Chapter 36 Finally Meeting the Long-Awaited Person
After chatting with Joseph for a while, Olivia set up a time with him.
Joseph promised to send a car to pick her up.
Once everything was settled, Olivia didn't disturb Joseph any further and quickly left.
Outside the ward, she couldn't hide her excitement and anticipation.
She was finally going to meet that mysterious psychologist!
If she could successfully hire him, Bianca's condition would surely improve.
She was overjoyed and, without realizing it, looked up to see Daniel.
Daniel was leaning against the wall in the hallway, legs crossed casually. Despite his laid-back posture, his handsome face, tall stature, and natural charisma added an extra layer of charm and confidence.
It was clear Daniel was waiting for her.
Olivia didn't linger and immediately walked up to him, staring directly at him.
Daniel raised an eyebrow and said, "I know I'm handsome, but you don't have to stare at me like that."
Ignoring his narcissistic comment, Olivia smiled and said, "Thanks."
"Why are you thanking me?" Daniel feigned surprise, his expression puzzled.
Olivia saw right through his poor acting and said directly, "You came here specifically to help Joseph with his treatment, didn't you? You knew I was looking for that psychologist?"
Daniel's eyebrow raised even higher, and he fell silent.
That was as good as admitting it!
In fact, Daniel had known about Olivia's situation even before she approached him.
Emerald City wasn't that big, and they both moved in the same circles. Even without trying, he would hear bits and pieces of news.
For instance, she had been searching for a psychologist to treat Bianca for years.
Back then, he was just an outsider and chose to ignore it, so he didn't know much.
After their meeting at the café, he immediately had someone look into her situation.
That was when he learned that she hadn't been doing as well as he'd thought.
Michael was entangled with his first love outside, while she was alone, running around for Bianca's condition.
Since then, Daniel had been keeping an eye out for renowned psychologists for her.
But he didn't plan to reveal any of this. He simply shrugged and said nonchalantly, "To help you focus on your career, I had someone look into Bianca's condition. The psychologists you've found over the years haven't helped her, and I thought only that one could treat her.
Coincidentally, I have more connections than you, so I helped you get in touch…"
He spoke casually.
But Olivia's heart couldn't stay calm.
Someone like Joseph wasn't someone he could just contact easily.
Daniel was only saying this to keep her from feeling burdened!
She felt a warmth in her heart, followed by a touch of irony.
Her friend could go to such lengths for Bianca.
But Michael, Bianca's father, only gave half-hearted efforts.
He never took Harper's lack of professionalism seriously and always accused her of being unreasonable.
Olivia pushed those thoughts aside and sincerely thanked Daniel, "Thank you!"
Daniel didn't like her being so formal. He straightened up and changed the subject, "I overheard Mr. Miller. The soldiers you'll be treating this time are special forces with significant backgrounds. You need to be extra careful and avoid any mistakes!"
Although he trusted Olivia's medical skills, there was always a chance something could go wrong.
Olivia understood this and immediately assured him, "Don't worry, I'll be fully prepared!"
After chatting for a while, Daniel had to leave for work.
Olivia returned home.
As soon as she got home, Olivia opened her laptop and started researching possible injuries soldiers might have.
She took this treatment very seriously and was extremely thorough.
After several hours, she had listed various treatment plans on several sheets of paper.
Satisfied, Olivia stretched.
Now, everything was ready, just waiting for Joseph to send someone in three days!
During this time, she couldn't help but think about the psychologist.
If she really met him, how should she ask him to treat Bianca?
Someone at his level wouldn't be swayed by money.
She had no power or influence, and seemingly nothing to offer.
What if he refused? What would she do then?
Olivia was worried.
In the end, she decided to wait until she met him to ask.
She was willing to give anything she had!
As she was lost in thought, Bianca suddenly came running downstairs and called out sweetly, "Mommy."
Olivia snapped out of it and hugged her, playfully tapping her nose, "Why are you running so fast? What if you fall?"
Bianca snuggled against her, trying to use her cuteness to get away with it.
Olivia couldn't resist and asked with a smile, "What do you need, sweetie?"
Bianca immediately lifted her head and asked, "What does Daddy like me to draw?"
Olivia was taken aback and noticed Bianca had a sketchbook hidden behind her back.
The latest page had some colors but was abandoned halfway through!
Her heart ached, and she couldn't help but kiss Bianca, "Don't worry about him. Draw whatever you want, sweetheart."
But Bianca insisted, "Teacher said… I can learn…"
Olivia was a bit surprised.
She didn't expect Bianca to take the art teacher's words seriously.
Facing Bianca's gaze, Olivia couldn't refuse.
Finally, she found her tablet and searched for some basic drawing tutorials to show Bianca.
Bianca was thrilled and immediately engrossed in it.
Seeing this, Olivia didn't disturb her and continued with her own work.
Before she knew it, it was time for dinner.
Yara came to remind Olivia, "Ms. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, it's time to eat."
Olivia realized it was already that late.
She went to check on Bianca first and saw her still at the table, drawing.
Next to Bianca were three sheets of paper with recognizable shapes.
Fruits, flowers, cats…
She could tell what they were at a glance.
Olivia was surprised and immediately asked, "Bianca, did you draw these just now?"
Bianca nodded and pointed at the tablet screen.
Olivia glanced at it and was stunned.
The drawings in her hand matched the ones on the screen perfectly.
From the lines to the colors, it was like they were printed.
Bianca had copied the drawings?
Though it was basic, it was still challenging for a beginner.
She knew she couldn't draw this well herself.
But Bianca had done it effortlessly?
Olivia was shocked and had to admit the art teacher was right.
Bianca had an exceptional talent for drawing!
Just then, Michael came home from work.
As soon as he entered, he saw Olivia and Bianca in the living room.
He didn't greet them, just took off his coat and unbuttoned his shirt. His eyes only lingered on the drawing paper and paints on the table, his brow furrowing slightly.
Olivia noticed his expression, and her face turned cold. She placed the three drawings in front of him.
Then she said sarcastically, "Bianca copied these three drawings in just over two hours. Only you would think Bianca isn't good enough! In your mind, there's always arrogance and prejudice. You never see her strengths!"
Michael was stunned.
