After dinner I went back to my room, I took a long shower and got into bed, when I opened my Instagram account there was actually a message from Benjamin “Hi fiancé How are you?” Then another “Cat cut your tongue?” Then another “You message me first.” Then nothing, clearly, he wasn’t a very patient man. “Hi sorry, I was studying and then had to have dinner with the parents.” I thought that sounded like a good excuse. He actually messages right back “No worries just thought you lost your nerve to talk to me.” How do I answer this because I was nervous to talk to him? “Fuck how can he say something like that?” I said out load. I heard my phone go off with another message and then another and then another. I decided to take my phone and look “I’m sorry Jojo, did I scare you?” “Jojo it was just a joke don’t ignore me.” “Jojo please?” “Sorry I was just shocked that’s all and to answer your question, off course I will take longer maternity leave when we have kids maybe we can build another empire our own law firm and the kids can decide in which direction they want to go.” I’ve never thought about it but that sounded actually like a very good idea my own law firm I wonder what my parents would say if we do that. “I don’t want to burst your bubble Jojo but unfortunately the kids won’t have a choice it would be the oil business or the oil business. I put the TV on and watched Love Is Blind. I was not speaking to Benjamin anymore tonight.
I was on my second episode of Love is Blind I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore I was so tired it was a long day. I switched my TV off and just got comfortable then my phone rang. I didn’t recognize the number so I let it go to voice mail but as soon as the phone stopped ringing it would start again. I let it go to voice mail 3 times before I answered. “Joelle hello?” “Joelle nice of you to answer.” “Who is this?” I think I had an idea but I had to make sure. “You know who it is Jojo.” “No, I really don’t.” “It’s your fiancé, Benjamin.”
