BELLA.
I turned back and saw him running back to his secretary Catherine and after talking to her, he ran back to me in a few minutes.
"I did, and before you say anything," he panted profusely that I had to excuse myself from the guests. " I'm really sorry. I know my sorry can't fix your anger and I'm totally aware of my mistake. I should have personally told her about me."
"But you didn't!" I rolled my eyes and walked back into the second-floor balcony. I don't want reporters to publish another scandal about me.
"Listen to me, my wife." He follows me to the balcony and says, "Actually I was going to announce my marriage to you later tonight after meeting you in Saint Petersburg. I never thought you would arrive here and—"
"I understand," I interrupted him. "You were busy and needed more people to carry out your orders. I'm not complaining, and I'm not angry. Just leave me alone for some time so that I can calm down."
"No, I'll stay here." He insisted on being with me and I don't know why I felt annoyed when I actually wanted him to insist and stay glued to me.
There became an awkward silence between us since I wasn't talking or answering any of his questions. When suddenly Alex and Catherine walked onto the balcony, holding the champagne glasses.
"Boss, we have been looking for you everywhere," Catherine said and glanced at me up and down. Probably comparing herself to me, foolish shrew. "Why are you on the balcony with this model? Many business clients are waiting for you in the ballroom."
"Catherine, do you know who she is?" Alex stepped in while Caspar massaged his forehead.
I raised my hand at Alex, in a gesture to be quiet while I stepped close to Catherine. Eyeing her, I chuckled, "I'm not simply a model but the chairwoman of Dior Group, my name is Bella Dior and your boss is my husband!"
"Right Caspar?"
"Yes," he repeated. "Catherine, you must quickly apologize to my wife for making insulting comments on her. I'll not tolerate such actions in the future."
Catherine's face turned pale, she must be getting flashbacks. I wanted to laugh at her confused face, she got humbled instantly.
Falling on her knees, that woman pleaded, "Madam, pardon me for everything I said and done. I made a big mistake by not recognizing you. I seek your forgiveness, please don't fire me from the job."
"Alright, leave now."
Oh my kind heart. I can't believe I can forgive them so easily after suffering a series of emotions. Alex quickly takes her away and I'm left alone with Caspar.
He stepped close to me and we both looked at the nightlife scenery ahead of us. Breaking the silence he asks, "How's Karina?"
"She's good and staying with her grandparents but she misses you a lot."
"Oh, I'm sorry for that. I should have finished my business here early and met her. I don't know how she will react," Caspar emotionally said.
And we went quiet again, I don't know why it was so awkward to talk to him. I guess maybe we met after so many days. It can get weird, so I tried to fight this off. Pushing away the weirdness, I congratulated him.
"Thank you," he smiles. "Congratulations to you too for getting back your father's group. I can totally relate to how you would have felt when winning the lawsuit."
"Yes," I stared at him and I said to myself how badly I missed him. I wanted to say it loud and make him realize that, but I remained quiet and allowed my eyes to talk to him.
And as if he read my unsaid feelings, he steps close and whispers, "I missed you, Bella. More than you, every second without you appeared like hell to me. I was barely holding myself together because whatever I was doing was for our future.''
"I wanted to give us a bright future."
"And I'm proud of your achievements, Caspar," I said calmly with a sweet smile playing on my lips. " Karina and I are so happy for you. Let's return to Saint Petersburg and meet our daughter with open arms."
"Yes, let's do that," he embraced me in his arms and I hugged him tightly.
I needed that hug. I didn't even realize when we both teared up in each other's arms, but those were tears of happiness. Finally, everything was solved, Caspar and Olivier, both were investigating chairman Alden Mcadam on the assassin's attack on me.
It will soon reveal who the culprit was behind my countless assassin attacks. Theodore was no longer bothering me, it appeared like he got lost somewhere and I loved that feeling of relief.
I kissed Caspar under the beautiful moonlight and the cool breeze brushed against our bodies, while we were standing in one corner of the balcony. Our kiss deepened as he pressed me against the wall, his hands engulfing my waist while I held his broad shoulders.
"I love you, Bella," he mumbled, separating his lips from mine. Leaning close, he touches his forehead with mine and our noses collide too. He breathed me, I breathed him and we experienced the love blooming in our hearts again.
Intertwining my fingers with his, I replied, "I love you too. You are the only man I have loved this much."
"I feel honored, Miss Bella Dior. I can't believe I'm kissing the chairwoman of the Dior group," he teased me and took me out of my character.
Hitting his chest lightly, I laughed, "Shut up Caspar. You have a tendency to ruin the perfect romantic scene."
" I mean it's the truth, my wife is now a big personality."
"Stop it, please," I covered my face in embarrassment, I didn't know my shyness only appeared in front of him.
If it were said by someone else, I would have given him/her a perfect earful of scoldings. Caspar just brings out my soft feminine side which I never knew I had.
"Oh you two are flirting with each other here," I heard my brother's voice, with fast footsteps approaching the doors of the balcony. " I have been looking for you guys only to find out you both were enjoying yourselves here. Who will greet the guests then?"
"You could do that, brother," I replied, turning back and saw him dashing towards us.
"Hey, my little sister," he retorted as he put his arm around Caspar's shoulder. "I don't know anything about business. All I know jis how to give orders and fight wars. This business, you should handle it. Leave me out for god's sake."
"You are being lazy!" I taunted him, "How could you not understand when it's in your genes? Never mind, I'll meet with the guests. You two talk with each other."
"Oh yes," Olivier smirked slyly at me and I showed him the middle finger.
"Woah, mind your manners, young lady, will you?" He laughed and I showed another finger to him. " I can't believe you fell in love with my sister. She's a replica of a demon."
"You know brother, I can hear you and I'm not gone yet," I stopped at my mid-way and looked back. " I can't believe you are complaining about me. Alright, you leave me with no options."
I returned to Caspar, held his right wrist and dragged him out of the balcony, leaving Olivier all by himself. However, like a clingy brother, he followed me and we greeted our guests.
Everything was going well and we were prepared to leave as the party ended. Our private jet was waiting for us when I received an email notification floating on my phone's screen from someone unknown.
"Excuse me," I walked away from the guests and opened the email. It read as 'Congratulations on winning the lawsuit and getting back your group and companies, my love. I'm so happy for you that I have sent a beautiful gift for your success."
My heart raced not with good feelings, I quickly deleted the email and looked for Caspar and my brother. They were nowhere to be seen, and I panicked.
"Where is everyone?" I murmured when everything around me turned dark, I suddenly stopped hearing voices. I rubbed my eyes again and again but in vain.
"W-What is happening with me?" I mumbled, running god knows where and I bumped into someone.
"Bella," Caspar's voice brought me back to reality. The darkness faded away and I hugged him. "What's the matter, my wife? Who was it?"
"Nobody, I was just scared of being alone." I was experiencing the trauma of the past which numbed my brain for a second.
"Silly girl, why would you be scared," my brother flicked on my forehead when I calmed myself down.
Suddenly we heard the commotion, everyone was going downstairs and complimenting something with great surprise.
"Did something happen?" I asked, wiping off my tears. "Why are they all running downstairs?"
To which Olivier brushed his hair and carelessly answered, "Someone's lover went all out with the surprise gift. He has sent her a custom-designed Bugatti car and has spread petals of roses on the way to the staircase."
"I do not find it romantic because it just displays his crazy wealth."
I was speechless. My feet rushed instinctively towards the staircase and to my fucking surprise, the stairs were bathed with black roses which symbolise love and death.
RING.
Another email notification flashed on my phone and I opened it.
'Do you like my surprise for you? Walk out and you'll see your dream car. The car which you once described to me as your favorite,' I read the email. ' I have finally had it designed by top engineers and now I have gifted it to you. Enjoy your day, my beautiful future wife.'
Disgusting! I feel nauseous. How could he still think of marrying him?
