Chapter 125
Draven's POV.
I was quickly snapped back to reality by the voice of my chauffeur who said, "We are here."
Immediately he said this, I looked out the window and realized we had long passed the opera that reminded me about Hazel.
I was now in front of the warehouse where the small-time mafia boss, who had been ballsy enough to start his own cocaine trade without my consent, was inside.
I had gotten so lost in thought that I had forgotten that I was even on the road.
"Thank you, Jeremy," I said as I came down from the car to my chauffeur.
"It's been a pleasure, sir."
Come back in an hour, " I told him, and with that I turned around and started walking into the warehouse.
I walked in and was welcomed by several men inside, holding guns and standing in an orderly fashion.
Welcome, sir, they said as I brushed past them, heading into the inner parts of the warehouse.
We had used this warehouse several times, and I knew exactly where to go.
So after entering a certain room, I removed the mat that was there and went down the stairs into a room that would be an absolute nightmare to a regular person.
I had taken several mob bosses who were widely known and feared around town into this very room.
When they were still up and comers, a few of them had tried to stand up against me, while a few of them had been humble enough to simply bow down and obey my orders because they knew they stood no chance against my own mafia.
But the ones that were foolish enough to actually come against me were quickly outnumbered by me and brought into this room. I had taken the names, I had taken the family members of several of them, and I intended to do more to all those who came up against me.
I wasn't planning on doing too much to this particular one, though, since he had simply started trading cocaine at a lower price without coming to me. My lesson will be short, swift, and simple.
When I walked in, there were three men in the room already. No, there were four men. There was Kenny, my right-hand man, two other men who I suppose were helping him, and the mafia boss himself.
He had a black eye and a broken nose, and blood was dripping from his mouth. His hair was all deceived. Clearly, he was tossed around before tied down to the chair.
The second he saw me, he quickly began to pant widely because he knew what was about to happen.
"Please, please no. I didn't know what I did. I won't make the same mistake twice. I can give you ninety percent guarantee. I can give you ninety percent guarantee. I can give you ninety percent guarantee."
"I thought I told you this, Kenny always deliver them fresh so I can start from scratch." I said without even looking in his direction. I was still glancing down at the many tools on the table.
"Well, actually, I didn't inflict the damage you see on him. When we got there, he tried to be resistant toward us, so the boys here had to teach him a lesson. He's been making threats all day, and he really didn't shut up until he heard your name. He's been begging, of course, and sometimes, when begging didn't work, he would threaten us. Each time, we would have to teach him a little lesson. This is actually the freshest we could have given him to you. But I still offer my sincerest apologies," kenny said, without any emotion in his face or voice.
Well, no use crying over spilled milk. He's in at his freshest, and there's nothing I can do about it.
As I ran through the many tools on the table, I stopped at one that looked like a scalpel, but it was much bigger.
The handle, and the mop bus on the chair, as soon as he saw it, freaked out and began to lose his mind.
"Please, please, don't use that on me. Anything, I'll give you anything. I'm sorry for the mistakes I've made. I'll do whatever you want. Please," he begged, screaming at the top of his voice.
The activity he was currently engaging in was the exact reason we decided to have this room underground, where, no matter how the person we were insisting pain on was screaming, nobody else would be able to hear them.
And even if they just so happen to hear them, no one would think of entering here or calling the cops, because even if the cops were to come here, they would know to turn back immediately, considering a person like me could get their bosses fired.
But I still lacked the comfort of watching them scream in a very closed room, with them knowing their screams would never come out.
"Your name is Gianni Russo, is it not?" I said, as I began to put on my black gloves.
" Please, whatever you want, I'll do it, no matter what, please, don't harm me. I have a family," he said, screaming hysterically at this point.
Hmm, he made a terrible mistake just now." I hate being ignored, and that's exactly what he just did. I asked him a question, and somehow he thought it was right to ignore me. Your name is Gianni Russo, is it not?" I asked, repeating myself.
"Plea-."
But before he could finish the word that was coming out of his mouth, I turned around sharply and threw the tool at him. It penetrated cleanly between the minuscule aperture of his eye and that of the nose bone. Considering how big the tool was, it wasn't able to make such a clean slide into his eye, and as such, his flesh was cut, making him move his eyes and blinking in absolute agony.
" I just asked you a question, and you ignored me not once, but twice." I said angrily.
"Perhaps you think begging and pleading with me is more important than telling me your name. If I ask you to state your name, you state your name and then beg later. But for some reason, I ask you a question, and you think it's appropriate for you to ignore me." I said, and began to walk slowly toward him.
He was screaming at the top of his lungs at this point, and crying from the other eye, while blood simply splashed and poured in large amounts from the eye with the sharp tool inside.
The blood from the bleeding eye seemed to be a bit lighter than the other one, as though someone had diluted it with water, but I guess that it was probably just tears mixed with blood coming out of that particular eye.
He had lost all ability to speak at this point, and was screaming at the top of his voice, disregarding everything else around him. He couldn't touch his eye, remove the knife, or really do anything. Since every part of his body was tied down.
I walked up to him and held the handle of the tool that was currently in his eye and began to fiddle around with it.
With this yanking movement, I was actually threatening to remove his eye and he was screaming at the top of his voice.
Then I asked, as I said, "I will ask you for the last time or else I will gouge out your eye. What is your name?"
I am Giani. I am Giani Russo. He said, with extreme tension, hate, and pleading to his voice, Good, at least you are finally making some progress.
And after saying that, I grabbed on to the scalpel tool even tighter, and then, with one swift movement, I yanked his eye out, letting it spill to the ground.
Immediately after I did this, this one-eyed man with an empty socket that was severely bleeding was screaming at the top of his voice now, losing his mind.
It first started out as random screams at a man at hysteria, but then he started cursing me with hate.
"You son of a bitch, you dared remove my eye. I already told you my name, what the fuck is wrong with you? I'll kill you, do you hear me? I'm going to come for you and I'm going to kill you, but I'll torture you slowly before I do it."
He was screaming at the top of his voice, but just then, I placed the tool in front of his other eye, and he went dead silent.
