Bella insisted on seeing Daniel, it had been two days since she was told that he had been found but she was not allowed to go to him, she would see him today and nothing could stop her.
She grabbed Aaron's arms when he was about to go out, "I'm coming with you" she stated firmly and he sighed
"It's too dangerous..."
"I don't care, I only want to see my husband" she insisted and he thought about it for a second before nodding, "alright but just this time, I don't want the enemy to sniff that he is vulnerable otherwise, he will be in more danger"
"Alright, just this once and I won't insist on seeing him again until he has completely recovered"
Brittany had gone back to check on her store and promised to be back soon and Bella hoped to be back before Brittany returned.
She followed Aaron out into the car and noticed the guards that came along with them, was this how she would be living in fear and going about with armed guards? She reminded herself that this was the life of Nikolai Klaus, a life that eludes danger and she has just entered into that dangerous life and the only way to come out of this is to take away Nikolai from her life.
She preferred him as Daniel Calvin, their lives were so simple then, but now, everything has suddenly become so complicated.
She noticed how the driver was carefully looking at his rearview mirror and she grew even more apprehensive, were they being followed? She looked back through the back screen but couldn't see anything, the driver made a sharp turn and sped up, she glanced at Aaron who was looking straight ahead with his face set in a grim line, and for the first time in a long time, Bella closed her eyes and prayed.
The car soon stopped in front of a small but portable building and Aaron got out, following his lead, she got out of the car and followed Aaron into the building.
Inside the building looked well furnished and clean but it didn't look like a hospital and she thought he was supposed to be in the hospital. There were armed guards strolling everywhere and security cameras too, this was more serious than she envisioned. What has she gotten herself into by getting married to a dark and dangerous man?
Daniel was lying on a king-sized bed with pipes connected to his body, even in his state, his aura illuminated the room and for the first time, she saw him for who he was, Nikolai Klaus, the dangerous king of the underworld, his world spelled danger and she had perceived that danger even as Daniel Calvin and once again, she felt unsure if she wants to be part of his world.
He turned as if sensing her presence and his gaze snared hers, those caramel's eyes washed over her bringing unwanted feelings of love straight to her heart.
She gasped inwardly as the realization hit her, "feelings of love", yes, she loved him, she had helplessly fallen in love with Daniel Calvin but right now, she won't know how to feel about Nikolai Klaus
"Isabella" he called out and the sound of her name on his lips sent a ringing to her heart, "you came" his gaze was shadowed as he stared at her and she slowly walked towards his bed, she heard the door quietly shut behind her as she was left alone with him.
"Yes, I came, Nikolai Klaus" she replied as she took a seat close to his bed, he had the guts to feel embarrassed as he shifted uncomfortably on the bed
"I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to find out like this"
"Really, what way would you want me to find out? You were my husband and you wore a mask to woo me, what game were you playing?" She asked, hurt that he would take her for such a fool, and tears of anger gathered in her eyes"
"No... Isabella, you are never a game for me, I had it in mind to tell you who I really was but..."
"But nothing...you had it in mind until when? I can imagine how you were laughing at me for feeling guilty about your kisses when the one whom I was actually kissing was my husband, I can also imagine how you will be laughing as I go about calculating every penny we had or spent so as not to go beyond budget while you had the money to buy the entire world if you wish to. I will never forgive you for this, never" she cried as she stood up, she had come here to see him because she was worried but talking about everything that had hurt her made her emotions to be on the high side.
"I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, can't you forgive me?"
"I can't and I don't think that I want to be part of your world, it's too dangerous to start with"
"I will protect you, you have nothing to fear"
"All I want is a safe world where there is no danger and where I don't need to be protected around the clock"
"Isabella..."
"Goodbye Daniel... I'm moving out" she stated and rushed out of the room. What's wrong with her? She longed to hug him, kiss him, and tell him how much she loved him but here she was doing the opposite, she hated that he had deceived her this way but she hated more that he wasn't who she thought he was. She wanted a normal life and a normal husband, not a husband that could get shot at any moment nor was she looking for a husband that ruled the mafia world, she wanted a husband that could come home every day and they'll sleep cuddling each other but she cannot have that with Nikolai Klaus. Their one-year contract will be over very soon and she will divorce him but for now, living separately will be good for them. She can apply to live in the school hostel for now until their contract expires.

The ride home was quiet and Aaron cleared his throat, this was the third time that he had done that, to think that she had respected him so much as her boss but now he can't even speak to her? It's funny indeed
"The boss should not be upset at his current state" he finally voiced out, of course, all he cared about was his boss and he was trying to protect her also because of his boss
"I know, I'm sorry but I didn't mean to upset 'your boss' she replied with her voice dripping sarcasm
"I thought you went to see him because you were worried about him, I didn't know you went there to pour out your anger"
"I was worried about him but seeing him brought out all the anger that I had pushed aside"
"He didn't mean to deceive you, you know"
"But he did" she hissed and glared at the driver, "stop the car"
"What!" Both Aaron and the driver stared at her like she had two heads
"I said stop the car, I am going to my house and I am going there in a taxi"
"Ma'am..."
"I said stop the car" she screeched and the driver stopped the car and stared at Aaron in confusion. Aaron shrugged and watched her get out of the car, "don't follow me" she yelled before flagging down a taxi.
Bella smiled as she stared from the back screen as Aaron's car tire popped and they had to park in order to change the tire. She was grateful for whatever popped his tire because she knew he would try to follow her despite her warnings, he was Nikolai Klaus faithful dog.
With him out of the way, she could easily move out with no one trying to convince her otherwise and she didn't need anyone to know where she had moved to, she looked forward and frowned at the unfamiliar road,
"Driver, this isn't the road to my house, I think you've made a mistake," she said but the driver didn't reply, he just kept on driving
"Where are you taking me and who are you?" She asked and fear laced her heart, what's going on? "Stop the car" she ordered as it dawned on her that she might be getting kidnapped but still the driver didn't say a word, he just accelerated and kept on speeding
"I said stop" she yelled and dragged his hand making the car skid sideways but he snatched his hand away and hit her between her shoulder and her neck and she felt herself grow weak as she slid into unconsciousness.
