Chapter 34 A secret unfolds
A bitter smile etched onto my face. My hands flew up to my waist in disbelief.
Like really? I should take him back after selling me and my daughter to the coldest Lycan king? Isn't that delusional?”
“ Felipe, are you serious?” My voice went sharper and colder and I locked gazes with him.
The aura was silent as though the world stopped spinning to watch the scene before them.
“ I am, Lynn. I've found out that Pius is my son. I'm here to take you back and my children!” As he said, Pius ran towards me.
“Mummy, is he my daddy?” His little voice was laced with excitement. However, I pulled him behind me and frowned at him.
“No he's not, now stay back.”
“ Mummy, are we going back to daddy? He's evil!” Barbie spoke from behind and as I looked back, I could see through the terror in her eyes.
“ Alpha Felipe, as you can see, the bought commodities doesn't want to return back to your pack. It shows how cruel you must have treated them,” Xander spoke with a bold voice.
“ Alpha, please. The Crescent Moon pack is under chaos and if they don't return evil would befall the werewolves and the Lycan clans.” Alpha Felipe’s beta chimed in, his voice laced with urgency.
“ Who cares about what happens to the werewolves? We all care about our clan. If the werewolves needs our help there are better way of asking for help.” Alexander spat hot.
“ For your information, Felipe, I'm not selling back these wolves to you and your time here is over. You should leave!” Xander growled practically, and a shutter of fear clicked inside of me.
Felilpe's hands fisted at both sides as though he wanted to shift. He growled louder, his veins visible and throbbing in his head. But his attempt to shift wasn't successful.
Xander smirked and pointed a finger of mockery at him. “It's all over the news, Felipe. Your wolf is dormant and has just reared its head first time in years. You're weak and gullible.”
“ Don't say such of my Alpha!” His Beta dared to shift. Felipe stopped him, for seeing the danger ahead.
Xander is a ruthless fighter and so his Beta, Alexander. Two of Felipe couldn't take down Alpha Xander not to talk of his Beta fighting Xander.
But I was shocked. Since when had Felipe lost his ability to shift? He was a mere human and had no control of his pack.
“ I'll leave, Xander. But then I need my family back. A whole pack of wolves would defeat your clan. Failing to return back my family would only bring war on between both clans.” Felipe threatened.
Xander’s brows shifted to his hairline as Felipe said. “Do you remember I put you in that position you are? Alpha Felipe?”
Felilpe's eyes grew wider and his shoulders shrugged at both sides. He took a deep breath and parted his lips.
He signalled to his Beta and they all entered into their cars and speed away. Just as they drove away, Xander ordered me to meet him in his room. I shot a quick glance at Alexander and he nodded slightly, gesturing me to go.
I paced towards his room with twisted guts and my inside out was plummeted.
He sat down on his chair and smoked a wrapped substance.
“ Your scoundrel mate is here to take you back,” He began, gesturing me to take a seat. “Do you still want him?”
I hummed a deep sigh and saw on the table, one that was relatively far from where he was sitting.
“ No! My heart craves for someone else!” I decided to say and his eyes flew up. He stubbed on the cigar in his hand and pushed into his chair in relaxation, smiling.
“ Who is the new guy?” He asked, his eyes filled with disgust.
I threw my head backwards. “ I think it's confidential, Alpha!”
His eyes darkened as I spoke. He stood up and stepped on the floor so intense that I felt the weight of his legs on the floor.
“ I owned you, Lynn. I bought you and your daughter,” His voice rang in my ears. He smirked as he noticed the flinch in my eyes. He knew how much I hated to be remembered as a bought commodity.
I took a deep sigh and pulled backwards.
“ You own my body definitely but not my hearts. I chose whom I choose to love just like you choose your mate, Angelina, a girl who's taking all over your mind and left you insane.” I didn't know where the strength came from I just had the boldness to speak to him this way.
His eyes bulged and lips pulsating in surprise. He raised one of his eyebrows and flinched at him. He never could have believed I knew so much about his mate.
“ How did you know about her? Have you found her?” He asked, leaning closer and I looked into his eyes, shaking my head at how insane he had become.
“ No, Alpha. I haven't.” I lied not just to prevent hurting him but to save myself from being torn apart. He loves his mate so freaking much, telling him at this point, when his blood was boiling over could lead to my death.
“ Then tell me how you come to know about her!” He said, much like an authority. I swallowed and looked away, but he grabbed my chin and stiffened it a bit.
I grunted in his grasp. “ Let me go, Alpha.” I muttered and trying pulling his arm apart.
“ Tell me how you get to know about her!” He yelled and pushed me to the wall. His veins bulged out.
I rolled my eyes and breathed profusely as I caught my breath.
“ You dare put the name of my mate in your tongue. You will forever be a history and your name will be forgotten.”
I closed my eyes and waited for my death to come but it didn't. Instead, a big hand yanked him off my body and said to him.
“ Your mate, Angelina is alive, in the human world.”
I gasped out and opened my eyes to see Alexander, his Beta standing in between us.
