Chapter 27

****BEFORE NYRA WAS CAPTURED****

Xoryn was happy that Alexanvian had actually bought her lie and to make things better he was hanging out with her which made her out of the drama. She was walking around the palace with Alexanvian.

They were having small chats and she couldn't help but wonder why the great king of the vampire kingdom was so interested in knowing her. She had thought that by now he would have killed her but yet he kept her alive.

He was having fun talking to her and everything she had said about herself was fascinating. Xoryn was careful not to reveal anything about her pack fearing that it might be a trap for him to get to know more about her kingdom so that he can invade them.

" Would you like to see my library?" He asked her and she immediately nodded. She was one who loved books so much and was ready to read something. She was feeling bored in the palace anyways and reading a book would help get her boredom fixed.

She got into the library and was so shocked just by the look of it. It was so big that it looked like an actual library,it was even bigger than the one she had at home. She kept looking around not noticing that Alexanvian was looking at her the entire time until she caught a glimpse of his eyes and cleared her throat to get rid of the awkwardness.

" I'm sorry about that," he apologized. He was really being a gentleman, acting nice but yet she knew that she couldn't trust him fearing that it may all be a trap to get close to her and tell him secrets but she wasn't that type who was easily fooled.

" Your library is amazing,I love it" she complimented and smiled at him. Alexanvian noticed that it was the first time that he had seen her genuinely smile and just that smile had an effect on him,the type of effect that he didn't like and wanted to get rid off.

" You can go around,come whenever you want ,read any books you like. At least this place won't look empty with no soul anymore," he said casually.

" You don't come here often?" She asked to go to one of the shelves and picked a book admiring it and checking the title.

" Not often,I don't come here at all,I don't really like reading ,I never fancied it" he told her . She wanted to laugh at him ,she couldn't believe that he was a whole king and yet he had never read a book like how was he going to know about his kingdom.

" That's too bad,reading books is actually nice and you should try it " she told him but he just laughed at her sentence. He never liked reading and the last time he came to the library was to know more about his species so he could use it against her kind.

" I'll pass," he said . She went to another shelf and picked a book. Alexanvian kept watching her movements with intense gaze and it was obvious that she didn't notice at all,she was so lost in what she was doing that she didn't know that he was looking at her fascinating over her body which was good or else she would call him a creep.

He began to admire her flawless skin and peaceful nature,he was actually admiring a girl for the first time. He had admired other girls before but the way he admired Xoryn was in a different way.

" I never got your name," he suddenly said out of the blue. Xoryn lifted her head up to look at him,she had never even thought about introduction and the thought of it made her feel weird as if she was getting all buddy buddy with the enemy but she decided to tell him anyways at least if she got close to him it might benefit her.

" I'm Xoryn," she told him. He obviously likes the name.

" I'm Alexanvian but you can call me Alex, '' he told her. He was surprised with himself and how he was getting so friendly with her but didn't want to ruin things.

She went back to her book which captivated her and something for her attention. It was something that she had never seen. Even after reading the entire book of the mansion she had never seen it in any book and wondered if it was fiction. She checked the book again and discovered that it was a real life story.

Alexanvian noticed that something was wrong especially with the way she was checking the book and decided to ask her.

" Are you good?" He asked her and she showed him the book. He was never one who liked to read but when she handed him the book he knew that he just had to read it.

He read it and was shocked to see what was in it. His ancestors actually fought together with the werewolves in a battle .

" Is this for real?" He asked again, checking it. He wasn't sure whether to believe it

" Like werewolves and vampires working together ?It's hard to believe," she told him. Even though he was finding it hard to believe but decided that he was going to ask one of the elders about it .

" I'll ask one of the elders about it,maybe we can go together. How about you pick a date?" He asked. He was acting somehow and knew that his behavior was changing.

" Sure,mind if I keep the book?" She asked and he handed her the book.

He was still stunned by his discovery but didn't want to make any assumptions until he had met with one of the elders to confirm the details.

" Your majesty," a guard called . He was really angry and was literally ready to tear him apart.

" What do you want?" He asked. His tone was changed and that scared the guard.

" We caught a werewolf" he told him. Both he and xoryn's expression changed.
