Chapter 50: Decaf

POV: Jax

Beep... beep...beep

My alarm goes off waking me. I get up out of bed. Take a shower to wake me up. I'm going to sleep on the way there. I did not get enough sleep last night. I get dressed and now I have to wake up my mate that sleeps like the dead. Who knows how much sleep she actually got.

"Haven time to get up" I shake her not gently but gentle enough not to hurt her. She doesn't budge. "Haven get up or im throwing all the coffe away in the house!" I yell shaking some more. Her eyes pop open. She glares at me.

"Get up we have to go." I tell her. She does some sort of growl noise at me. Ash comes forward for a second growling back at her.

I go grab her a cup of coffee while she gets ready. I'm not taking coffee away but she will be limited to one cup of regular caffinated coffee a day. I will secretly switch the cups she drinks after that one with decaf. She'll never now the difference. I am not having the whole only one a day argument with her. She can have coffee flavor whatever all she wants but her caffeine will be limited.

I make her coffe just how she likes it and take it up to my grumpy little morning bear of a mate. "Here you go baby your coffee. I'm going to go get Cameron ready real quick." I give her the coffee.

Cameron is still asleep. I hate to wake him up but I have to. I change and feed him. I pack a bag for him and the diaper bag. I hope I packed enough for him. Im not sure how long they will be at the estate.

I buckle him in the car seat. This will be the first time I'll be putting him in this. He hasn't left the packhouse yet. I'm nervous about it.

"Hey I'm ready to go." Haven says behind me. "No go eat breakfast." I've already instructed the omegas downstairs to switch out the coffee for Haven. "OK. I'll see you down there then." She goes to eat. Good I need to watch her especially now. Her mood swings could be bad for her with her depression and stuff. I'd hate to think of the state this could put her in.

I have worries that I didn't with Catalina. I was mainly worried about Cat's diet more than anything else. With Haven its the emotional aspect of it too. I'm worried how her body will handle this pregnancy.

"Hey Ash how did you know Haven was pregnant before she was even showing signs?" I ask suddenly curious about it. "I could sense it. Our sense are heightened now. If you listen closely you will be able to hear the little pups heart beat."

I'll have to test that out later. I make my way downstairs with Cameron and his things. When I get down I'm faced with a very angry looking Haven. "You did this!" She holds the coffee cup out. How the hell did she figure it out? It taste the same.

"What exactly did I do?" I'm not admitting to anything. "You switched my Coffee. Admit it." She pokes me.

"I did no such thing are you sure it was switched? What does it taste like?" I ask trying to hold the laugh in. I love how she gets when she gets mad and arguing. Its so cute. "It's decaf. You can't trick Jax. Why? Is this some kind of prank. I know it was you."

I snort trying so hard to hold in the laughter. "No I did not. What makes you think it was me?" I ask. "You have that goofy face again." She points out. I can't hold in any longer and laugh. Oh my goddess she is just to cute.

"Your prank wasn't funny." She says in as serious tone as she can. "I know baby. I'm sorry. How did you know that it was switched though?" I ask her.

"It didn't taste right so I went to go make a new pot thinking someone used a different flavor and boy was I right. Next time you may want to try medium roast and not dark roast." If only she knew this wasn't a prank she would not have told me where I went wrong.

"Good to know." I tell her. "Did you eat?" She nods yes. Good girl. "Alright is everyone ready to head out?" I ask. I get a bunch of yeses.

I put Cameron and Haven in a car with Linda and Mom. I won't be riding with them. Court and Richard go with them just in case things don't go right. They will be going to the estate. No one is stopping unless it is a necessity.

Julian and a few of the other Alpha's informed me that they got invitations to the coronation for Caroline and Alpha Santos. Liam and I did not get one. I guess we're not invited. I hate to think of what this is doing to Liam. Caroline is his twin and they have a twin bond.

I will admit none of us saw this coming especially from Caroline of all people. The last time I spoke to dad he told me what Court told him about Caroline. About how she had manipulated people and how she'd done it for years. She apparently manipulated mom into doing what she had done to Haven. Told mom that dad would kill her if she claimed her fated.

Caroline has one wicked mind. Thats all ok now though because her reign ends today. I will claim my throne. The elders and council will back me. I hold all the loyalty and support. Caroline has none at least not from the people that matter the most.

I ride in a car with Liam, Penny and Ben. Ben drives. Liam and I get some more sleep. We were up most of the night. We all pull out of the pack. Some will approach the palace from the west and others the east. I have all directions covered. I just want all three of my babies home safe in my arms. Thats all that matters and why I'm doing all of this.
