I glared up at him, but at the same time wondering why the hell my kidnapper was joking around with me as if we were friends.
Maybe he was just a loner and kidnapped me so he could have a friend…
« Who are you and why did you kidnap me ? » I whispered in exasperation.
« You'll find out soon enough. » Was all he said before standing up and offering me his hand.
Like I'm gonna trust him… Even though he's insanely hot… But still a psycho.
I sat up and put both hands on the floor and pushed myself up.
I suddenly winced as pain shot through my leg.
The doctors had said it would hurt if I did strenuous activities for at least the next two years, and I guessed being tackled by a crazy kidnapper counted as strenuous.
My kidnapper noticed this and quickly grabbed my arm as I felt my knees buckle.
« They really do speak the truth when they say I make the girls fall to their knees. » He smirked at me, not noticing my discomfort thankfully.
I hid my glare, gritting my teeth in annoyance. As if this day couldn't get any worse, my damn leg was being retarded and my kidnapper turned out to be a bipolar, friendly psycho.
I ripped my arm out of his grasp and stood up straight, putting all my weight on my right leg, my good leg.
« Anyways, before you rudely interrupted me by running off, » He gave me a pointed look, as if I were the bad guy here. « I was going to offer some answers to your many questions. » He grinned.
I just stared at him.
« Come inside ! » He said with a welcoming smile, putting a hand behind my back and leading me back to his apartment.
I knew I had no chance if I tried running again, because of my messed up leg, but I could always scream for help…
As if reading my thoughts, before I could even open my mouth, my kidnapper put a gag around my head in one fluid motion.
« Sorry dear, but you're a bit of an annoyance. We wouldn't want our friendly neighbors being disturbed now would we ? » He smiled.
My hands immediately went up to untie it but he swiftly secured my wrists in his hand, pinning them behind me.
I twisted my neck and fully glared at him, saying the dirtiest thing to him I could think of, but it came out sounding like « mmm mph mmm mmm mphmm ! »
He smiled and patted my head. « I knew you'd understand my little petunia. »
I didn't know whether to gag at the nickname or laugh.
I stepped through the kidnapper's door reluctantly, and looked around, surprised.
I had always thought kidnappers had very messy houses with things scattered everywhere and blueprints laid on the floor, guns lined up on the wall and maybe even some crack in the corner…
But this guy's place was even neater than my own home ! It was literally sparkling clean, not a trace of dust anywhere. It was a very cozy looking place, with soft cushions and couches and thick rugs everywhere.
Funny how a kidnapper lives here.
« My mother likes to torture me if I don't keep my place clean. » He said from behind.
I turned to see him standing there, with the smallest tinge of red on his cheeks.
Since when do kidnappers act like cute and normal ? I had to keep reminding myself he was a kidnapper, with all the laughing he was doing and the laid back attitude he'd display.
Wait, if his mom ordered him around then… does that mean she's also a kidnapper ? Does she know of her son's psychotic problems ?
« Come, let's have a seat ! » He exclaimed, walking us over to the couches.
The kidnapper's a gentleman now ? What's next, is he gonna bring out his pet unicorn and sing me a song with his magical harp ?
I rolled my eyes and went to undo the gag around me now since he stepped away and let go of my wrists.
But he quickly grabbed them once again as he stood in front of me and looked at me cautiously.
« If you take it off, you have to promise me you won't yell. There's no residents in this apartment but there are my boss' men. If they hear you screaming, they might come in and try to lock you up. Maybe you'd prefer that instead of my nice crib though so up to you, really. » He said.
My eyes widened as I took in his information. So there was no one around that could save me… And he had a boss !? That must mean this whole kidnapping was not just a random act of boredom committed by this hot weird stranger. It was way bigger and I had to find out more…
« Promise you won't scream like a maniac ? » He asked me again.
I looked at him and nodded my head slowly with wide eyes.
He sighed in relief then came around and undid the knot, letting the rag fall around my neck.
« WHO THE HELL ARE YOU ? HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME ? DOES YOUR MOM KNOW THAT HER SON IS A FREAKING KIDNAPPER ? DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND !? ARE YOU GONNA KILL ME !? WHY-« The questions came shooting out of my mouth as soon as I had the freedom of speech again.
I suddenly stopped, as I realized the second last question I had in my head came out of my mouth with way too much confidence for my liking. I had been wondering that ever since I saw him at the mall, but had convinced myself that a crazy psycho couldn't possibly have a girlfriend.
My cheeks flushed a bright red as I suddenly looked at the floor, trying to open it up with my mind and disappear into it.
I heard him chuckle after a really long awkward silence.
« You'll find all your answers to your questions soon, darling… But I can answer one of them for you. » He said, amusement flickering in his eyes.
I gulped as he took a few steps towards me.
Before he could take another step, I held out my hand to stop him, so now he was just an arms length away.
He ignored my attempts to push him away and leaned in close to my ear.
« I most certainly do not have a girlfriend, if you're interested, which I'm pretty sure you are. » He whispered.
I shivered slightly before I could stop myself, receiving a devilish smirk at my reaction.
« I can't blame you. I have all the girls falling at their-« he didn't get to finish that sentence, because the next thing I knew, my fist went flying into his face and he stumbled back a few steps, before falling to the ground.
Woah.
I just knocked out a man who's all muscle.
I stared down at his limp figure in shock, before feeling a searing pain in my fist.
