Vincent was arguing, "I cannot allow him to force her into this!" he exclaimed.
Then, a voice pierced the air, I recognized this voice, this was Christine, "Now you suddenly care about a girl you barely know? Where was this protective side of yours when you were forcing her into it?" she yelled.
If I even had a little bit of trust left in friendship, Willow's voice broke it "This is not about me, Christine!" She said. "We must carefully consider our next move," she advised.
"It's too late for that!" Christine stormed out of the forest, "I'm gonna have to do something on my own" She mumbled on her way out.
As Vincent switched on his flashlight, Willow's gaze fell upon me.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, panic evident in her voice as she approached me.
"Stay away from me!" I was terrified, trembling uncontrollably. My friends had deceived me, and it was traumatizing. I turned away and attempted to flee, but I stumbled.
"Careful!" Vincent rushed toward me, almost reaching me when the bushes began to shake.
Then, a powerful wolf emerged from behind the bush and growled at Vincent.
Vincent appeared frightened, attempting to approach me once more, but the wolf barked at him, causing him to tremble in fear.
In the blink of an eye, Vincent vanished like a lightening bolt. I spun around confused and terrified, trying to see where he went, but when I stopped, I found the wolf approaching me.
"Please, don't harm me!" I stood frozen, helplessly shaking.
But the wolf remained calm, walking toward me and licking the wounds on my thigh, the claw marks, causing a sharp pain.
Suddenly, my entire body began to burn.
I collapsed onto my knees, squirming and moaning in pain. Tears streamed down my face as I lost consciousness, only to awaken a minute later to the sight of a blurry figure with a wolf head carrying me.
Once again, I drifted off, and when I regained consciousness, I found myself being gently placed on my bed. I was in a state of half-awake, half-asleep, until finally, I fully woke up to the morning light.
The events of the previous night flooded back into my mind, and I could still feel his hand pressuring against my chest.
My heart raced as I threw off the comforter and glanced down at my torn clothes, only to find a lizard sitting on my chest, this was bigger than the last one.
Startled, I slapped it away, my voice catching in my throat. I watched as it fell to the ground and began crawling toward me. Fear overwhelmed me, causing me to step back until I reached the edge of my bed and tumbled over.
I quickly rolled over and saw the lizard sitting at the edge of the bed, its gaze fixed on me as if it were smiling.
Terrified, I heard my mother's voice calling out to me, asking if I was alright.
I turned my head toward the door and shouted, "Yes, I'm fine!" But when I looked back at the lizard, it was gone.
My first instinct was to shake my clothes and hair to make sure it's not on me.
Then I searched everywhere, but it was nowhere to be found. To shake off the trauma, I undressed and whispered to myself, "Don't say a word to mom. She's already so worried. Not about the lizard, not about last night..." My voice trailed off.
The realization of what had occurred the previous night hit me, and I locked the door before removing my torn clothes.
As I discarded them into the trashcan, I settled into the bathtub, giving in to my overwhelming emotions and allowing tears to flow freely.
I turned the shower on, hoping that the sound of the water would drown out my sobs.
"Why is this happening to me?" I trembled at just the thought of what could have happened if Vincent hadn't realized his actions.
I allowed myself to sink deeper into the tub, feeling the weight of my emotions pressing down on my chest.
"Perhaps death should claim me," I whispered, releasing my breath.
Suddenly, water rushed into my nose, but just before it was too late, I caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure approaching me, a silhouette of face entering the water, causing ripples on the water's surface.
With a forceful grip, he pulled me out of the tub, causing me to cough violently. I scanned the bathroom, but there was no one to be found.
However, a shadowy face emerged from the water and rushed toward me. "I won't let you die that easy!" he whispered, his words echoing throughout the room.
I turned the shower on, quickly cleansing myself, and before leaving, I cast one final glance at the tub. It was not filled with water anymore, but instead filled with blood.
I felt an invisible force pulling me toward the tub, my heart pounding with fear.
Before I knew it, my face was plunged into the water, as if some unseen hand was holding me down. Panic filled me, my mind racing as I struggled against the pressure.
Whispers filled my ears, sinister and chilling. "You will drown in the blood of your town folk if you don’t surrender soon," the voice hissed, the words echoing in my mind as I fought to pull my head out of the water.
Finally, with a desperate pull, I succeeded, gasping for air and realizing that I was just standing under the shower with my eyes closed. The tub was empty.
My heart still racing, I rushed out of the bathroom when my phone rang. It was Willow.
I had 25 missed calls. I picked up on the 26th ring. "I think it’s time we talked," she said, her voice serious like never before.
"Yeah, we better," I replied, mustering as much confidence as I could.
I needed answers, and I needed help. So first I headed to the police station. Sheriff Newton stood up as soon as he saw me, concern visible on his face.
Trying hard to contain my tears, I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Can I talk to you?" I asked, my voice trembling.
