The silence in the large living room was tense as everyone tried their best to avoid the burning gaze of Bernard..
Aldrin massaged his head when he noticed how relax Anita seemed to be when she was the one at fault, he knew this won't end well for the both of them...
"Do you regret getting married to me?"
Aldrin was caught off guard by the sudden blunt and unforeseen question she just asked him..
"What? No!"
Anita raised a brow "Then why are you staring at me that way?!"
Bernard's gaze narrowed at the two who were murmuring to each other in a hushed tone..
"You still dare to talk when this is all your fault Anita?!"
Patricia touched her husband's arm gently when she heard him yell, times like this made her worry about his health..
"Easy dear"
"it isn't entirely my fault father" Anita retorted.
Bernard sprang up to his feet ready to lash out at her when a voice broke in..
"I'm here"
Everyone diverted their attention to Damien who had an indifferent look on his face, he casually walked to the seat next to his mum that was already occupied by his dad..
Anita shot Aldrin a look and it took him only a minute to understand what they wanted him to do..
He moved to the next sofa with a sigh and watched how his son sat where he was sitting a second ago, sometimes he felt like Damien was the one married to his wife and not him..
Bernard pulled his gaze off Anita and rested it on Damien..
"Care to explain yourself Damien?! and what is this I'm hearing about you having a child?!"
Damien snapped his head to his mum who raised a finger to the back of her ear with an awkward smile on her lips..
He sighed and relaxed back on his seat, his mum had a little bit of problem when it came to keeping a secret or hiding her excitement..
"I have a son"
Hearing that from the horses mouth seemed to smash Bernard's pride and ego, how was he ever going to face his long time friend all because of the mistake his grandson made?
"Do you have any idea of what you've done?!"
"Yeah I know, I'm a father now and it's quite unfortunate that the alliance with the Brown's will be affected by this".
Bernard pointed a finger at Damien to see him rise up to his feet.
"What do you mean by that?!"
Damien inserted both hands into his pocket, he stared straight into his grand father's eyes with a determined expression..
"We are calling this marriage off.."
He announced to see everyone's shocked expression of course except his mum who was overjoyed, this decision he made could cost them their reputation and one thing the old man cared about the most was the reputation of the Sterlings!
Bernard's face darkened, he knew once Damien had made his mind up on something then it was final but this time he won't let that happen..
"I don't accept! you'll get married to Rihanna and delete every other lady off your mind!"
"But I agree to my son's decision, he won't get married to Rihanna, he's not a kid who you impose those rights on!"
Anita lasted out irritably at the old man and almost immediately Alexa stood up, she had a scarf tied around her head which was a bit of..
"Mum! will you just stop trying to defend him? the lady who you're pushing him to is trouble, I and Rihanna had to cut our hair because she poured paint all over us...
"Extend my apologies to the Browns" Damien murmured and walked away from the room, even though a part of him was hurt about breaking up with Rihanna..
He still couldn't forget the promise he made to Olivia six years ago, he promised to take responsibility for his actions and that's exactly what he's going to do..
"Damien! get back here!"
Bernard called after Damien which fell on deaf ears as the latter didn't stop for a second till he was out of sight...

The next morning...
Olivia rubbed her eyes as she came down from the stairs, her lips turned into a smile when a strong aroma warft through her nose..
"Oh dear bestie, what am I ever going to do or be without you?"
Bianca chuckled and pulled out a seat for her, she was glad that Olivia was back to her usual bubbly sef unlike yesterday when she sulked all through..
"I made pancakes"
Olivia smiled at the table greedily, she was about to take a bite from the pancakes when she noticed the unusual quietness in the house..
"umm where is Kelvin and Kiara?"
Bianca raised her head with a small smile, she took a sit opposite Olivia..
"Oh the school bus was here a while ago"
The small smile on Olivia's face dimmed a bit, she squinted her gaze at Bianca trying to find out if she was joking or telling the truth..
Bianca raised a brow "What?"
Olivia sat up on her seat when she noticed the die hard look of seriousness on Bianca's face..
"What? Bianca you know Kelvin and Kiara's tuition doesn't cover the school bus....
She sprang up to her feet and dashed back up to her room, she found her phone on the bed and picked it up..
She heard the door behind her close as Bianca came in view, she also had a look of worry on her face..
"What is wrong Olivia? you scared me for a second out there"
Olivia turned her back against Bianca and raised the phone to her ear the moment the call went through..
"Hi Mrs Penelope, umm.. this is Kelvin's mum.. Kelvin Parker, the school bus picked him and Kiara up a while ago and I wanted to confirm if they are with you"
At the other end, Mrs Penelope turned back to the kids who were chattering away happily on the moving bus..
"No ma'am he's not here, we didn't show up at your house since Kelvin and Kiara's fees doesn't cover up the school bus ride"
"Alright"
Olivia looked towards Bianca with her phone still placed to her ear in shock..
"What happened?"
"Kelvin and Kiara are not on the bus and his teacher just told me that a bus was never sent here to pick them up!"
Bianca's eyes rounded in shock "What?!"
In the next minute Olivia bolted out of the room seething in anger..

Bernard looked up to the two man cladded in black suit in front of him..
"How come there are two kids?"
"Old master, the lady brought two kids to the bus and we had to bring them both to avoid suspicion"
Bernard dismissed them, after which they left, his gaze darted to the two children who were roaming around the living room playing carefree without worrying about their new environment..
Anita raised her hand to her mouth to block a yawn, it was evident that she was just getting off bed, she was still a bit sleepy but she had to get out of bed to fill her empty stomach..
The left over sleep vanished completely from her eyes when two little figures crashed into her giggling softly..
She stared down at them and at the same time they raised their face to her with a toothy smile..
"Hello"
They both waved at her with wide grins, she blinked her eyes several times in shock..
And to their amazement she dashed off back to the stairs..
"Honey! come quickly I think Damien and Alexa has shrunk into little kids!"
Reality suddenly hit her after she realized what she just said, she stopped on her tracks and turned to the two who were now staring at her strangely..
Anita felt a chilly gaze on her from across the room and when she turned, she met with Bernard's burning gaze..
Aldrin hurried down when he heard his wife's loud screams earlier on..
He came to stand by her and was left speechless when his gaze fell upon the kids who were giving him a smile..
However, his gaze rested on the little boy who had a striking resemblance to Damien which cannot be ignored or denied..
"Who brought them here? and wasn't it only one kid Damien mentioned to have? how come there are two of them? "
Anita took a brave stance in front of the old man who was sitted before her..
"You brought them here didn't you? I hope it's not what I'm thinking that you're planning to do"
Aldrin also stood next to his wife, he also wanted to know what his dad was planning to do with the kids he brought into their home..
Kiara nudged Kelvin towards Alexa who just entered with her eyes glued on her phone, her other hand held four shopping bags..
Wasn't it a little bit early to shop for clothes at the mall?
Kelvin instantly recognized her, she was the lady that knocked his mum down with her flashy car and left without apologizing!..
He leaned to Kiara's ears and whispered a few words to her..
And in the next second they were running in full speed to Alexa..
Unbeknownst to the ignorant lady of what their cute motives were, she was dumbfounded when her shopping bags and phone flew up and fell harshly on the ground..
After their successful attempt they gave a high-five to each other with a smile..
Alexa's face darkened as she rested her eyes on them..
