Chapter 46

Aaron's father in law tells him "Think of this as a good news instead of thinking about that painful memory that made him like this" Aaron just nods his head hearing him. This is something which is easy to say but hard to act upon. Same is the case with him, even though his father in law told him that supressing his pain, he definitely knows that how much he must be hurting from inside. He knows that he is worried about Max as he is like a new born now. But he is just choosing to stay calm and not show his pain unlike him who is showing his pain outside for the first time after Max has gone into coma. He has made sure not to show his pain outside but after Kate has entered his life, he has completely changed an is showing his pain outside just to her without lying or attempting to hide it. His father in law goes and sits on the chair again. Aaron remembering Kate looks at his side and sees her smiling at him. He reluctantly smiles back at her not wanting to upset her and let her know about the hurricane that is going inside him. But from whom is he hiding, the woman who can read him like an open book. He sits on a chair again waiting for his best friend to wake up from his long sleep. Kate sits beside him.

They all are waiting for Max to open his eyes. The doctors and the nurse go into the cabin to see whether everything is alright and checks him. They find that he is perfectly alright but wonder as to why he is still not opening his eyes. Doctor asks them to wait for some more time for him to wake up and assuring them that he is perfectly fine, they leave from there. The waiting begins again. Kate leans on the wall of the cabin and looks into the cabin where Max is lying unconscious with all the wires attached to his body. Kate opens her eyes wide seeing him slowly trying to open his eyes. Kate calls Aaron and shows him Max who is struggling to open his eyes and they all enter the room.

Max opens his eyes a little but then the brightness of the room forces him to close his eyes again without letting him open them. Aaron desperately holds his hands ahd asks him to open his eyes. Max is feeling like the brightness is killing him, he can feel his best friend desperately asking him to wake up but this time his tone held unknown happiness unlike before where he used to hear him cry and desperately beg him that wake up. This time he sounded desperate but happy. He can feel the happiness in his best friend's tone. He too wants to open his eyes and go back to his friend but unfortunately his eyes are not able to bear the brightness. He wants to open his eyes, smile at his friend and console him hugging him like he always did to stop him from crying. But this time he is not able to do so. Even his body feels heavy due to laying there for years. He with his will power and his desire to console his crying friend, he opens his eyes. Even though the brightness is forcing him to close his eyes but still he fought with it and finally managed to open his beautiful grey eyes. He opens his eyes to see those same beautiful blue grey eyes staring at him desperately. His vision is blurry but then he can clearly see his best friend's happy tears. He closes his eyes again but this this time to clear off the blurry vision. Aaron panics seeing him close his eyes but the very next moment he opens his eyes making him sigh in relief. This time also it is blurry but then that as blurry as before. His eyes which were closed for five years is not able to see everything properly. Max weakly smiles at Aaron with his blurry vision. Aaron's vision is blurry as well but it's his tears that are blurring the vision. He bends over him and places a kiss on his forehead. Max tries to lift his hand to cup his face but is not able to. He with effort lifts up his hand and slowly touches Aaron on his shoulder. Aaron holds his hand and kisses on it with tears filled eyes. Max gives him a weak smile and tries to talk but it is as if his voice is completely blocked. Aaron shakes his head in no asking him not to say anything and keeps his head on his chest and breaks into tears. He keeps crying on his chest. Everyone in the room are in tears seeing them. Even Max's father, Aaron's father in law who is a stone hearted had tears in his eyes seeing them which shook Twinkle who is crying seeing her brother concious after five years. She was crying but at the same time shocked seeing her father. She looks at Kate who is looking at both of them with tears in her eyes. She saw that happiness for him in het eyes which she never saw in anyone else for another person who has treated you in a brutal way. She knows Aaron enough to know that he would have made her go through hell so that he can depend on her or trust her like he is doing right now. She feels pity for Kate for having to bear his tortures but at the same time she is happy for Aaron for having Kate in his life. Aaron keeps crying in his arms while Max tries to calm him down by patting on his head with the tiny energy that is left in him. Twinkle keeps her hand on Aaron's shoulder to bring him back into his senses and stop him from crying but from the side she looks at Kate who is burning in jealousy with the way she is touching him and feels happy knowing that Kate actually feels for him in a romantic way apart from sympathy.

Aaron after crying for some moments lifts his head from his chest and looks at Max with eyes filled with tears. Max also has tears in his eyes seeing his friend soo broken and in pain. Max tries to cup his face in order to console him but he can only lift it to some extent. Aaron bends so that he can touch him and Max touches him on his cheek and shakes his head in no asking him not to cry. Aaron holds his hand that is on his cheek ahd breaks into more tears. They both are in tears and seeing them everyone in the room are in tears. The doctor comes there and asks them to leave the cabin till he checks Max and treat him. The doctor asks them not to pressure the patient and asks them to leave again. Aaron holds his hand tighter and sits on the same spot not leaving him. Kate keeps her hand on his shoulder asking him to leave so that doctor can treat him. Max also notices the woman witu green beautiful doe like eyes infront of him. Even in that position he kind of gets mesmerized by her beauty. He has never seen someone as beautiful as her. He then looks at his friend who is looking at the girl that kept her hand on his shoulder and nodding in agreement he stands up from there but not before kissing him on his hand. He has never seen Aaron respect someone or follow someone but today he has seen the unexpected. He is sure that he has went to coma and at that time everything would have changed. He knows he was in coma due to their reactions ahd the change in them but how many years he doesn't know. He watches as Aaron, his sister, his father and the beautiful woman leave the cabin. The doctor checks him again and comes out of the cabin.

The doctor tells them "He is fine now but for few months he can't walk, talk and live like he did before. He was laying there for years, his body must have become habituated to laying there. So it will become difficult for him to walk. Be with him, encourage him and always take care of him. He will be discharged tomorrow morning. Till then any one of you can stay here ahd please don't pressurize him. He is not a normal person. He is a patient. I understand your pain and desperation but he is not in a position to take the pressure. It will only be for some months and after that he will become like before and will live his life like he did before. Infact if he has that will power and is strong enough then he will become normal in just one month. His healing depends on his will power solely and now he is resting, let him rest for some more time and don't disturb him for some time or until I tell you guys to meet him" saying so the doctor leaves from there. They nod at his words and sitting on the chairs they wait.

Kate brings burgers for all of them thinking that may be they are hungry and need something to eat. She first gives the burger to Aaron who even though don't want to eat at that moment but not wanting to hurt her takes the burger and bites on it. She then gives the burger to Twinkle who without looking at her takes the burger and eats. She don't want look at Kate and let her know that she is not a typical wife. Kate frowns seeing her not look at her. This woman always confuses her. She then gives the burger to Aaron's father in law who denies to take it. Kate insists and he takes it from his hands. Twinkle looks at him with shocked expression with the change but then she sees him go near a dust bin and throw it in the dust bin. She makes a disgusting face at him for disrespecting the food. Aaron gets angry at him. He fists his hands and stands up from the sofa in anger.

Aaron tells him with anger "If you don't want it. You should have just denied. Why did you throw it in the dust bin?"

His father in law tells him with equal anger "I denied but that woman insisted. Knowing that she won't leave without me taking it, I took it and threw it in the dust bin not wanting to entertain that non sense anymore"

Kate comes to them and tells him "They are many out there who is dying of hunger and struggling to get one time of full meal but here you are throwing it in the bin without even thinking. Do you even know the importance of food sir?"

Christopher Jane Johnson smirks at her and tells her " Well I am not a street dog like you to struggle for one time of meal. I am Christopher Jane Johnson one of the richest businessman in this world after Aaron. I can never struggle for food and eating from the hands of a bitch like you makes me as low as you"

Kate looks at him shocked with his words. Even Aaron and Twinkle is disgusted and shocked with his words. This bastard only knows to hurt people and treat them like shit. They both come out of their shock when he continues to insult her and make her feel low "You are a fucking low life who sleeps with my son in law like a whore ahd is living with the money he is giving you. You are a shit that should be in dust bin then how did you expect me to eat the burger which your hands has touched.

Aaron shouts at him furiously and holds his collar in anger. He punches him on his face making Twinkle happy while Kate has tears in her eyes hearing his words. She somehow felt like he is right and she is actually a slut in the eyes of the society. Kate holds his hands and pulls him away from Christopher asking him not to create a scene in the hospital.

Aaron leaves him ahd looking at him in anger shouts at him "You are a fucking bastard who doesn't care about anyone but himself. You are not even thinking about the hurt that would inflict on her with your words and continuously insulting her. What if someone says that same to your daughter?"

Christopher looks at him with equal anger ahd tells him "She is my daughter. My fucking daughter. She can do whatever she wants in her life. She is rich and grew up with a silver spoon unlike the bitch whom you are fucking everyday like a man whore does to a slut"

Twinkle closes her eyes hearing her father say such words to someone. Kate closes her eyes while tears flowed from her eyes. May be only humiliation is written in her fate. May be everyone feels happy humiliating her and hurting her. There are few people near the ward who are looking at them weirdly and enjoying the drama unfolding infront of their eyes. Kate looks at the people who are looking at her with judgement. This humiliation is killing her.

Aaron holds his collar and pulling him close, he shouts at him "Kate is pure. She has a pure heart and loves to help people unlike you who hurt people for your happiness or to feel superior to them. You are fucking insulting a woman without understanding the pain that would be inflicted on that woman with your disgusting words. I have never seen someone as disgusting as you. No wonder that even your son hates you. You are in a fucking hospital where your son is laying on the bed unconscious and you are trying to humiliate someone you hate and show them low. You are a low life not her"

Christopher gets angry at his words. This is a huge humiliation for him. He frees himself from his hold and says to him in anger "I have never said this and always supported you in this matter but now listen, Max is in that condition just because of a bastard like you. He is in this condition because he wanted to save an orphan friend of his. He saved you and embraced the pain for years. You are the sole reason for his condition but I never blamed you. Always supported you but what did you give me, the humiliation for a whore. Sorry it's not accepted"

Aaron grits his teeth in anger hearing his last words. Even though his words about him being the reason hurted him but still the words he has used for Kate made him furious. He tells him coming closer to him "You call her whore once again then forget to walk with your two legs intact. Trust me I don't mind doing it. I don't care about anyone and you know it hence it is not hard for me to break you legs. And trust me even your son and my best friend won't mind it. You do know how much he despises you" Christopher becomes silent hearing his words. Aaron continues "I also always appreciated you for not blaming me but today I got to know that you didn't blame me because you wanted me to respect you and always follow your words. And when you came to know that won't happen you chose to blame me. These words were always in your heart. The difference is you just tried to cash on your son's accident. But you were not able to do so hence when your son came to conscious, you understood that it will never happen and decided to blame me and hurt me to get back at me for humiliating you infront of strangers just like you did to Kate. Am I right my dear father in law? Or Am I right?" Aaron asks him in the end. Christopher looks at him with anger and also a shock that he actually understood his motive and leaves from there in anger. Aaron looks at his figure till he goes out with anger. Aaron looks at his side to see Kate looking at the floor while tears flowed from her emarald green eyes. It hurts to see her cry like that. He knows that she must be hurting with the humiliation his father in law has done to her. He looks at the people who are staring at them and shouts at them to leave from there. Kate cries eveh harder remembering the stranger's disgusted and judgemental gaze. It is hard for her that take it. She is hurting from inside hearing his words. Now she understood that people what they show themselves is not their true self and just like that even though his father in law showed himself that he never blamed him but still he did and it was just a facade to keep Aaron in his hands. She feels bad for Aaron as his father in law blamed him and she knows how much he must be hurting even though he didn't show his pain to him. She from his actions in the hospital knew that he has always blamed himself and hence to console him. She looks at him with admiration and looking into his eyes she tells him "Don't be hurt with his words sir. Don't be sad. Don't blame yourself. He just said those words to satisfy his ego. Don't let his words affect you and hurt you" Aaron and Twinkle looks at her with shock hearing her.
