Chapter 111
Finally, Isabella took Faye, Olivia, and Rowan to the manor Faye had recommended.
Throughout the journey, Faye excitedly said, "Isabella, I heard the beef and lamb at this manor are really delicious."
"They also have hot springs. We can get massages after dinner."
Rowan's eyes lit up at this. After being so busy for so long, she really did need a massage.
When they got out of the car, all four took a deep breath.
"The air here is so fresh."
"I wish we could film here."
Rowan said out of habit.
Faye immediately responded, "Let me reach out and see."
Isabella said, "Rowan, we've already selected all the locations we need. Plus, negotiating for this place would definitely cost a lot of money. It's not necessary."
Faye stared at Isabella, surprised that Isabella was being so stingy.
Facing Faye's scrutiny, Isabella remained composed and said, "Alright, today we'll have all the beef and lamb we can eat."
At the mention of this, both Rowan and Olivia responded enthusiastically.
The place was doing good business, and there were no private villa areas available to rent, so the four of them had to go to the third floor of the hotel.
It was quite lively here too. A staff member led the four of them to a window-side table.
Faye ordered barbecue and several of the restaurant's signature dishes.
Smelling the aroma in the air, Isabella touched her stomach. She was actually getting hungry.
After a glass of fresh orange juice to whet her appetite, Isabella started eating.
The four of them were quite in sync. They took photos first before starting to eat.
Faye had even already decided to have some food shipped back to Hayden and Ava.
Isabella thought: 'Well, she hadn't even considered that.'
But Bianca was pregnant. Beef and lamb should be okay for her to eat, right?
"Isabella, is that Matthew over on the lawn?"
Faye tapped Isabella's arm. Isabella frowned slightly. Matthew was supposed to be in a meeting today, and there was a banquet tonight too.
But when she looked over, the person on the lawn really was Matthew.
Who was the woman next to him?
Olivia and Rowan also looked over.
Their attention was also focused on the woman beside Matthew.
Soon Faye cleared up the confusion.
"The woman next to Matthew looks like Briar."
Hearing this name, Olivia immediately looked at Isabella and said, "Briar?"
"Pretty close with Mr. Moore?"
"A man and woman alone together."
Faye immediately objected, "What do you mean alone together? Riley is standing right there."
"Plus, Matthew's leg isn't well. Don't read too much into it."
Olivia looked at Isabella, wanting to laugh. Faye's focus was quite odd. When a man wanted to do something bad, an inconvenient leg wouldn't stop him.
Isabella, the person in question, did feel a bit uncomfortable inside, but just as Faye said, Riley was there too.
She smiled lightly and said, "It's fine. There's still the banquet tonight."
"Faye, you'll come with us then."
Faye's eyes shifted, and she nodded, but still looked at Isabella with concern. "There's nothing between Matthew and Briar."
"I was a bit out of line before, but after Mom talked to me, I stopped trying to set them up. Anyway, Matthew treats you and Briar completely differently."
"I'm not overthinking it."
Isabella smiled gently. "We have the trust that should exist between husband and wife."
Faye quickly nodded.
"Isabella, you're right to think that way."
Isabella smiled modestly. When everyone's attention returned to eating, she quietly sent Matthew a message.
"Where are you having your meeting?"
Matthew glanced at his phone, his expression softening.
"At Peach Garden Manor."
"The scenery here is nice. I'll bring you to see it tomorrow."
Briar stared at Matthew's softened profile, her feelings complicated.
Matthew was cold to everyone, and she was especially unwilling to accept it.
"Mr. Moore, is there good news from work?"
Briar had a hint of secret hope in her heart.
But Matthew didn't look at her.
"It's about time. We can head back."
Hearing this, Riley immediately stepped forward.
Briar watched his retreating figure, the smile completely gone from her eyes, but her heart grew even more unwilling.
She narrowed her eyes. Who said only men had a desire to conquer?
Women did too!
When Isabella looked toward the lawn again, Matthew, Briar, and the others were already gone.
After finishing her meal and getting her massage, she went to the address Riley had sent her.
Olivia and Rowan accompanied them to select outfits and watched as the makeup artist did their makeup.
After Matthew came to pick them up, they finally took a taxi and left.
Rowan said with a smile, "This is great. I feel like from now on, I'm going to be successful."
Seeing Rowan suddenly so happy, Olivia didn't understand.
"Did you dream of lottery numbers last night?"
"No, I just realized I actually know such wealthy people. Real high society is right beside me."
Rowan laughed foolishly. "It's so amazing."
Hearing this, Olivia gently tapped her forehead.
"Work hard. Next time we go out, let's try not to take taxis."
Rowan stopped laughing.
Seeing her expression change, Olivia was quite amused.
The taxi driver, seeing the two women so cheerful, also smiled and joked with them.
At the banquet venue, Riley pushed Matthew while Isabella and Faye walked on either side of him.
As soon as Matthew arrived, people immediately came over to chat.
Isabella maintained a smile while staying by his side.
After several waves of people, Faye couldn't stand anymore and gave Isabella meaningful looks, wanting Isabella to accompany her to rest nearby.
Isabella declined.
Faye had no choice but to go rest by herself.
Matthew looked at Isabella. "If you're tired, go rest."
"I'm fine." After responding, Isabella instead looked at Riley and said, "Riley, why don't you go check on Faye?"
Riley's eyes flickered, and he left with a smile, giving the two of them space.
Isabella naturally moved behind Matthew.
She was just about to say something.
Briar came over, holding the arm of a middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man's gaze remained fixed on Matthew, not sparing Isabella a glance.
Briar, however, nodded slightly at Isabella.
"Mr. Moore, Mrs. Moore."
After she greeted them, the middle-aged man seemed somewhat surprised as he looked at Isabella.
"This is Matthew's wife?"
Hearing the man's way of addressing Matthew, Isabella quickly glanced at Matthew. Inexplicably, she sensed a subtle change in Matthew's expression, as if he didn't like it.
However, judging from Briar's behavior, this middle-aged man should be an elder close to her.
The Moore family and the Scott family seemed to have some business collaboration.
Seeing Isabella didn't respond immediately, the middle-aged man frowned.
He looked at Matthew and said, "Matthew, I happen to have some work matters I'd like to discuss with you."
Then he smiled at Isabella, clearly trying to dismiss her.
