Chapter 20: Twenty
Astra's POV.
I didn't know why I made that call but I knew that many things were coming to change. It wasn't really too much about any other things but it was because of what we have been able to build throughout the entire years.
I kept looking and waiting for him to come to terms with the fact that, many things were not very ideal because it just put many people on the spot and made them a very sick kind of people
If I was able to get everybody on my side and it would have nothing to worry about even if it was just dealing with life however it came.
Nobody was going to be able to stress anything out or make me feel lesser than usual.
If my brother was not going to come see me then I need to take laws into my hands and go find the way the hell he has been hiding.
"Please I want to come with you in your car, but I don't want to go home yet because it's coming to stress me to physically think about my brother in a different light than what I have been made to believe." I winked.
He didn't even bother with me, instead he was on his own telling himself that he wanted to do many things he would have done a long time ago and just dealt with it and then I had to bring myself back to speed to wonder if I made a mistake or I made the right choice.
If my brother was trying to push me away then the only thing that I could have done is to make sure that he doesn't succeed, at some point he's going to get tired and if I was not lying to myself they were even a whole lot more that should have been discussed.
"So I feel like those who breach the best are going to get too close because of the problems highlighted but... Then we have to be very careful about what we put into perspective and how we wanted to end up as..." He argued.
There was absolutely no time where I looked back and didn't think that I had made a huge mistake or anything that was going to drag me down the spiral and I didn't even waste my time on it.
I had many things running through my mind and none of them had come to play like the way I had expected it to go because there were a lot of loopholes here and there that I was willing to take the risk of handling.
"I think you are going about this the wrong way and I mean this as respectfully as possible because you cannot be able to fight some fire with the ice inside of you. The only thing that you have got to do is to make sure that you've handled situations from various decisions and we've been able to get to a breaking point."
Vincent was trying to advise me but I was not ready to listen to anything he had to say because I knew that he was only trying to defend my brother according to his loyalty status.
In this line of business most people consider loyalty a very essential commodity but I did not really think it was especially when somebody was not faithful to me like they should
If I had been told at any given moment that a day was going to come where I would be doubting my brother's loyalty for me I would have told them that they were lying but here I was with the truth staring at me smack in the face.
Until I got another perspective I was going to hold on to what I already had as the truth and nobody would be able to push that away from my mind.
"I don't want you to get overwhelmed with the entire situation because I know how hard it can be for people to forgive others for doing them dirty and I don't..."
"Are you saying that my brother could have been here but he chose not to me because I refused to do whatever he wanted?" I challenged him, stopping him from going into a defending spree.
There was no need for me to continue with all of that, especially when there is nothing to be worried about and we just had to deal with it and just move on.
I also had an idea that I was willing to try out and until that it was completed there was no need for me to stress myself out again fighting over something that made absolutely no sense because that's some point I was going to have to relax
It wasn't because I didn't want the necessary comfort that came with knowing that everything was covered but because I was willing to take the risk of relaxing when it was truly time.
"I don't want to think about my brother in that light but you're pushing me to stop thinking that something was actually wrong and you and I know how Edmond can be."
It was a whole lot of process and I refused to step away from it. Instead I just closed my eyes and realized the value. If I was going to push harder then I needed to do something else I was going to blow his mind away.
It was not as if there was anything that could have been broken or not, instead they would have been some form of lapses.
I looked him in the eyes and drew him closer. "I need you to tell me the truth and that's the only way I can believe anything that you've been saying so far. Where is my brother and why do you think that I deserve to be lied to?" I said with so much annoyance.
Vincent grabbed my hands in return and I felt Sparks running through my entire body. "You need to be protected from the harsh world."
