Chapter 16: Should I Apologize?
Jayden's POV.
I was still in disbelief, and while I was looking at the determination on her face, I didn't expect that she would concede and agree to sleep with me, after what I did to her.
I should be happy, right?" But why is it that what I was feeling was so far from being happy? Because the truth is, the guilt was eating me up from the inside.
I felt guilty when I saw how terrified she was, and the betrayal that she might have felt when she realized that I had just fooled her.
She must be shaking in fear when she thinks that she is in real danger when all along I planned all of this.
This is exactly how I wanted it to be, but it ends up making her finally agree to what I wanted.
Is this not what I desired?
I wanted to apologize to her and tell her that she didn't have to do this, but instead, I nodded my head in response.
I know what I did to her was wrong, especially because it caused so much fear in Gabby, but I don't know what to think anymore.
"Allow me a day to prepare," she requested.
I just agreed to what she wanted, it didn't take long, and she immediately went straight to his room. I wanted to call her back, but I couldn't.
After washing the dishes, I immediately met the people who brought the supplies, and the people who helped me fool Gabby into thinking she was in danger.
"Good evening, sir; we've already stocked all your supplies in the pantry," the leader of the three said, as soon as he saw me.
"Good, you can leave and just wait for my call, and be sure that no one should know my whereabouts unless I tell you so," I said.
After he stated, "You can count on us," they finally left.
I was left in front of the house, trying to find an answer to the feeling that was unfamiliar to me and that kept on bugging me ever since I met Gabby.
I am known in the business world as someone ruthless, anyone who messes with me would end up regretting their decision because I always made sure to pay them tenfold for whatever wrongdoings they did to me, and I didn't care whether I hurt them or caused them harm.
I thought I didn't care about anyone's feelings until I met Gabby, and when I thought that I really hurt Gabby, I felt like something was crushing my heart.
Because I had never experienced these feelings before, I had no idea how to deal with them, and they were only triggered by Gabby's presence in my life.
Gabby is so different from all the women I met and associated with, she's not like the others, who get easily intimidated by me.
She's not afraid to speak her mind, compared to the other women, who will just do whatever I want from them.
I had been so used to having women throw themselves at me and fight to get my attention.
Not to brag, but aside from being wealthy, behind Jayden Andrada's name is his good looks, which women can't seem to get enough of.
I dated models, famous actresses, fashionable ladies, and women who were superior to a simple girl like Gabby, yet even with the glitz and the cosmetics, I would still prefer the innocent-looking Gabby.
"She's like a breath of fresh air; she's the type of woman you wanted to see after a stressful day at work, the kind of girl you would want to welcome you, and ask you how your day was, just like a...
"A wife?" I was stunned when those words suddenly popped into my head.
I couldn't believe that I would be thinking such things, which are impossible to happen, and what I was feeling for her was nothing more than pure lust, once I bedded her, I am certain that any desire I had for her would vanish along with it.
Even if my heart seemed to be telling me otherwise, I tried to continue to convince myself that all I felt for Gabby was lust. "Right, it's just lust," I muttered. "It's just lust," I added.
I decided to avoid Gabby the following day, especially since I didn't know how to act around her.
I knew I had decided to do what I planned for her, but still, I didn't know what was stopping me from making claims against her.
The next morning, I awoke early to prepare breakfast, and as soon as I was finished, I ate as quickly as possible and returned to my room to avoid seeing Gaby.
I couldn't stay calm in my room, so I would either lie down or stand to hear Gabby moving around outside.
I wasn't worried that she could escape this island without me, my planning was foolproof.
I have no idea how many times I stood up and then lay down in the room, but before I realized it, it was already night, which meant that the time Gabby requested had ended.
"The hell!" I silently muttered, when I couldn't stand the pressure, so I got out of bed and was ready to tell Gabby that she didn't need to surrender herself to me tonight, or any other night for that matter, but when I opened the door, I was surprised to see her standing outside my door.
The sight of her unruly hair made my blood boil with desire, but it was her moist lips that caught my attention the most as if inviting me to taste.
I couldn't resist taking a peek at her breasts when she presented such a captivating appearance.
She was showing me a glimpse of what I had been yearning for because she was wearing a polo shirt that had a few buttons undone on it.
Because of the temptation in front of me, I have to swallow my saliva as I try to fight the urge that is slowly taking over my whole body.
"You don't have to..."
I was about to tell her that she didn't have to sleep with me, but her finger touched my lips and halted me from speaking.
"You don't have to say anything, Jayden; I'm all yours for the night."
She whispered those words with such seduction, and to demonstrate how much she cared, she abruptly captured my lips and kissed me with such intensity that it brought an end to the reason that I had in me.
