“I can’t imagine how heartbroken he’d be if he learned the truth.”
Bringing this up, Maureen stepped into an empty corner.
“Katherine, I’ve decided to start over with Geoffrey.”
Katherine heard this and was only slightly surprised: “Have you made up your mind?”
“Yeah, I want to give us a chance.”
“Whatever you decide, I’ll support you.”
Katherine knew Maureen and Geoffrey couldn’t become strangers because they shared children.
“Will you tell him the kids are actually his?”
Maureen gazed into the pitch–black night: “Not yet.”
“He’s kind to me now because he lost his memory. I don’t know if he’ll stay this way after remembering…”
Katherine nodded: “True. What if this bastard’s faking it?”
Immediately, she backtracked on her own words.
“Impossible. What would he gain pretending to like you if he doesn’t?
Someone as proud as Geoffrey would never fake feelings.”
Geoffrey would forcibly hide his affection even when he liked someone, let alone when he didn’t.
Katherine couldn’t stop talking once she started:
“Reenie, I’ve been thinking. You mistook him for Alex before, so you always thought he didn’t love you, that he was a jerk.”
“But he was basically a stranger to you. No feelings, how could he give you any?”

“The only bad thing is, he shouldn’t have blamed you for the wrongs your mother and brother did.”
“All in all, he’s just a petty man with too much pride. Not too much of a jerk.”
Thinking this, Katherine felt a little relieved.
Maureen was listening attentively: “Yeah, I know all that.”
But Katherine changed the subject: “But now, besides amnesia, he’s blind too, Reenie. Being with him would be tough.”
How can a blind man make money? Born into high society, he definitely can’t do manual labor.
Just thinking about this, Katherine got worried again.
“Reenie, don’t be fooled by good looks. I think compared to him, Gareth is better.
Maureen wasn’t too surprised by this shift, knowing Katherine was thinking for her.
“Why bring up Gareth again? Last time Gareth told me he only sees me as a friend, and I’m not good enough for him anyway.”
Katherine was about to say more when the maid came and said dinner was ready.
Maureen could only hang up in a hurry, deciding to meet the amnesiac jerk privately and make him back off, so he wouldn’t delay Reenie and the two perfect kids.
Maureen headed for dinner too. As she turned, she spotted Geoffrey standing nearby, unsure if he’d overheard her conversation.
Geoffrey heard her footsteps, his thin lips parting: “Dinner’s ready.”
“Alright.”
“I didn’t mean to eavesdrop.”
Geoffrey added.
Maureen smiled faintly: “Mm, got it.”
Though saying this, Geoffrey kept pondering Maureen’s words before entering.
What did she mean by “he only sees me as a friend” and “I’m unworthy of him“?
Does Maureen still have feelings for Gareth?
