Andrea went upstairs to her room, and as she passed by Roderick’s door, she quickened her pace, but suddenly her wrist was grabbed by a force.
The next moment, his back hit the cold door panel, and Roderick’s breath, tinged with the sourness of red wine, hit him in the face.
He lunged forward, grabbed her by the back of her neck with one hand, and then sealed her trembling lips–with his own.
Andrea widened her eyes, struggling to taste the lingering smell of alcohol on his tongue.
“Let go…”
She grunted and tried to push his chest, but he grabbed her wrist and pressed it over her head.
Her teeth ground heavily against her lower lip.
Andrea bit down hard, the strong taste of blood exploding in her mouth, eliciting a low chuckle from deep within the other person’s chest.
“Got addicted to biting me?”
His hoarse voice brushed against her burning earlobes, his fingertips gently caressing her swollen lips.
Andrea took the opportunity to knee him in the stomach, and when he let go in pain, she slapped him hard on the side of his face.

An extra crispy sound.
Roderick turned his head slightly, and his cheek quickly turned red with the mark of a slap.
He licked away the blood at the corner of his mouth slowly, with a paranoid fire burning in his eyes.
“Does your hand hurt?”
“You crazy!”
Andrea backed up against the wall, breathing heavily.
“Just take care of yourself, and don’t forget, you’re getting married soon.”
Roderick approached again, trapping her in the corner.
He gazed down at her frightened pupils, his fingertips tracing along her collarbone.
“The engagement will be called off soon, Andie, just give me some more time, okay?”
“What’s it got to do with me?”
Andrea turned her face away, her heart beating so fast it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest.
“You didn’t get married, I still have to get married!”
“It’s okay if you get married, Andie, as long as you still want me, I’ll do anything, even be your secret lover.”
Roderick suddenly grabbed her hand and pressed it against his heart, through the shirt fabric, the pounding heartbeat making her palm

tingle.
His crimson eyes were filled with almost manic paranoia, and Andrea was chilled to the bone by this gaze.
She suddenly pulled her hand back.
“You’re crazy, we’re siblings.”
“Let me go crazy completely.”
Suddenly footsteps were heard outside the door, Andrea took the opportunity to push him away, frantically fixing her messy hair.
Roderick calmly adjusted his collar.
Scarlett was holding two cups of hot milk, watching Andrea come out of Roderick’s room, with a satisfied smile on her face.
“Knowing you guys are close, still chatting at night?”
She handed the milk to the two of them, “Here, have a cup of hot milk first, it helps with sleep.”
Andrea froze in place, but Roderick smoothly took the milk, his long fingers still carrying the lingering warmth of their earlier
entanglement.
Scarlett looked at the two of them.
“You guys chat, I’m going downstairs first.”
The footsteps faded away, but Andrea’s tense body didn’t dare to relax at all.
Roderick leaned against the wall, sipping his milk leisurely.
“Did you hear that, Andie?”

He whispered, “They all thought we were close and shouldn’t break up.”
Andrea was on guard.
“Because in their eyes, we were siblings.”
After saying that, she turned around, ran back into the room, and locked the door as if guarding against thieves.
