Chapter 41: RESTLESS SITUATIONS.

"Hmm…" I replied. "I will see what I can do about it.' I murmured, and went on arranging the clothes inside the brown bag.

"And one day, you will find your true love.' she came up to me and hugged, I felt a second hand embarrassment and shifted away from her.

"Awwn, don't be shy, I'm your sister.' she laughed.

"I don't care if you are my sister, I wanna stop talking about it.' I rolled my eyes playfully and she just hit me on the shoulder and decided to change the subject.

"Do you have any idea why Oceana misbehaves strangely these days?"

I paused and looked at her with curiosity, wondering why she was asking me such a question.

"Umm…I don't know what you are talking about?'

"I don't know if it's just me or you, but she's acting so strange these days and I'm really worried about her though, she is the princess of the realm and should not be involved in any scandal with anyone, especially Gerard's Wife. Anyone is gonna bring up some kind of rumor that she is jealous of Emily."

I sighed. "I don't know why she is pissed at Emily, maybe she…she just doesn't like her or something.'

I knew why Oceana was angry with her, and Jane was right, she should learn how to control her anger and she's a princess. It still surprises me that Gerard is her mate.

To be honest, I just don't know how to feel about this secret, she's been hiding from me for weeks, I'm only relieved it was not Carmine but Gerard. I love Oceana like my sister. At times I get confused and I don't know what to do anymore. Siblings' relationship is a taboo and scorned, at the Mackenzie Clan and the consequences are dire is what scares me the most.

"But, she should hide it, not make it so obvious and the way she acts around her brothers, people are gonna think she's involved with them in some kind of act.' she stated.

"You are not serious, Jane, you know Oceana so well.' I grew up, trained on how to hide my expression from being suspicious.

She shrugged her shoulders. 'I'm not saying she is doing something bad, I'm just saying people can say anything and it can taint her reputation for the rest of her life if she is not careful.'

All of a sudden, we both heard a loud scream.

"What's going on?' Jane whispered.

We both met our gazes, hastily got up and ran to the direction we both heard the scream and ran to the room and what we saw made us gasp in fear with the maids screaming.

Oceana was hung in the air, all her body was white, her white hair was pure as snow, her brows, everything was white, she was like a ghost.

"Why is she hung in the air like that?" Her mother screamed, panicking, behind me as soon as she came to the room too.

If I wasn't here, I would say she was acting in a movie and why was she nearly naked and lying on her body which was floating on air.

My heart was beating so fast. "OCEANA.' I also yelled and tears welled up in my eyes, different thoughts crossed my mind, seeing my best friend looking like a dead zombie, made me gasp in fear, I covered my mouth to keep myself from screaming. I have never seen Oceana like this before, what was going on here?

Why was she in this state? Could it be that she was…dead? No, it can't be, Oceana can't be dead.

'What are you standing around here for, peasants, summon the Alpha King immediately.' Her mother screamed as her eyes filled with tears.

I was scared so I took a step back and ran out of the room to meet Gérard, he was the only one who know what went wrong, he was her mate after all.

He should know what is going on, standing there wouldn't solve the problem.

I ran as fast as I could and when I got to his chambers, I banged loudly on the door.

"Alpha Gerard.' I knew it was late, it was an offense to bang loudly on an Alpha's door, I could get punished for doing what I just did but I had to disturb him, his mate was in danger or else, he wouldn't know how severe the situation is.

The door opened and he was in his red robe and his expression wasn't good and his eyes were bright blue, it isn't the full moon yet, why did his eyes change their colors?

His eyes were glowing, his voice was quite deep and his white hair was scattered all over his face.

"Do you know the consequences of what you just did or have you forgotten the rules so soon, Jessie?"

"I'm sorry Alpha Gerard…"

He cut in. "Get out now, before I change my mind and commence a severe punishment for you.'

"Alpha Gerard...Oceana is….Oceana is….is…" I stuttered, I couldn't even put it in words.

"Calm down and tell me what's going on." His expression softened a little and calmly asked.

"Oceana transformed into something else, everyone is panicking, she's hung in the air…"

'Hung on air?' he frowned.

"Yes," I nodded. "Everyone was there, she looked like a ghost and…"

His eyes widened at my explanation, he didn't wait for me to finish but he seemed to know what I was talking about.

"I felt it in my instinct that something was wrong with Oceana, so when I rushed to her room, ignoring everyone, I rushed to call you as soon as I got there I was beyond shocked." I continued explaining. "She was…almost naked, floating on air and everything in her body was white, she looked so pale." After explaining, I noticed the intensity in his eyes, he brushed past me hastily and ran so fast, I went after him and we soon got to the room.

Oceana's mother kept sobbing, Gérard strolled past us and went to Oceana.

"Gérard, please step back, I tried getting close to her, but her power is too strong blocking me from forming any physical contact with her. Wait for your father to come back, so he can rescue her."

Gérard ignored everyone, stretched out his hands and got much closer to Oceana, my heart was on my chest and I hoped nothing happened to him too.

To our surprise, her body came to him by itself as he carried her in his arms, she glowed so brightly and went back to normal. Gérard stood still for a moment, then moved to her bed and laid her down on the bed, then covered her body with a blanket.

Luna and I ran towards Oceana who was sleeping and murmuring Gérard's name. Gérard went to her and closed her mouth muttering a few words.

Everyone burst in to know how Oceana was, their gazes were fixed on Gerard who slowly took his hands away from Oceana's lips and walked out of the room leaving everyone confused.

I ran after him. "Why are you leaving?' I asked, wasn't he supposed to wait till she woke up?

He turned to me and his form went back to normal, he smiled. "Don't tell Oceana what happened here, I wouldn't be able to handle it." He said and came close to me. "Promise me, you wouldn't tell her anything about this night."

"But…your mother will tell her."

"Leave that to me, I know what to do, don't interfere. I know she is your best friend and you don't keep things away from her but this time, please do so and leave the rest to me."

"Why are you planning to hide this away from her.' Carmine came out of nowhere and stood in front of Gérard. "I hope you are aware about what happened back there, you know the consequences.'

"Shut up, Carmine and let me do this in my way."

"Really." He ruffled through his hair in frustration which suddenly turned white in an instant. "The full moon is coming soon, tell me huh, how are you going to handle that, if you were not here do you think she will ever come down, don't you know that this could have her killed, don't act stubborn and solve this mess, she is beginning to transform because of the bond." He walked out and Gérard sighed, walking back to his chambers.

As Gerard walked back, not once did he ever turn his back to glance at us.

"Piece of shit, damn, this is so frustrating.' Carmine murmured and also turned his back on me, strolling away from his spot as if nothing had happened, was I the only in the dark, why was no one talking about what happened.

Why was everyone not coming straightforward to tell the truth about Oceana.

I know she is his mate but shouldn't he be trying and planning on how to bond her.

I guess this was why Oceana was pissed with him all these time, because he went against their bond and got married to an outsider, leaving Oceana all alone.

I know how she feels but wasn't there any other to fix this, instead of talking about this and prolonging this issue.

And he wants me to keep it a secret from her, he's doing all these to protect himself from the pressure of being her mate and I sort of felt sorry for him and Oceana.

How was I going to deal with this? I sighed and looked down at my feet, saw drops of blood on the floor, I sniffed it and traced the steps, it was Gerard's blood.

What in the world was going on?

Oceana's Pov.

I woke up early in the morning, ready for some tough training after a long time of being a lazy ass around. I needed to forget about my problems for a while, I didn't want to think of Gérard or anybody else, just me and my coach.

It was time to fix myself and not play, cry around, thinking of Gérard and the more I think about him, the more garbage I felt at his actions. Why doesn't he just want to understand that I'm in love with him and that together we could get through this and no one else will stop us? How can I just forget about my Alpha like breeze that never existed.

I felt a sword dicing at me, I dodged quickly but it slightly cut off some strands of my hair and at that moment my body vibrated non stop as I staggered and fell to the ground.

"You are losing focus, Mrs Oceana, why don't you take a rest for today." He suggested and stretched out his hand to pull me off the ground but I declined.

What was going on with me, ever since I woke up this morning, my body has been behaving so strangely and I can't even remember what happened last night. Whenever I try to think back on how I slept off and what occurred last night, my head begins to hurt so bad seeing flashbacks of unusual memories.

"Let's train again,' I managed to speak and get up from the floor but I don't know why I was getting weary and fell back to the ground, my hands were shivering and getting white.
