I woke up in the hospital with John sitting next to me and Doctor Young standing on the other side of me. I felt so embarrassed that I let myself get dehydrated and I felt bad that I could have lost the baby. Yes, I wasn’t sure about the baby but I didn’t want to harm it. I just needed to get use to the idea. I knew this was all my fault and now I’m going to sit with a hospital bill as well. John said he would pay which means I’m going to have to pay my boss back. It didn’t feel right with him sitting next to my bed. I wondered where Benji was I’m sure I saw him at the apartment. “John?” “Yes, what can I get you?” “Where is Benji?” John looked at me confused. “His in Housten Jojo, he left Thursday afternoon.” “I’m sure I saw him in my apartment.” “No, it was just me.” John said quickly like he was hiding something. But then again why would Benji be in my apartment he wouldn’t have been able to get back here so fast. “I was probable dreaming.” “Probable.” John said. “Can I get you anything?” “What time is it?” “It’s 2 am.” “Oh no you need to go home, Sophia will be so worried.” “No, I called her she said I should stay until you are awake and feeling better, she will come later to bring you clean cloths.” “You need to go home John you can’t stay here.” “Why not I’m making sure you’re okay.” “I’m awake and there are more than enough nurses here to look after me, please go home and sleep in your own bed.” “But I will stay with you.” “I know and I really really appreciate it but I will feel better if I know you are sleeping next to your wife tonight.” “Are you a hundred present sure?” “Yes John, thank you for coming to check on me I don’t know what would have happened if you didn’t.” “Let’s not think about that okay. Anything I can get you before I leave?” “You don’t have a Reese in your pocket, do you?” John smiled at me. “Unfortunately, not but I’ll bring some tomorrow morning.” “Thank you John.”

I was happy she was awake and knew what was going on around her. I felt sorry for her when the doctor was so hard on her but there was probable a reason for that. I mean I’m not going to tell her the things the doctor did. I know she’s heart broken I know being alone here is hard for her but I can’t tell the doctor that, it’s not my place and someone did have to tell her she needs to eat and look after herself and the baby. I was pleasantly surprised when she asked for a Reese I’ll make sure to have on hand at the Hotel for her and I need to speak to Jason that will be working with her. I don’t want her to overdo it. He needs to carry the heavy load. After Jojo kicked me out, I walked outside and ordered myself and Uber. I felt so bad for lying to her, telling her it was only me at her place when Cooper was there to but I wanted them to meet on different terms not like that. I had a feeling Cooper might just let his guard down with Jojo if Jojo will do it with him, well that is a whole other story.
As soon as the Uber arrived my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and saw Coopers name on the screen. “It’s past 2 why aren’t you sleeping?” I asked him. “You told me you will let me know what the doctor said, I was waiting for your call.” “Sorry Coop I thought you went to bed already.” “Nope, so what did the doctor say?” “Well let’s put it this way the doctor wasn’t happy with her and she made sure Jojo knew it.” “But is she okay and they baby?” “Yes, she actually kicked me out, I’m on my way home. And the baby is also doing okay the doctor wants to see her in 2 weeks to make sure she and the baby are doing better.” “Well, that is at least good news.” I went silent for a second “What?” Coop asked. “She asked me where Benji was because she was sure she saw him at the apartment.” “Oh shit.” “I told her it was just me.” “That was the best time to tell her about me.” “No, you two needs to meet on your own terms not like that.” “Why? I’m going to offer her an internship which come with money to finish her degree.” “Oh, good luck with that, she might take the internship but I already tried the money thing and she doesn’t want to take it.” “I’ll find a way.” “Well then I’ll maybe introduce you at the bar.” I told him. “I’ll do it myself.” Coop said. “Well, I’m home and going to sleep now please do the same.” I told Coop as I disconnected the call.

Except for all the in and out of the nurses during the early hours of the morning I actually slept well for a few hours. I woke up at 5 am when they brought me some tea and a biscuit. The nurse looked around and asked “Where’s your fiancé?” I was confused “What fiancé?” “The one that brought you in he actually carried you?” That confused me why would John say his my fiancé. “You mean the guy that was sitting here with me?” “No there was another guy, very handsome if I may say so he insisted he was your fiancé and didn’t leave your side.” “Can you describe him?” “Blond hair, and the clearest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. I actually thought to myself you two are going to have the most beautiful baby.” “Oh, thank you.” I didn’t know what to say because she wasn’t describing Benji at all, so someone else was with John and he didn’t want to tell me I wonder why?
