Chapter218
If not for his hand gripping the railing, she might’ve thought his vision had returned.
When persuasion failed, Heather stepped outside.
Wayne emerged from the car nearby.
“Mrs. Gu.”
“Has Geoff been alone at Pearl these days?”
Wayne nodded. “Mr. Sutton won’t let anyone in. I personally deliver all his meals.”
“He’s blind! How can he stay alone?”
Heather’s voice tightened with concern.
“Mr. Sutton rarely trips lately. I’ve noticed he seems to have memorized every corner of the villa.”
Wayne’s admiration was palpable.
Heather felt a pang of bitterness. “Our Geoff’s had a photographic memory since childhood. He never forgets anything unless he chooses to. Yet now… he loses his memories.”
After losing his memory and sight, Geoffrey grew more irritable. He showed kindness only to Maureen, treating everyone else with contempt.
Heather felt particularly anxious recalling Geoffrey’s attitude toward her moments earlier.
She asked Wayne, “How do we get him to accept others?”
Wayne hesitated before answering.
“Besides dating Andrea, Boss only married Maureen. There’ve been no other women.”
Geoffrey always prioritized his career, showing little interest in romance.
If Wayne hadn’t mentioned Andrea, Heather might’ve forgotten her entirely.

“Where is Andrea now?”
Wayne cleared his throat. “State Psychiatric Hospital.”

Director’s Office
Andrea stood in a hospital gown, hair disheveled, gaze vacant.
A flicker of fear crossed her eyes when she saw Heather enter.
Assuming Heather came to hold her accountable, Andrea immediately feigned ignorance:
“Sorry… didn’t mean to… won’t do it again… sorry…
Heather stared in disbelief.
“What happened to you?”
Andrea remained silent. Days earlier, Sean had given her a hard time.
Had she not pretended madness, Sean would never have let her off easily.
Heather sighed and said to the fawning director behind her, “Seems I’ve come for nothing. She’s truly gone mad.”
With that, she turned to leave.
Andrea, seeing she was about to be taken away and not wanting to be locked up with lunatics forever, immediately ran up to Heather.
“Mrs. Potter, I’m not crazy.”
Heather stopped in her tracks and looked back at her.
Andrea continued, “I saw the news. If you don’t mind, I’d like to take care of Geoffrey.”
“It was Geoff who locked you up here. Don’t you hate him?”
Heather asked.
Andrea shook her head. “I know Geoffrey was tricked. Those videos were fake. I never

betrayed him. I’ve always loved him.”
Heather didn’t care about the truth. She just wanted someone to take care of Geoffrey, preferably to give him a child.
“Alright, come with me.”
With Heather’s word, the director couldn’t very well keep Andrea locked up.
Andrea walked out of the asylum with Heather. Seeing the clear blue sky outside, she felt reborn.
Once in the car, Heather warned her, “I don’t care what happened before. From now on, you must be devoted to Geoff.”
“Yes, I will.”
Andrea nodded.
After being locked up, she realized that even as a celebrity, she remained just a tiny ant- utterly insignificant in the Sutton family’s eyes, easily crushed by a single hand.
Andrea followed Heather to Pearl. Learning Geoffrey had not only gone blind but also lost his memory, a flicker of secret delight crossed her heart.
Amnesia meant he wouldn’t remember what he’d done. From now on, every story would be hers to spin, wouldn’t it?
Amid the ice and snow, Pearl held not a trace of warmth.
Andrea pushed the door open to find Geoffrey seated on the sofa–spine rigid, profile sharp, eyes pitch–black as ink, showing no hint of blindness.
Just as confusion settled in, Geoffrey spoke.
“Who?”
Seeing him look toward her without recognition, Andrea confirmed Heather’s words.
“Geoffrey, it’s me.

Since leaving the hospital, Geoffrey had deliberately memorized the voices around him.
This unfamiliar sound at the doorway put him on edge.

“You are?”
“I’m Andrea. Your ex–girlfriend.”
A Former Girlfriend?
Geoffrey’s brow furrowed deeply.
Andrea stepped closer: “Geoffrey, I saw the news. Reenie’s divorcing you.”
“She’s always been self–centered. Don’t let her hurt you.”
Geoffrey nearly threw her out, but her mention of Reenie stopped him:
“You know her well?”
“Yeah. We attended the same schools from elementary through college. I practically grew up at the Ramirez home.”
She avoided mentioning the Ramirez Family’s charity.
Moving before Geoffrey, she sat and studied his face–the scar from the car window glass still visible.
Her hand lifted instinctively to touch it.
Geoffrey shifted away as if sensing it.
Andrea’s hand froze mid–air: “Geoffrey, let me stay and care for you?”
“I’m not like Reenie. Nothing about you could ever repulse me.”

She genuinely cared for Geoffrey… and his wealth.
Even blinded, he’d outshine any other man.
Yet Geoffrey’s reply was ice:
“Get out.”
Her expression froze.
Minutes later, Geoffrey ejected her from the room.
