Chapter 63: Yumni deer 2

"Yifang, have you eaten dinner?"

Yifang looked up and found Saya behind him. He was sitting on the bench that was in front of the bed of roses.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned her as he raised his hand and held Saya's hand making her come around the bench and sit with him. He wrapped his one arm around her waist and put his chin over her shoulder.

"I was looking for you. I thought you will eat dinner with me but you never came."

She complained while Yifang buried his face in the crook of her neck.

"Do you want to hear a story?"

"Why are you acting like this? Did something happen?"

Yifang held her wrist and touched the jade bracelet.

"Saya, we need to talk. But first, you should eat something."

He told her and before Saya could say anything, Yifang got up and held her closer to him. Saya was confused and wanted to ask him what was going on with him.

He would act distant towards her but as the same time he would shower her with care.

As they reached in the room, Mary asked the maids to serve the dinner. During the dinner, Yifang kept feeding her and Saya became even more confused.

After the dinner, Yifang asked Mary to bring some milk in a bowl. As she brought what he asked for, Yifang told her that she can leave for the night and then locked the room.

He inhaled deeply before taking Saya's hands in his.

"Saya, there is something I want to tell you.

You know there are ordinary wolves then there are werewolves and then Lycans.

Lycans are stronger then both.

Similarly, there are doctors then healers and then there is one person that is stronger than them.

They are called MASEHHA."

"Huh?

Oh I remember. Isn't this what that man said?"

"Yes it is."

Yifang nodded as he squeezed her hands.

"But MASEHHA is not someone ordinary. There haven't been a MASEHHA is like hundred or more years.

MASEHHA means selfless healer or protectors. They have great healing powers and for us they are no less than gods.

And so there are Yumni deers. These are special to us. They are the holy creatures and only a Yumni deer can found a MASEHHA.

Every MASEHHA take care of a young cub of Yumni deer. Their powers intertwine and they become one."

Yifang kept speaking while Saya chuckled softly.

"It's very fascinating. I mean, I am not making fun of anything but still, it's so strange."

She smiled and wanted to get up thinking it was over but Yifang held her hands tightly. His fingers dug into her skin making Saya winced in pain.

"And they can't belong to just one person."

"Eh?"

"I don't want to lose you."

"Why are you talking like this? I am not going to leave you. May be you don't know but we humans are very loyal. Just like those things, a marriage is very important to us." She smiled brightly and cupped his face as she leaned and kissed him gently.

"Even if you dared to leave me, I will break your legs."

Yifang's eyes turned red as he moved her back.

"Saya, you are the MASEHHA."

"Eh?" She blinked and then she laughed loudly.

"Nice try. I can't birthday you made all this story just to prank me like this.

You are really silly. Now get up and freshen up. You smell of sweat and...."

Yifang grabbed her hand and showed her the bracelet.

"It must be hungry. You need to call it."

"Call who."

Before Saya could understand anything, the bracelet became a halo of light and moved away from her wrist. The halo moved towards the ground and slowly started taking a shape of a cub. The silhouette started turning into a deer cub that was too small and right now had no antlers.

It opened it's eyes and looked at them. It's eyes were the same green shade as of Saya. Seeing Yifang, it moved back as if scared while Saya was astonished to speak.

"It's scared of me. I can understand that but you need to feed it soon." Yifang pointed towards bowl and left the room.

Saya's brain was hurting with all the information but the cub moved towards her and sniffed her fingers and this gesture was too cute that Saya forgot everything.

The cub slowly started drinking milk while Saya ran her fingers over its soft fur.

She always was an animal lover since her childhood. She can count each and every animal she raised in her twenty years of life.

There were pigeons, sparrows, hummingbirds, cats, dogs and even a fox. Either they were injured or were abandoned by their parents but in the end, she never tried to cage them. Some left, some stayed with her.

And now this deer cub.

But none can compete with how soft it's fur was. Not even her cat who was in her palace with her sister.

The cub drank milk and then played around her until it was tired and rested in her lap.

This was when Yifang came back. He looked at the cub and then walked towards it. Sitting near Saya, he watched the cub.

Has he ever imagined he will see a Yumni deer let alone touch one?

As he moved his hand towards the cub, it suddenly became stiff and then then into a halo of light before becoming the jade bracelet around Saya's wrist.

He chuckled softly.

"I should be thankful that I saw a Yumni deer because of you and now a cub is in my room."

"Yifang....."

"Yes...."

"Why don't you kiss me anymore? Is it because...."

She asked him who blinked.

"Yes. I can't do this. MASEHHA are very respectful to us."

"I don't care. I love you and even now brother likes you. Kindly stay with me as you were before. Don't build walls between us."

Her voice became hoarse making Yifang took her in his embrace.

"Hey, don't cry.

I will be with you forever."

"Then, why are pushing me away. You will kiss me everyday and now you are trying to ignore me. It hurts me."

Yifang cupped her face and wanted to tell her that he was hurt too. He felt stuck in a dark room. His chest would feel heavy and sometimes he could not breathe thinking about the future.

"Do not work, we have a long time before anyone knows about you being the MASEHHA."

He patted her head and then leaned to capture her lips. He did not have to hurt her just because he was scared of future.

.................

The next day, Saya was in the garden when Gloria came to meet her. Saya could see a mark on her neck which turned red and purple.

"Last night, Paul was angry because of what we did but do you think I can let him stay angry with me. I am a master of the art of seduction.

But in the end, it was me who sufferwd the most."

Saya chuckled as Gloria rubbed her mark.

"Yeah, yeah, you can liagh all you want but wait when Prince Yifang marks you. It's not just a bite mark."

Gloria warned her who grinned seeing her expressions.

"You people get jealous so quickly." Saya added.

"You are right. Even though I knew he haven't done anything physical with her but still I listened to my heart and not my brain.

In the end, I deserve this punishment.

Even though it was not punishment for me."

She winked and Saya smiled in response as she shook her head.

Her eyes fell on Bina who was walking with Xavier and Gloria elbowed her.

"He is totally smitten over that witch.

But Saya, if he married her, it can help him in future. Bina is powerful and she can see future. Marrying her is a win win situation for your sibling."

Saya did not say anything.

She did not care whom Xavier marries. All he cared was Xavier was happy.

Later, Saya went to Xavier's room to meet him and talk about her situation but as she went there, Xavier was already worried about Bina as introducing her as his future wife could only bring problems. So, she could not say anything and only wished him good luck for his future.

On the other side of the palace, Ursala went to meet queen but the maids told her that queen was sick and was sleeping right now. The whole day, she tried many times but the response was the same.

Inside the room, Niomi looked gloomy. After the promise with Yifang, she did not want to interfere with them anymore.

"I have no idea what I saw in her. She is way worse than a dog. At least, Saya is better than her.

Even if the curse is not broken, Gloria can carry the next king. I should not worry about other things. Right now, I need to stay hidden until this bitch leaves.
