Chapter 27 Making Big Decisions

This is the third morning I am waking up with a hangover. At this rate I might as well not stop drinking. I can't remember coming home though. This is my bed, this is my clothes. Where is Sammy?

I head downstairs where I find Sammy and Eric.

Becca ~"Hey Sammy."

Sammy ~"Hey babe. Remember Eric?"

Becca ~"Hey Eric."

Eric ~"Hey Becca."

Becca ~"How did we get home? I can't remember driving?"

Eric ~"I gave you girls a ride home. Your car is still at the club."

Becca ~"I was not that drunk?"

Sammy ~"Babe the had to go fetch more champagne from storage."

We both burst out laughing. We had so much fun and it without boys. I did not even think about him much at all.

Sammy ~"Did you read your messages?"

Becca ~"No. Don't tell me that asshole phoned."

Sammy ~"No it's from dads. They want us to choose the company name."

Becca ~"They say it should not be something outrages."

Sammy ~"I am so excited. What do you think?"

Eric ~"You girls starting your own company?"

Sammy ~"No we taking over dads."

Becca ~"They bringing it to the city."

Sammy ~"We becoming CEOs."

Becca ~"Miss CEO. We have a shift tonight, we must get ready to go and fetch my car."

We both head upstairs leaving Eric to make a pot of coffee.

Becca ~"So is this going to get serious?"

Sammy ~"No. I made sure he understands that it is sex only."

Becca ~"We going to Dynasti in day light, I hope we do not bump into him."

Sammy ~"His ass. He is the one that fucked up!"

Becca ~"Come Miss Ellis lets go."

We back on the way to pick up my car from Dynasti. I am nervous, I should not be but I am. I still have not processed this all, breaking up and running a company. I need a drink.

Eric ~"You girls coming in?"

Sammy ~"Yes we have a few hours to kill before work."

Eric ~"Why you working at Spangles if you going to run a company?"

Becca ~"Long story, something to do with a stupid plan, one too many stupid plans."

Eric ~"Sammy said you also have an ex as of three days ago?"

Becca ~"Just some fucked up potato head."

Eric ~"Do you call everyone a potato head?"

Becca ~"Urgh! No! Only if you deserve it."

Sammy ~"Come let's go inside. We can have a couple drinks while choosing a name for the company."

We sit down and order some drinks and something to eat. Sammy pulls out a pen and paper and start to write. The pen does not work. She heads up to the bar to ask for a pen to borrow and brings along our wine.

Sammy ~"So what do you think?"

Becca ~"If we do Ellis & James we sound like lawyers."

Sammy ~"What about Johno & Josh?"

Becca ~"Do you want me to punch you! And by the way it is your round."

Sammy ~"Shit."

I get up to the bar to get Sammy's punishment shooters.

Eric ~"So early?"

Becca ~"Sammy's fault."

Eric ~"Come up with that name yet?"

Becca ~"No but at this rate Sammy is making me drunk before work!"

Eric ~"What about surnames?"

Becca ~"Tried not going to work."

Eric ~"Names?"

Becca ~"Too creepy. Sammy even tried the exes that is why she is drinking this."

I leave the bar and turn to our table. I still hear Eric speak but I continue on.

..... At the bar.....

Josh ~"What are those two up to?"

Eric ~"Having wine and lunch while deciding on a company name."

Josh ~"What company?"

Eric ~"They are taking over their dads company."

Josh ~"I thought it was out in town?"

Eric ~"No it's moving to the city. I thought you don't know them?"

Josh ~"I don't."

Eric ~"Do you know she calls you potato head?"

Josh ~"Potato head? Says she that is a pumpkin."

Eric ~"I will look after them."

Josh ~"And Eric."

Eric ~"Yes boss."

Josh ~"Ask her what happened to the last guy that only wanted her for her money."

..... Sammy & Becca....

Sammy ~"Becca you have not spoken about him."

Becca ~"And I not going to either."

Sammy ~"You must."

Becca ~"No I am not."

Sammy ~"You can't leave it."

Becca ~"I can. He did."

Sammy ~"He was cross."

Becca ~"No I don't care."

Sammy ~"Phone him."

Becca ~"No not happening."

Sammy ~"Text him."

Becca ~"No he told me to leave him alone. Take some of your own advice too."

Sammy ~"I am not talking about it."

Becca ~"Why not?"

Sammy ~"I don't have to."

Becca ~"You have to."

Sammy ~"We are different."

Becca ~"How?"

Sammy ~"Mine was an asshole that just wanted my money."

Becca ~"And mine was an asshole too."

And with that your asshole crosses the room and heads for an office.

Becca ~"Fuck he looks good!"

Sammy ~"Shit when did he clean that sweet ass up."

Becca ~"Sammy!"

Sammy ~"Go talk to him."

Becca ~"No we are done. In any case he did not clean-up for me. He has moved on."

It's almost time for our shift, I look at Sammy.

Becca ~"Do you want to stay here? I will send Mike a message that something has come up."

Sammy ~"Are you staying for the hot asshole? Or you don't want to wait on people tonight?"

Becca ~"None. Dads are here in two days, we need to get this name right."

Sammy ~"If that is what you call watching Josh then that is what we doing."

Becca ~"Your round."

Sammy ~"Shit."

It looks like we are spending our day at Dynasti. Seeing him has taken my desire to be somewhere else away. I am just breaking my own heart. I know there is no future for us. It just comforts me to know he is near. I would give anything to feel his warm breath on my skin now. If I have only met him now, now when I am starting to be grown up.
