Chapter 10: His Fury Seemed to Come from Hell

Anna's POV

"Now that she's awake, we gotta make sure she behaves, so she doesn't cause us any trouble later," Sam sneered, his eyes full of malice. Then, a piece of wire was looped around my neck. Sam yanked it hard from behind, and I felt like I was dying. My neck was cut, and blood started pouring out.

"I heard choking someone while screwing them is the best. Lemme try it first," a fat and ugly boy said, pressing his face close to mine.

Sam asked, "Anna, what's with that look? You got a death wish? Too bad, that wire won't kill you."

Desperation hit me hard. I never thought I'd be denied even the right to die, forced to endure their torture.

Just then, a loud noise came from outside the door, and everyone turned to look.

The door was kicked open, and Danial, bleeding from his head, was thrown in.

"Get out," Isaac ordered.

When no one moved, Sam yelled, "Didn't you hear Isaac? Get out!"

Sam tried to bolt for the door, but as he passed Isaac, his wrist was snapped, and he was tossed out. The bone-breaking sound was loud enough for everyone to hear.

Sam's screams echoed down the hallway, and the others' faces went pale.

A boy with hair similar to Isaac's said, "Isaac, for old times' sake, can you let this slide? Pretend it never happened."

Isaac looked at me. "Do you want to forgive them?"

My throat was raw from being choked. I stared into Isaac's eyes and shook my head vigorously. "No, never."

"Okay," Isaac replied, locking eyes with me.

The boy's face twisted in anger. "Isaac, you're asking for it. You think we're scared of you?"

The boy and his four buddies turned into wolves and lunged at Isaac.

Isaac didn't even shift. One elbow strike took down a wolf, and a punch to the jaw shattered another's skull. He kicked one wolf into another, knocking them both over. Only two wolves were left standing.

Isaac stomped on one wolf's head and kicked it repeatedly. When another tried to help, he punched it in the head. He then kicked both wolves on the ground, the sound of breaking bones echoing.

"Spare us! We'll do anything you want!" they begged.

I was stunned. Isaac fought like a seasoned warrior. The old warriors in the tribe always said reaction speed couldn't be trained on the practice field; it only came from life-or-death situations.

"No! I was wrong!" The man's cries grew more desperate.

Thinking about Nick's take on Isaac, I couldn't help but wonder what had shaped Isaac's past.

From head to toe, they must've had countless bones broken, lying there motionless, too weak to even cry out.

"Isaac, please. Anna, I'm sorry. Danial made me do it!" Sam begged, kneeling on the ground, but Isaac didn't spare him.

Except for Danial, who had turned into a wolf and jumped out the second-floor window, the other bastards got a fate worse than death.

After dealing with them, Isaac walked over to me and extended his hand.

I placed my hand in his, and he lifted me off the ground. I tried to keep a bit of distance, worried he'd think I was dirty.

Everyone at the manor knew he had severe OCD.

Despite the heavy scent of blood clinging to Isaac, I felt an immense sense of security by his side.

"Are you afraid of me?" Isaac asked, looking down at me.

"It's not that, sorry," I croaked out.

Isaac's large hand pressed my head into his chest, and I obediently leaned against him.

As I lowered my head, exposing the nape of my neck, Isaac's fingers traced the bloody scratches and welts left by the wire.

"They deserve to die," Isaac cursed, turning to go after the wolves on the ground.

I hugged him tightly from behind, tears streaming down my face and soaking his clothes. "Enough, Isaac. Take me away," I pleaded.

If these people were killed, their fathers would unite and start a war. In their current state, they could wake up with the Alpha bloodline of werewolves, but they would suffer severe aftereffects. If I didn't stop Isaac, he would definitely kill them.

When we arrived at the manor, Isaac didn't take me back to my dorm but carried me into his bedroom.

The lights went out, and the room was plunged into darkness.

Isaac's arm rested beside my head, supporting his upper body. He seemed to be looking at me in the dark.

Isaac had just finished his bath, his hair still a bit wet, with water droplets cascading down his muscular chest. His breathing grew increasingly heavy as I pressed against him, hearing the sound of his heartbeat.

"Isaac," I called his name softly, wrapping my arms around his neck.

But Isaac removed my hand. "I don't need you to treat me like others, having sex with me out of gratitude."

Hearing his cold voice, I felt both ashamed and angry. Angry that Isaac thought of me that way, and ashamed because I did intend to show him favor to repay him. Maybe he even thought my earlier behavior seemed practiced with other boys.

"I understand. Thank you for your guidance, Mr. Allen," I replied respectfully, suppressing my anger.

I maintained my sleeping position, trying not to disturb Isaac.

There was only one pillow in the bedroom. When I was about to fall asleep, I moved slightly, and my lips seemed to press against something. Before I could even process that I had kissed Isaac's cheek, he had already seized my head with one hand.

"Isaac, let go of me. It was just an accident because of my pre-sleep habit..." I tried to explain, but he kissed me hard.

I struggled, but he controlled my body with one hand.

"A pre-sleep habit? Kissing your boyfriend every night?" Isaac's voice grew colder.

Maybe because my resistance was too strong, the voice-activated alarm turned on, lighting up the whole bedroom.

I was so angry that I bit Isaac's lip.

Isaac wiped the blood from his lip and sneered at me. "Anna, you are the boldest person I've ever met."

I couldn't help but tremble, clenching my fists, and walked forward to hug Isaac. "Am I even bolder now?"

"Yes," he chuckled softly in my ear, his voice magnetic like a cello.
