Chapter 57 I Love You
Thyago couldn't help but smile when he woke up another morning seeing the face of his beautiful wife. Bea's head is upon his chest while his arms are wrapped around her body. He let his hand touch her soft hair as his eyes stared dreamily at the ceiling. Last night was amazing. They made love all night long and he must have tired her so much for she was still sleeping so soundly until now.
This is life...
Waking up each and every morning of my life with her lying in my bed. Her pretty head was on my chest feeling the beat of my heart as my arms were wrapped around her never wanting to let her go. I'm looking forward to waking up like this every day until our old days...
He stayed that way for a long moment not wanting to wake her up. Holding her this way and smelling her this good was such an amazing feeling. Her warm breath fanned his chest as it sent him a tickling feeling and her arm was wrapped around his abdomen while she sleeps innocently like an angel.
This is my definition of paradise. I could stay here all day long lying this way with her and I would be completely fine. With her, I feel contented for I wish nothing else...
When he felt her head move a bit, that suddenly stopped him from contemplation. He looked at her face and saw her eyes now open and awake. A warm and happy smile curved his lips when she looked at him innocently. Finally, his beautiful wife had awakened.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty..." He greeted. She smiled at him as a response and then his world brighten up with that simple smile.
"I love you..." He couldn't help to say emotionally.
Her eyes widen in surprise. She got stunned for a moment then her face turned dark and dreary. Is he not mistaken, a tinge of anger crossed through those hazel eyes of her for a moment. But why? Is she not like it when he said he love her? Perhaps she thinks he's lying.
"I said I love you wifey..." He repeated then gently caressed her cheek.
It's not like I wanna hear her say she loves me too but the fact that she was silent and mad about that something I said suddenly scare the hell out of me! At least I wanna see that she appreciates it not on the other way around.
He swear he saw anger and pain cross her eyes and he didn't know why? Doesn't she like what he said? What went wrong this time? One thing he noticed even before the first time he declared his love for her, she turned stiff and cold just like now. There's this doubt and hesitation in her eyes and he wanna know why? Why is she acting this way?
"Enough with the lies Thyago..." He heard her say bitterly.
"What do you mean?" He retorted with forehead knotted.
She think he was lying? Why would he lie about that something important? Damn! He never felt so sure about his feelings just the way he felt towards her. In fact, he had been loving her for a long time, that's why he make things happen so their paths will cross. He manipulates things to the point of blackmailing her to marry him just to have her completely. See how he's so desperate to have her and then she'll just doubt his love for her? What the heck! Did he make wrong actions that made her doubt his feelings for her? Damn, he wanna know what she was thinking.
"Stop saying you love me when you don't mean it. Come on, let's not pretend anymore." She bitterly stated.
"I don't understand. I love you and that's what I feel. Why would I lie about this?" He confronted.
"You and I both knew this was just lust. So please stop saying words of love that will tend to mislead me from false beliefs and hopes."
Her expression is full of pain and different emotions he cannot name. Her eyes are teary and he knew any moment those tears will about to fall. Oh God, he hates himself for making her cry.
"You think I don't mean it? You think it was just lust I feel? Fuck, No! I'm not a sex starve pervert who is only up to your body, dammit!" He inhaled deeply and frustratedly cursed before he continued.
"Fuck! I can't believe you thought of me that way! I didn't marry you and decided to give you my name for that stupid purpose, Bea. I love you, and when I said it, I mean it!"
He saw her stoop down her head and went silent. She doesn't believe him that's what it shows through her actions. That is what her sudden silence means.
"Yes, I remember telling you that my desire to monopolize you was very strong but that was not just it, baby. Of course, there was something more deeper reason beyond it. I said it because you've been avoiding me and I'm going crazy over you hating me. I stole you from that bastard ex-boyfriend of yours and blackmailed you to marry me because I wanna be with you forever and that's because I love you. I wanna share my life with you, build a family with you, and grow old with you. This isn't about sex and lust, Bea. We both know in dew time, attraction and sexual arousal will vanish but I know this feeling I feel for you will never fade away. I love you and I mean it." He said it in an almost frustrated and pleading way.
I can't believe she thought I was only up to her body! I couldn't take that she thought of me as sex starve maniac!!! Is this the reason why she suddenly turned cold and stiff? Damn, this is unfair! What would I have to do to make her believe me? I love her so much but it seems so hard for her to believe me. What stops her to do so?
He pulled out a frustrated sigh and decided to reach for her hand. She was still silent as her face stoop down.
"Do you believe me now, baby?" He said it in a gentle tone this time as if he was pleading to believe him.
He gently cupped her face and made her look straight into his eyes hoping she could see his honesty and sincerity. She stare back but he could still see the hesitations in her eyes.
Damn, I don't know what to do anymore just so she would believe me. I know I become selfish and I did a lot of manipulations just to have her but can't she feel the way I care and look at her how much I deeply adore and love her so much?
"Okay, here's the thing. I want us to start from the very beginning. Forget all the bad things I've done in the past. Forget that I hurt you and how jerk I was way back in our teenage days. Forget that I blackmailed and manipulated you to marry me. Believe me or not but I hate myself for being a jerk and hated myself more because you tend to think of me as a sex starve maniac! Please let's forget about the past and whatever is behind us. Tell me what I have to do to make you forgive me because I can't stand you being so cold and stiff to me anymore. You want me to kneel down and beg you? I will..." He suddenly let go of her and left the bed. He was about to kneel down when she got alarmed and stopped him.
"Stop it, Thyago! You don't have to do that!" She said in a haste looking so uneasy.
"I want us to work things out because I want this marriage to work. I want this to last just like the vows we promised. Please give me a chance. Forgive me, Bea. Let's give this marriage a try. For our baby's sake, for our future, and our soon-to-be family." He pleaded.
Bea looked straight into his eyes may be trying to search sincerity for all the things he had said. Doubt, fear, hesitations, and different kinds of emotions were written in her eyes. Well, he couldn't blame her, he hurt her in the past and did things that make her hate him. He could only wish she would tell him all about her doubts and fears so they could talk about it and settle it at the same time. She remained that way for quite a long moment before she decided to speak and tell him her decision.
"Okay, let's start over. Let's forget the past. Let's make this marriage work." She answered. A warm smile was now painted on her luscious lips.
With that, he immediately grabbed her for a long and passionate kiss. He gave everything into that kiss. He showed her how thankful he was for the chance she gave him. He showed her how much he love her and promised undying love and loyalty all wrapped into that kiss wanting to show her she will never regret giving him this chance. He got surprised when she suddenly kissed him back with equal passion and fervor. He deepened the kiss and tasted every corner of her mouth to show how much he love her. He embraced her tightly after murmuring how grateful he was for this chance.
