Chapter 10

He was dumbfounded by my dislike and I was really annoyed.

Pulled out his cell phone and ordered security to throw him out with it.

It's just that things have come to a head, and it's amazing that two troublemakers have come to my door in one day.

I'm going to have to do something about it.

Ordered my secretary to fabricate a few documents for me.

I started working on organizing the company's entire archives.

As it happens, I do have plans to leave the city, and I'm taking this opportunity.

Make up a lie.

After a few days, all the company's stuff was packed up and I left my secretary behind.

Purchased airfare alone to fly to another city.

Leaving the place where I have lived for many years.

Through the window, I took one last look out.

It's filled with so many memories of times I've been happy and miserable.

But now it's all going to end with me leaving.

I left my secretary with the task of announcing my death from stomach cancer.

And in fact, the last time I was in the hospital was actually just a preliminary check.

After that, the review that I had again, well the cancer was still benign.

And the city I'm going to happens to have specialists in treating stomach problems.

I'm sure everything will work out for the best.

My life will only get luckier when I'm free of these frustrated ghosts!

Later, I learned about Charles Torres from the secretary.

When he heard of my death, he became distraught, even going so far as to make a scene at the fake funeral hall I had prepared at great expense.

Just to see my body again with my own eyes.

And after all the money I've spent, how could I let him know as much as I wanted to?

A large group of hired actors surrounded the hearse and cried to keep Charles Torres out.

One even got so into the act that he ranted hysterically:

"Miss Patricia Nelson hated you while she lived, and you won't let her rest in peace when she dies!"

Charles Torres froze in place when he heard this.

He was silent for a long time, and finally hunched away with his head down.

I heard that later, Charles Torres and Alice Bruno had a big fight.

He finally takes the plunge and investigates Alice Bruno's illness and gets, naturally, faked results.

Charles Torres went red.

Begin a frenzy of suppressive retaliation against the Bruno family.

But Bruno family where is a vegetarian, the two families are not the same strength, for a moment, no one has benefited.

Instead, the company was hurt so badly that it was almost instantly carved up by smaller, long-coveted companies around it.

And the elders of both families had no room to stop them at all.

Decades, if not centuries, of family wealth go up in smoke in an instant, and they are so enraged that they banish Charles Torres and Alice Bruno from the family.

Hearing this news just makes me feel incredibly ridiculous.

The man is really just a bitch, as I told Charles Torres countless times back in the day.

Alice Bruno's illness was faked.

But every time the other man shed a tear, he trusted unconditionally.

Turn the sharp side toward me.

Now learning of my death, how good he once was to Alice Bruno is now tit for tat.

What a way to follow through on that saying that what you don't get is the best.

But all of this has nothing to do with me anymore.

In my first year in the city, I was actively admitted to the hospital to work with specialists.

The body is quickly rid of cancer cells.

And with the big account taken from Charles Torres.

I flew through the city and soon got to the point where I was a groundhog.

Nowadays, even if I just barge into the circles I used to be in, I won't be shouted down and mocked as a tearaway anymore.

Simply because, right now, I am, myself, the very capital itself.

And my future is even brighter.
