Chapter 15: WHO INJURED YOU?
WHO INJURED YOU
Camilla managed to wipe some blood from her body. She stared at Annie as she walked away, till she was out of sight.
She tiptoed into her bedroom, making her way straight to the bed.
She couldn't control her emotions any longer, and this made her burst into tears.
She was feeling pains all over her body, and she could bear it again.
The pieces of glass that broke on the ground pierced her skin, making blood rush out of her skin.
“Argh,” Camilla groaned out, throwing her head backward in pain.
Just then she had a knock on her door, which made her wipe her tears quickly.
Her mind was that Caesar had returned back from where he went.
He left her all alone in the bedroom earlier in the day before Grandma Agnes called her.
She slipped her feet into her slippers and quickly grabbed a hoodie from the wardrobe in her room.
She wore it and made her way to the door.
She let out a heavy sigh as she stared at the door.
She knows that Caesar won't be happy to hear about what Annie did to her, and that was the reason why she would keep it from him.
Yeah! She still wants revenge on Eric and Annie, but she wants to do it all alone.
The knock sounded on the door again, which snapped Camilla out of her thoughts.
She took another two steps and opened the door gently.
She was surprised to see the head of the maid in front of the door.
“I'm sorry to disturb you, ma’am.”
The head of the maid said with a smile on her face.
“What the heck is she doing here?” She asked herself.
Camilla didn't even bother to reply to the maid; she just stared at her, but then she noticed that she was holding a first aid box.
“What's wrong? And what are you doing here?” Camilla asked.
“Actually, I came here to treat your wound because I know that you will still be in pain.” The head of the maid replied.
“I'm fine, just leave, I know you have a lot of things to do today” Camilla said.
“Don’t worry about me; you need to get your wound treated to avoid more pain.” The head of the maid replied.
Camilla could see how much the maid cares for her, and she knew that she needed the treatment.
“Okay, come in,” Camilla said, stepping aside for the maid to come in.
The maid walked into the room, and Camilla closed the door.
She gestured to a chair in the room for the maid to sit on, but she declined.
“What's wrong? You don't have to be scared; feel free, Camilla said.
“I'm okay, ma’am; I think it's you that should sit down so I can be able to treat your wound.” The head of the maid replied.
“Oh okay, no problem,” Camilla said, settling on the chair immediately.
As Camilla sat down on the chair in her room, the head of the maid, a kind-faced woman with a gentle touch, hurried over to her.
She quickly opened the first aid box and began to treat Camilla's wounds.
Camilla winced in pain as the maid carefully cleaned the cuts and bruises that covered her skin.
The broken glass had torn through her clothes and pierced her skin, leaving her with a series of jagged cuts and gashes.
The maid worked quickly and efficiently, but Camilla couldn't help but feel a growing sense of pain as the maid treated her wounds.
She gritted her teeth and tried to bear it, but it was clear that she was in a lot of discomfort.
As the maid continued to work, Camilla's eyes began to water, and she felt a lump form in her throat.
She was trying to be brave, but the pain was starting to get to her.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the maid finished treating Camilla's wounds.
She stepped back and surveyed her handiwork, a look of satisfaction on her face.
Camilla let out a sigh of relief as the maid helped her to her feet.
She was still in pain, but at least the treatment was over.
As the maid helped Camilla to the bed, Camilla turned to her and asked
"What's your name?"
The maid smiled and replied, "My name is Rosa, signorina. I've been taking care of this house for many years."
Camilla smiled weakly and said,
"Thank you, Rosa. You're very kind."
Rosa smiled back and said,
"It's my pleasure, signorina. Now, try to get some rest. You've been through a lot."
“Sure, I will.” Camilla replied.
“I would like to take my leave now,” Rosa said.
“Oh, okay, have a nice day,” Camilla replied.
“You too, ma’am,” Rosa said, walking out of the room.
But then she bumped into Ceasar on her way out of the room.
Rosa bowed her head respectfully as she stared at Ceasar, who looked at her coldly without saying a word.
He made his way into the room where he met Camilla sleeping on the bed.
She had already dozed off, and she didn't notice anyone's presence.
Caesar sat next to Camilla on the bed, staring at her with a smile on his face.
He pecked her forehead, and this made her open her eyes.
“Caesar!” Camilla called weakly.
“Hey babe, how have you been?” Caesar said.
But then he touched her hand, making Camilla groan out in pain.
“What's wrong?” Caesar asked, concern etched on her face.
“I'm fine,” Camilla replied, a fake smile playing on her lips.
“No, you're not, babe, the moment I touched you….” Caesar said before Camilla cut in.
“I'm cool. You don't have to worry about me, Camilla replied.
But then Caesar's eyes moved to Camilla's skin, and his eyes widened in shock as he stared at the bruises on her skin.
“Oh my gosh, Camilla, who did this to you?” Caesar asked, his gaze never leaving her skin.
“I...I...” Camilla stammered, unable to find her voice.
“I said, ‘Who did this to you?” Caesar said, his voice raising in anger.
“You don't have to worry about this; forget it, please.” Camilla replied.
“Give me a name, Camilla,” Caesar said.
The moment Caesar called her Camilla, her heart skipped a beat.
Caesar had never called her Camilla, and that made her become very surprised.
“You called…” Camilla said before Caesar interrupted.
“A name!” He spat.
“Annie,” Camilla said.
