"Where did you find this?" Lance asked helplessly as he looked at the two children.
The two children seemed not to notice his change in expression and excitedly said, "This is a secret guide we discussed with Godmother last night. With this guide, Daddy can get closer to Mommy."
"Daddy, you have to follow what's written here. Otherwise, if you're not good at making girls happy, what if Mommy thinks you're not romantic someday?" Gregory also looked over with concern.
Seeing this, Lance glanced at Chloe and couldn't decide whether to be angry or amused. However, he understood the children's feelings and affectionately patted their shoulders, smiling, "Don't worry, Mommy and I will be fine. I'll take this, but just this once. You can't learn random things from Godmother in the future, or Mommy will deal with you."
"We understand." The two children responded obediently.
Soon, they arrived at school. Lance watched them enter the school gates before instructing Xavier to drive to the company.
On the way, he noticed the children's homework notebook left in the car and curiously looked through it. It contained many date ideas and interaction details, all very well summarized, including watching movies, going to concerts, candlelight dinners, and giving flowers. Lance read it and had some thoughts.
Around noon, Deanna finally woke up. Seeing that she was alone in the room, she sighed with relief, remembering the craziness of the previous night. After a simple wash, she went downstairs.
Old Ashley was watching TV in the living room. Seeing her come down, she greeted with a smile, "You're up."
Deanna nodded lightly and looked around but didn't see the person she wanted to see. Old Ashley noticed her actions and teased, "Don't look for him. Mr. Mercer went to the company, but he sent a bouquet of flowers just now. I had them placed on the coffee table. You can decide what to do with them."
Hearing this, Deanna looked at the bright roses on the coffee table, feeling indescribable sweetness in her heart. "I'll find a vase to put them in." She said, happily carrying the bouquet away. Old Ashley watched her back and shook her head with a smile.
Soon, Deanna found a glass vase and arranged the flowers in it. Admiring her work, she couldn't help but call Lance. The call was quickly connected, and a gentle voice came through, "You're awake."
"Yes, thank you for the flowers. I love them." Deanna said with a sweet smile.
Hearing this, Lance's voice became even softer and more affectionate, "I'm glad you like them."
The two of them chatted for a while before hanging up. Over the next two days, Lance sent Deanna various small gifts, some valuable, some not. They also started taking walks and dating like a normal couple, growing closer each day. Old Ashley and the two children were delighted to see this.
The weekend came, and early in the morning, Lance coaxed Deanna to get up. "Isn't today a rest day? Why are you up so early? Don't you want to sleep a bit more?" Deanna asked, rubbing her eyes.
Lance gently stroked her cheek and gave her a light kiss, his voice hoarse, "Do you really want me to sleep a bit more?" Deanna stiffened at his words. After spending so much time together, she realized this man had insatiable desires.
"No need to sleep, let's get up." Blushing, Deanna pushed him away and escaped into the bathroom, fearing that if she was too slow, she wouldn't be able to get out of bed today.
About half an hour later, they finished washing up and left the room. The children were still asleep, and only Old Ashley, a light sleeper, was in the living room reading a newspaper. Seeing them come down, she greeted with a smile, "Up so early, are you going out today?"
Before Deanna could answer, Lance spoke first. "Yes, Grandma. Today, there's nothing much to do, so I'm planning to take Deanna out for the day."
"Well then, have a good time." Old Ashley supported them with a smile. Deanna felt a bit embarrassed under her gaze but said nothing. Before leaving, she couldn't help but ask, "Are we really not taking Gregory and Chloe?"
"Not today. It's a rare chance for us to have time alone." Lance said, pulling Deanna into his arms. Deanna shyly accepted his embrace, feeling like a girl in love, embarrassed but deeply immersed.
So, they went out for a date. Lance first took Deanna shopping. When they passed by a couple's clothing store, Deanna was drawn to a set of couple's outfits in the window. Lance noticed her gaze, smiled indulgently, and led her into the store.
