At home, the two little ones and Old Ashley saw Lance carrying Deanna inside and were very worried.
"Uncle Lance, what's wrong with Mommy?" Chloe approached, looking up at Lance with concern in her clear eyes.
Gregory and Old Ashley didn't say anything, but their worry was evident.
Lance quickly explained, "Don't worry, your mommy is fine. She's just very tired and fell asleep."
After speaking, he nodded to Old Ashley and carried Deanna to the bedroom.
Inside, Lance gently placed the small woman on the bed and thoughtfully covered her with a blanket. As he did so, he found himself very close to Deanna, his gaze inexplicably falling on her pink lips, feeling a sudden dryness in his mouth.
Without thinking much, Lance got up to get a glass of water. As he turned around, he saw two small heads peeking in from the doorway. It was Gregory and Chloe.
"What are you two doing?" Lance asked with a smile, walking over to them.
Outside, Chloe tugged at Lance and said in her sweet voice, "My brother and I were afraid Uncle would leave, so we waited outside the door. But Uncle, you're so kind to my mommy."
The little girl looked at Lance mischievously after saying this. Gregory didn't say anything but made funny faces.
Lance couldn't help but laugh, lightly tapping their heads. "Grown-up matters are not for children to worry about. Have you finished your homework?"
He changed the subject. The two little ones pouted and touched their heads where they had been tapped. "We finished it a long time ago. Do you want to check it, Uncle Lance?"
Lance naturally didn't refuse.
So, the three of them went to the living room. Old Ashley got up and went to the kitchen to cut some fruit for them.
Later, after checking their homework and playing with the two little ones for a while, Lance reluctantly left.
The next morning, Deanna went to the Hughes family clinic for free clinical treatment. This free clinical treatment session was scheduled for three days.
Old Hughes was surprised to see Deanna. "Didn't I tell Lance to tell you not to come? Why are you here?"
"Maybe I fell asleep yesterday before Mr. Mercer could tell me," Deanna replied with a smile. "I know what you're worried about, but it doesn't matter to me. My master told me when I was learning that as a doctor, I would encounter all kinds of people. What matters is whether my patients recover under my care."
Hearing this, Old Hughes knew she hadn't taken the incident yesterday to heart. He laughed heartily, his admiration for her growing.
"Your master was right. In our line of work, the patient is what matters; everything else is irrelevant."
Deanna nodded and looked around, noticing some changes in the doctors present today. She asked curiously, "Have the doctors changed today? I don't see Dr. Wright."
Dr. Wright referred to Efrain Wright. She asked specifically because she found him to be a rare talent in medical skills during their half-day interaction yesterday. Most importantly, Dr. Wright was a Western doctor, allowing her to discuss cases that combined traditional medicine with Western medicine.
Old Hughes understood what she was thinking. "Efrain will come later, and Old Wright from the Wright family will also be here. You can ask Old Wright any questions you have; Efrain's skills are not even half of his grandfather's."
"Dr. Wright is very skilled," Deanna said with a smile.
After chatting for a while, they started the free clinical treatment.
Today, there were many patients seeking treatment, making the scene lively. Many specifically asked for Deanna.
Deanna was flattered but remained humble and patiently communicated with each patient.
Later, Old Wright arrived with Efrain. He immediately approached Deanna with a grin. "Anna, I'm here."
"Old Wright, Dr. Wright," Deanna greeted them politely.
Old Wright waved his hand and urged her, "Don't mind us; continue treating patients. I'm here today mainly to observe your treatment methods."
Just as he finished speaking, Old Hughes happened to hear him and immediately stepped forward to push him away disdainfully.
"Go away! Trying to steal techniques without asking me first? Hurry up and see your patients; many are waiting for you!"
"Let Efrain handle it; today, I'm here to learn from Anna," Old Wright said without any embarrassment despite being exposed and pushed his grandson forward as a shield.
Even so, Old Hughes didn't let him succeed.
With Old Wright's addition, the free clinical treatment became even more popular, attracting more people by reputation.
Around noon, a car suddenly arrived outside. When the people inside got out, many present were astonished.
The reason was simple: it was Old Osborne who got out of the car, along with members of the Osborne family and Sariah.
