Chapter 95 Who Is the Man Beside Her?
At the Johnson Group, Michael was seething as he stared at the photos.
He never thought he'd see the day when Olivia would be bold enough to wear a swimsuit and frolic on the beach with another man.
Even though the pictures were a bit blurry and taken from a distance, it was clear that she was walking side by side with someone, happily wading in the water and playing with a dog.
The man stood nearby while Bianca squatted on the ground, digging in the sand.
From the scene, it was evident that Olivia was relaxed and enjoying herself.
Michael's anger surged.
How could Olivia be so shameless?
Not only was she getting cozy with another man, but she also brought Bianca along as a cover.
How dare she?
Did she forget that she was a married woman?
"Olivia, who gave you the nerve?" Michael stood up in a fury, grabbed his coat, and stormed out of his office.
As soon as he stepped outside, he barked at Robert, "Get the car ready!"
Robert, seeing the fury on Michael's face, didn't dare ask any questions. He quickly nodded, "Yes, Mr. Johnson."
A few minutes later, a black sedan sped away from the Johnson Group, heading towards Golden Sands Bay.
Meanwhile, Olivia had returned to the villa with Bianca to change clothes.
As they came out, David was escorting someone in.
Andrew, now dressed in a clean black shirt and trousers, was lounging on the sofa, his long legs crossed, and his fingers tapping nonchalantly on the armrest.
"What's the story?" His eyes were cold as he looked at the person, his tone carrying an intimidating presence without a hint of anger.
The detective broke into a cold sweat instantly.
Even if he had the worst timing, he could tell that the man before him was no ordinary person.
The air of authority and nobility he exuded was even greater than Michael's.
David hesitated for a moment before answering truthfully, "He came to catch a cheater, involving Dr. Garcia and you..."
Andrew raised an eyebrow, but before he could respond, he heard footsteps behind him.
It was Olivia!
Earlier, she hadn't seen the person's face because of the sofa.
Now, as she walked over quickly, she naturally recognized the detective! "What are you doing here?"
Olivia was shocked. "If I remember correctly, I hired you?"
Why would he turn against her?
The detective, almost scared to death, confessed immediately upon seeing Olivia, "When I went to follow Mr. Johnson, he caught me. He threatened me, saying if I didn't comply, I'd never be able to stay in Emerald City...
Ms. Smith, I had no choice!
Our detective agency is just trying to make ends meet. How could we afford to offend the CEO of the Johnson Group?
So, please don't blame me!"
Olivia was furious.
How could she not blame him?
"You... you took my money, how could you break professional ethics and do something like this? Do you have any sense of professional integrity?" She angrily questioned.
The detective sighed, "What's professional integrity compared to survival?"
Olivia was trembling with anger at his shamelessness.
She never expected that the person she arranged would be turned against her by Michael.
David reminded her from the side, "Ms. Garcia, the photos he took this afternoon have already been sent to the other party's phone!"
Olivia was even more enraged.
Her divorce from Michael was still in progress, and now with this incident, who knew how Michael would make things difficult for her.
Just as this thought crossed her mind, Michael's call came through.
Olivia frowned, not intending to answer.
She knew exactly why Michael was calling.
It was nothing more than to accuse her!
She didn't care about herself.
Michael's distrust of her was nothing new.
But today, Andrew had been dragged into this mess.
He was kind enough to treat Bianca, and hadn't done anything inappropriate, yet his reputation might be tarnished because of her.
Olivia put the phone on silent, ignoring the detective, and turned to Andrew. "Mr. Hamilton, I'm really sorry for all the trouble today. I'll take Bianca and leave now. I'm worried someone might come and cause more problems, and I don't want to offend you."
Andrew, seeing her somber face, remained calm and indifferent. "Don't worry, no one can get in here, and no one can harm you and Bianca."
To him, this was a trivial matter.
The detective, Michael... he didn't take them seriously at all!
Olivia couldn't help but worry. Michael was strong-willed and domineering; if he was really stopped, he would definitely force his way in. If a conflict broke out, it could end badly!
But Andrew truly didn't care. He casually raised his hand and signaled to David, "Take him away and let the cops investigate that detective agency."
Detective agencies weren't exactly legal in the country.
And this one, with such low professional standards, willing to switch employers for money, must have done plenty of shady things.
David nodded and quickly had the bodyguards drag the detective away.
After they left, Andrew turned to Olivia, "Today's session with Bianca isn't over yet. Let's continue."
He was always thorough in his work and didn't like to leave things unfinished.
Olivia, hearing this, had no choice but to abandon her idea of leaving.
Michael arrived at Golden Sands Bay forty minutes later.
Following the address provided by the detective, he found the car blocked outside.
Michael, exuding cold fury, sat in the back seat and commanded, "Move the car!"
The bodyguard at the gate, his tone even colder, replied, "Beyond this point is private property. No outsiders are allowed. Please leave immediately."
Michael's brow furrowed deeply.
When did this place become private property?
Robert, in the front seat, checked and quickly reported, "Mr. Johnson, there is indeed a private seaside estate here, built a few years ago. It's worth a fortune. A place this large must have cost at least a billion dollars."
Michael's frown deepened.
If it was a private seaside estate, the owner must be someone significant. How did Olivia know this person?
The thought of Olivia possibly engaging in something inappropriate with another man inside made his chest burn with anger.
Without further hesitation, he ordered Robert, "Break in."
Robert, not daring to argue, immediately pressed the gas pedal, ready to ram the gate.
Seeing this, the bodyguard's eyes turned cold, and he pressed a button on his remote.
The next second, a row of spikes emerged from the ground.
Michael's car drove right over them, and the tires burst instantly.
Robert, startled, quickly hit the brakes.
The car came to a halt just short of the gate.
At that moment, a group of bodyguards emerged from the shadows, each one well-trained and imposing, blocking the car and shouting, "Breaking into private property? Are you looking for trouble?"
Michael's face darkened further.
In Emerald City, he was a person of high status, with no place off-limits to him.
When had he ever been treated like this?
But now, with the tires blown and the idea of breaking in abandoned, he had no choice but to give up.
Not to mention the formidable bodyguards.
He realized these men were no ordinary security!
In Emerald City, someone of significant status, who knew Olivia, and could deploy such guards... could it be Daniel?
