Chapter 60 ~The wrong dare~

Chapter 60 ~The wrong dare~

(Xander's POV)

I watched as Fiona danced with that dickhead, Andre. I was this close to punching him so much that he lost all his teeth.

Theon was howling painfully in my chest, but I could do nothing but watch.

“Are you okay?” Millicent looked at me worriedly.

She was Matt's sister. Somehow, Matt had convinced me to come to this party. After much persuasion, I conceded. After all, I needed a distraction from Fiona, right?

No.

I'd walked directly into her again. And this time I didn't know whether I was going to do something stupid. So I decided to act like she wasn't here.

“Yeah, I'm fine.” I muttered in response to Millicent’s question.

She deadpanned. “Xander, you're literally death-gripping the couch.”

I looked down to see that I was indeed holding the couch in such a tight clutch that my knuckles turned white.

I released my grip just as Matt walked in.

He looked high, which wasn't surprising, given that he'd been downing Molly since we arrived.

“Yoh, Xander.” He gave me a handshake, grinning widely. He plopped down noisily on the couch beside me.

The combination of the loud, torturous music and lighting made me dizzy and, frankly speaking, sick. Maybe it wasn't what made me sick. Maybe it was the fact that Andre was currently grabbing Fiona's waist, and she looked like she was enjoying it.

He muttered something to her ear, and she laughed richly. A painful tug at my chest.

I was this close to walking up to them and dragging Fiona out, but I remembered her father's warning.

I sank back in my seat, deciding to respect his words and to respect myself.

Millicent followed my eyes, and they landed on Fiona and Andre dancing. Her mouth formed an ‘o' but I doubt that she knew who Fiona was. She wasn't going to NorthVale.

“Do you want us on the dance floor?” She winked playfully. “I have some killer moves.”

She must have mistaken my stare for meaning that I wanted to dance. “Nah, I... I'm good.”

Her shoulder slumped faintly.

Matt, who was previously dozing in and out of consciousness, shot up suddenly.

He yelled over the music. “This is the most depressing shit I've ever been at. Let's turn it up! Truth or Dare.”

I almost face-pnalmed myself.

Hell no... Truth or Dare with NorthVale High students was bound to be disastrous. Someone usually ended up with a black eye or herpes.

The whole room roared. “Yeah. Good idea!”

I stood up instantly. “Yeah... Matt, Millicent, I'm out.”

Millicent's eyes widened.

“Hell no!” Matt tugged my arms. “Stay, man. Just a few minutes.”

I took a glance at Fiona, who'd now left the dance floor. She was seated with Andre and Yara.

Would she stay for the game or leave?

I waited quietly to see what she would do.

Already, people had formed a circle in the room.

I watched Yara and Fiona, who seemed to be arguing over participating in the game. I read her lips. She kept repeating ‘no' over and over again.

She'd already clutched her purse, ready to leave.

I don't know what Yara must have muttered in her ear because she gave a short glance in my direction.

With a smirk, she finally dropped her purse and walked into the circle.

Yeah, no... I'm definitely staying back.

I turned to Matt. “Let's play.”

Millicent did a little squeal. “Yay.”

We headed to the circle.

Matt created a space for us and we settled down.

“Who's going first?” Matt asked. Then his brows furrowed suddenly. “Disclaimer, if anybody makes out with my sister, you're dead.”

A small chuckle went round the room and Millicent turned red. “Stop!”

“Frances, truth or dare.” Matt started.

I almost rolled my eyes. Everyone knew he had a massive crush on Frances.

Frances kissed her teeth. “Dare.”

“I dare you to give me a blowjob.” Matt wore a trophy smile. The crowd erupted into howls.

Frances smirked finally when the noise died down. “It has to be in the bathroom.”

Another round of shouting erupted as they both walked into the bathroom next to us.

There was a pin-drop silence.

In a short while, we could all hear Matt's loud moans and swears. “Fuck... yeah... that's... yeah, that’s the spot.”

The crowd went crazy.

After a few minutes, they came out, and Frances' lipstick was completely gone.

Matt looked like someone who'd won an Olympic trophy. “I'm never washing my dick again, guys.”

Aside from a few girls who muttered ‘ew’, the rest giggled.

Jasmin turned to me. “Xander, truth or dare.”

I shrugged. “Dare.”

I could see Fiona stiffen from my peripheral vision.

Jasmin smirked. “I dare you to kiss the most attractive girl in this room.”

‘Oh' someone muttered. The circle suddenly turned quiet.

I'd never been so confused in my life. All the girls were staring at me expectantly.

Did Jasmin do this intentionally?

What do I do?

Fiona was looking literally everywhere else but at me. Yara was staring at me wide eyed.

Should I get back at Fiona for dancing with Andre?

I stood up and walked towards Millicent.

She had the biggest grin on her face.

I bent down and moved my lips towards her. I could feel the eyes of the whole crowd on us.

I pecked her on the cheek. She suddenly looked so disappointed.

Jasmin yelled. “That's cheating!”

I couldn't betray Fiona like that, no matter how hard I tried.

“You didn't specify where to kiss her. And besides, you all heard Matt's threat.”

“No, I'd have definitely killed you, man,” Matt muttered under his breath.

I looked at Fiona and felt her gaze already on me. She looked away first.

“Who's next?” Someone muttered.

“Me.” Brianna spoke. It wasn't her turn, but it was her party anyway, so nobody objected.

“Hmm... who do I dare?” She tapped her chin in thought, although, reading her expression, you could tell she already had someone in mind. “Dickhead brother. Truth or dare?”

Andre smirked and took a sip from his solo cup. “Asshole. Truth.”

“Boo!” The room erupted in boos.

He raised his palms. “Fine... fine. Sheesh! Dare.”

Brianna's gaze pierced her brother's eyes. “I dare you to make out with Fiona.”

Everybody's eyes went not to Fiona, but to me.

My eyes went to her, and she looked mortified.

Andre stood up, walking up to Fiona. “With pleasure.”

“N.. no. I don't think...” Fiona stammered as she shrunk back.

Andre suddenly looked irritated. “You've literally been flirting with me all night. What do you mean, no? Don't embarrass me.”

I clenched my jaw, waiting to see what would happen.

He held onto her, and the moment his lips met hers, I saw red.

“The fuck you don't.” I pounced on him with all my might.

The room went into a frenzy.

I kept throwing punches and kicks at him, tearing through his skin. Blood pooled on the floor.

Fiona was screaming.

I don't know how long it was or whether he was still alive, but outside filled with the sounds of sirens.

“Run! Someone called the cops.” Matt yelled.
