Chapter 19

Is it true that voice suddenly caused goosebumps in me?

I walked up to the car and yelled, "Sir Xander!" Despite being drenched, I entered the vehicle.

"Why are you in this location?"

He urged me to stop talking and then inquire as to the location of the hospital, "Shut up and just tell me where that freaking hospital is!" I didn't understand what he was talking about.

I didn't ask Mindy and simply let my mouth hang open because I didn't know where. What shall we now do? I had no business calling her!

I removed my phone from the sling bag and, thank God, all of the money inside the bag was watertight. But it's alright, finding the money is simple. I mean, money is not important right now, it's my daughter who's more important to me.

I took a big breath after Mindy texted to tell me the location of the hospital. I quickly informed Sir Xander that I felt quite cold a short while later. It's quite cold outside, and the car has air conditioning, and I'm still pretty wet.

He was looking at me from the mirror, I saw. Observe the paper bag on your right side and put that on.

I whispered softly to myself. "Gosh, why does he speaks like that."

I brought the paper to my side and scanned the contents. When I spotted a red casual dress with a red bra and red pants, my forehead creased.

Oh my God, what is going on with him? Did I believe Xander was heterosexual?

I instantly covered my mouth and said, "Pervert." I didn't intend to say that; it just sort of came out of my mouth.

I questioned, "Wait, don't tell me I'm going to get dressed right here," and he simply feigned laughter. As usual, there was no response, and the driving was solely focused on the road.

Sh*t! Is he for real? On this seat at the back?

Perhaps he is not a peep?

He is asexual, so relax, I just took a deep breath. He will never be attractive to both men and women, so even if you bet in front of him while you're nude, nobody will stand. I'm not sure why Sir Xander helped me get to the hospital now; it seems like he has no concern in the world.

Perhaps he is decent? Perhaps before passing judgment on him, I should get to know him better. After all, I have no idea what he has been through, what his issues are or anything else about him.

Keep in mind what mother Elyse mentioned about people like this needing to comprehend more because they are serious and dislike socializing. So refrain from passing judgment and do the same for your neighbor.

The force of its voice abruptly roused me: "What are you waiting for?! Can't you see that it's so wet inside my car!" Is it just because I'm nearby that it needs to raise its voice because it's so loud?

I set my sling bag to the side before taking off this t-shirt and my slacks, saying, "Yeah, just wait okay!" I only gave Sir Xander a glance to see that all that was left of his clothing was a bra and some underwear. His two eyes were still fixed on the road, and his face was still grave.

He doesn't give a damn; he doesn't even give me a glance. Yes, it's better. I'm sure there will be a lot of them and they'll always be nasty, in the event that someone else became my boss and was still a man. Similar to when mom's supervisor took me to work when dad was away and ill, she first made arrangements for us to eat since dad couldn't send money for mom and me.
