Chapter 178 Break in II
Collins staggered towards the men holding the rifles as if drunk. He wondered why he had agreed to this stupid stunt for Maverick.
“Constance!!!” He screamed. “Constance,” he screamed, going towards the gate. The men became alert.
“Hey!!!Who are you?” One of the men hollered at him, stopping him by the shoulder.
“How dare you ask me who I am in my own house!!!” He barked at the guards stumbling backwards.
“He is fucking wasted,” another guard said laughing.
“This is not your house. If you tell us your house number we can point it out for you.”
Collins looked with his side eyes to see that Maverick was already climbing the tree close to the fence, he tried to dodged the surveillance light and stepped on a weak branch. It snapped.
“What’s that sound?” The first guard asked.
Before they could turne towards the direction,
“Constance!!!! Call my wife right now!!!” Collins screamed louder, this time he lunged at them The guards caught him. “This is not your God damn house motherfucker.”
“Are you one of those men she invites when I’m not around,” he pulled the man by the ear. The other guard struggled to pull him away.
“Get off.. you piece of shit,”
“Constance come out here now , I’m going to kill your gigolo,”
Collins saw Maverick slide over the fence. He stopped abruptly. “What number is this again,” he asked suddenly.
“This is No.4” the guards said, breathing hard.
Collins pulled himself away, brushing his shirt. “I must have gotten the wrong house. Mine is No.12” he gave a smile that didn’t reach his eyes before walking away.
The guard frowned. “Is there a No.12 in this estate?” He asked the other one.
He shook his head. “He is probably high on something other than alcohol,” they went back to work.
Maverick landed directly on the courtyard, he swayed and caught his balance. His vision wasn’t steady because of the amount of alcohol he had consumed. But his memory was still as bright as the day.
He moved to the wall of the house.
The last time he was here he had taken note of the security cameras. Most importantly he knew her window. She was on the first floor.
The cameras rotated every thirty seconds. He moved only when it changed to the opposite direction. Until he reached the side her room was in.
Climbing the building wasn’t his problem but since her window was directly facing the front gates. The guards guarding inside the gate would easily spot him. That mother fucking preek deliberately put her there. Heaven was his and his alone. His jaw tightened.
It began to rain as if the Heavens were by his side. They understood he wanted his Heaven. Breaking down this place to get her was what he wanted to do but he didn’t want to make her cry anymore.
All the guards began leaving their post to go take shields from the rain. Maverick stayed glued on the wall camouflaging with the darkness.
The surveillance shone towards his legs, casting shadows to the ground and a guard stopped abruptly. “Who is there?”
Maverick cursed in his mind.
The guard stepped closer slowly.
Maverick braced himself for a fight. He was going to knock the guard out if he had too.
The static ran from the guard's security phone. “Copy. Copy. Back up needed. I spotted something unusual.”
The guard wanted to take another step.
“Uncle,” a voice called. The guard turned toward the voice to find Liam drenched in the rain with his pyjamas.
He was taken back. “What are you doing here?” He moved and picked the little boy.
“I was sleep walking and got lost.” Liam said not looking like what he just said. “Take me to my room,” he added.
The guard hesitated but nodded. His colleague would check on it. Liam stared deeply at the darkness.
Maverick let out his breath he didn’t know he was holding. Liam knew he was here. His son had seen him. Why did he help?
After Heavens fight with Fabian. She had come into her room and slammed the door shut and had stayed locked it.
She didn’t want to think about it. She wanted to sleep it off maybe tomorrow things would be different they would be changes she would
Figure out her life again or even leave entirely.
She drifted to sleep curled on the floor like a ball.
Maverick didn’t move her he laid down beside her watching her sleep. She looked so fucking fragile. She was his world, this hell and his Heaven. Her eyes fluttered open her hazel eyes met is brown eyes. They just stared.
“Mauve,” she called him.
“Hmm,” he answered
“I’m I dreaming?”
He moved closer to her wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her plush against him enough so they could share the same air.
“I can be in your dreams if you want me too,” he replied covering her lips with his. She didn’t fight it. She let him. It wasn't violent, it wasn’t forceful, it held unspoken words and feelings that he thought were not necessary to voice out. He hated not saying them from the beginning.
He pulled away. “I’m sorry for my actions today.. from before, for everything. I will never force you to do things you don’t want to do, I promise. Come back to me, don’t marry him.”
She was quiet for a long second. “You are married.”
“I will get a divorce. We will belong to eachother.” He told her, rubbing her waist in slow circles . “Hmmh?”
Heaven nodded. Maverick sighed in relief. Heaven moved and hovered over him. Her lips closed over his again. Mavericks hand wrapped around her waist tightly. His lips trailed down to the hook of her neck he sucked and nippled. Heaven moaned.
She returned to kiss his lips when she noticed his breathing had turned steady and he had fallen asleep but his grip didn’t loosen.
She fell asleep on him in that position.
Fabian couldn’t sleep. He held the ring tightly. He regretted the fight, his actions and the things he said about Liam. His jealousy had blinded him.
He didn't want their issue to stretch untill morning.
He left his room and walked towards the hallway leading to her room, he would return the ring back to her finger where it belongs.
