Chapter 2.
ZENEVIEVA……
After I felt some relief from the pains Marcella caused me, I decided to leave as well. Retaliating back at people like her would only cause me more problems and decrease my chances of staying here in peace.
Since they act like the world is theirs for now, let them own it.
While walking along the passageway, I felt someone running after me, until a palm gripped my ear and squeezed it so much that I pushed such a person with force.
"You dared push me, bitch." I heard the feminine voice shriek at me.
I was shocked to see that it was the princess, Tyson's sister standing before me.
"I'm very sorry princess, I was unaware that you were the one." I apologized when it was supposed to be the other way around. I was the offended one here, she had no right to twist my ears so painful in such a manner, but she landed a heavy slap to my cheek causing me to feel twinkling stars leaving my eyes.
For a while I wasn't myself, I just hate all these messes that I'm passing through because I'm the prince's mate. If I had barely taken position and I was already receiving whips and lashes, how much more when I now claim Tyson and being declared as his Luna?
I chuckled at such impossible thoughts, I will be waged with war even before that happens in my dreams.
"Isn't it time you leave this palace? You're aiming to bring quarrels into this family." She roared at me trying to get hold of my head but I kicked off her palm.
This is just enough.
"You both should be thanking your ass that I'm already here making it easy for him to find me as his mate. Besides, I'm not forcing myself on him, if he wants to reject me then he should go ahead and do that." I retorted.
My heart was beating faster, not because I was scared but because I was damn annoyed.
Why the heck should they be threatening my life because I'm the prince's mate when they should question the moon goddess?
"It has reached this extent, talking back at the Alpha princess huh?" She smirked, but I didn't care. I'm only preventing my wolf from doing the worse or she won't be standing before me. I'm more fierce than this fragile body so underestimating me is the worst thing.
"Now you go to that water and draw out the water. Make sure to fill those drums out there." She ordered me, dragging me outside to show me a large empty barrel that stood in like and telling the other maids to make sure I filled it up without any assistance.
I don't need to be told that it's an act of punishment. "It's not a big deal." I snapped and walked out.
Not that drawing water from the well isn't difficult, but I just want her to feel hurt a bit.
I walked to the well and began my punishment of pulling out water from the well, meanwhile, there were two other maids there before I arrived.
I was almost done with the first barrel when one of them broke the silence with a mocking question, I only lifted my face to stare at the female saying that.
"At least you shouldn't be expecting him to be your mate when you know so well that you'll be rejected. An Alpha prince can't have a rogue as a mate." The maid added.
I tapped her back. "Are you still referring to me?" My eyes narrowed while glaring at her.
She nodded, smiling sheepishly. "Of course, aren't you the rogue that the Alpha prince just found as his mate? Marcella is his lover and I don't think he's gonna leave her." The maid stated.
I only took a deep breath.
"Have you found your mate?" The other maid referred to her to my defense.
She threw heavy glares at her. "And how is it your business?"
"It is because you haven't and you're making fun of someone who has. Better to zip up your lips or you'll end up in the dungeon." The maid startled the other with her words and left immediately.
I walked closer to the maid and gripped her ear.
"Don't you ever interfere in anything concerning me, or you wouldn't like my action," I warned her, but she gripped my cloth and tore it.
I became more furious than earlier that I had to start punching her heavily in her face, letting out all my pent-up frustrations I got from both sides of the family and scattering her face fiercely.

TYSON……
My mind hasn't been at rest since I left my parents in my room, what's eating me up isn't that I've gotten a nonchalant as a mate..but the order given to me by my father.
"Just ten days for the coronation and mating ceremony to take place. Isn't that too early?" I thought and shook my head in depression. "I don't want to lose this throne nor do I want to make her my Luna, so what the heck am I going to do now?"
Those questions kept roaming in my mind, but still, I was unable to get a reply to them.
I've lost my appetite, so I don't think eating is for me today.
"Alpha..." I heard someone call out my name, with the voice I could tell that it was my sister calling, so I moved to the door and unlocked it, letting her in.
"You look frustrated, I just hope it's not about that good for nothing Vieva?" She got seated beside me.
I sighed deeply. "It is, I'm so haunted right now."
"Don't Tell me you're planning to make her your Luna." She queried anxiously, and I could see it in her eyes.
I stretched my lips. "Not at all, but if I don't, I won't be crowned. So I don't know what to do again." I scratched my head repeatedly.
She was mute for a while and then brought up an idea.
"Ummm! What if you make her your surrogate Luna for a few days, and later on you abandon her and banish her from the pack?" She suggested.
I rolled my eyes. That idea made sense.
"But, what about the mating ceremony?" I asked her.
She licked her lips. "You'll tell the priest that you aren't ready for it now until you find out who exactly she is, and then the coronation will take place."
"Do you think it will be easy to reject her afterward? Will Mother allow it?" I was so scared of my mother, she can do anything to stop whatever I think I'm doing.
She's so strict with us, unlike my father.
"Ahhh! Everything about my mother makes me feel awkward." She hissed and chiseled her face. "Okay, an accusation will be raised against her, like stealing any of the sacred stuff that led you to reject and banish her."
Huh! This lady is making sense, I wouldn't have known what to do if she wasn't around.
Now, I have to start drawing my plans. First, I'll see the priest about our coronation and discuss it with him.
"Have you seen Marcella? I just hope she isn't sad." The princess uttered.
I shook my head. "I haven't seen her."
A knock came on the door and she rushed to see who was there. Seconds later, a guard walked in and bowed.
"Your majesty, Zenevieva has beaten up a maid that she's now unconscious." The guard announced.
I stood up forcefully from the bed.
"The Zenevieva in this palace?" I asked him, and he nodded.
I took a deep breath.
"Go and get her here now, and her hands should be tied backward," I ordered the guard.
