It was the day of the family meeting or how I like to refer to it as day 1 of a totally different Benjamin. Last night at the salon they got a taste of him but now my mother and father won’t know what hit them. Mel got me a few places to view which I did and off course everyone that showed me a house was a women and off course they flirted with me the old Benjamin would have flirted back but not this one, I was on a mission and no one and I mean no one will distract me from doing what I set my mind to. I liked the second house I saw, it also helped that it wasn’t close to my parents or Jojo’s parents. I almost called her again today; I had to keep myself busy or else I will give in and call her. The second house had 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms an office for me a huge entertaining area and a very nice kitchen for Mel. It even had an extra house outside where Anton and Mel could stay if they want to, that is. But non the less I put an offer in on the house and before I even got to my parents house the offer was accepted. The people who’s house it was was moving overseas so they sold everything, not quite my taste in furniture but nothing I can’t live with and it was the best quality money could buy so there was that.
When we stopped at my parent’s house at 6:55 pm Anton asked me “Are you ready for this?” “I am I’m not sure they are.” He opens the door for me, as I got out my mother stormed out of the house. “You said 7 pm and you are late for your own meeting!” She yelled at me “Mother it’s 6:57 I’m early.” “Don’t” “No mother if I was in your shoes I’ll keep quiet.” “I told you last night to not speak to me like this.” “Can we go inside and not make a scene in front of Anton.” “An employee I can do whatever I want in front of him.” I grabbed her arm and walked her into the house. “Not in front of my employees.” I told her. My father was sitting in the living room with a glass of bourbon in his hand. When I walked in, he got up “So what the fuck was so important you made me miss a meeting.” “Come on dad it wasn’t a meeting you were going to fuck some women, don’t hide behind a meeting.” “Benjamin!” my mother yelled at me. “It’s true you know it, I know it, why not say it as it is.” My father walks closer to me “You can be glad I stood so far from you or else you would have been on your ass right now.” “Oh no dad you wouldn’t dare.”
“What on earth is wrong with you?” My mom asked “Is this all about that Joelle bitch?” I never hit a woman not to mention my own mother but I was so close to hitting her. I made fist next to me sides digging my short nails into my hand. “Mom you will never and I mean never utter her name again in front of me or in public do we understand each other?” “I really don’t know who made you the boss of this family?” My mom said crossing her arms in front of her chest. “Well actually dad did.” “I did no such thing?” “Well, when you fucked up the company that I have to safe, you did and that is why we are here.” “I’m not stepping down if that is what you are thinking.” “Yes, dad you are and the board will back me on this tomorrow, I’m here to be nice to tell you what I’m going to tell the board tomorrow so you can listen, both of you or you can wait for tomorrow.” “I don’t need to be here I have nothing to do with the company.” My mom said. “Oh yes you do you spend the company’s money don’t you?” “I spend what your father gives me.” “Well, that power will now be in my hands so you will spend what I give you in fact both of you will spend what I give you. Which means I need to speak to the accountant to find out what you monthly expenses are, that includes the stuff you buy for your random girl’s dad.” “Boy you are testing me!” my father screamed. “What are you going to do, throw me out of the family now that you need me the most?” Both of them was quiet.
“We are not merging with the Warrens which would have been the best business decision you could have made but no you had to go and listen to gossip and smear Jojo’s name.” “That is not our fault she got pregnant.” My dad said. “It could have been dealt with differently I would have raised the child as my own.” “No, you wouldn’t have.” My mom said grabbing her chest. “I would have and the business would have been safe but you had to go and fucked it all up.” “You would have done that for the company?” My dad asked surprised. “No dad I would have done it for her because I love her the company would just have been bonus.”
