Chapter 29: Cinnamon monster

"I knew I could trust you when you said you wanted to help." Shell said walking out of their torture room behind Ella.

"How can you not? I am your sister-in-law after all," she said with an innocent smile, like she did not just torture someone to death. Shell let out a sigh, placing her right hand on Ella's shoulder. 

"You know at first I was against the idea of V finding a girl. Like he is rich, famous and powerful and any girl might be with him just for those things. You know what I mean that he might be loved for what he has rather than who he is as a person. But now I am glad that you were the one." Shell said, looking a little relieved after letting out what she had on her mind.

"Awe, Shell, you are—"

"V woke up!" The high-pitched voice yelled out, turns out it was Jake. He was all red and breathing really fast. Seems like he ran all the way here instead of driving. 

WAIT, WHAT?

"What?!" Ella asked once again just to confirm what she heard was right.

"V is awake after his long slumber." Jake said, rolling his eyes but still had a smile on his face. And in another sec the three of them were in their car with Jake driving, Ella and Shell constantly shouting at him to drive fast. 

"Shut up both of you. This is a car not a freaking Jet!" Jake yelled back to shut both of them and they just compiled to him like an obedient kid.

"Anyway we have reached." Jake announced, making both to literally jump out of the window.

They both dashed inside the room, just to see a confused V looking towards their direction. Ella immediately ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug. "Welcome back. We missed you." 

She said tears, already forming in the corner of her eyes because of happiness but what V spoke made her frozen.

"Who are you?" 

Ella immediately retreated from her position and stared at V to find any glint of joke but he was dead serious and stared back at her with his cold eyes.

"I, umm, am your wife?" She was so close to losing her just found smile.

"My wife?" 

Ella gulped her saliva as sweat beads formed on her forehead. 

She was imagining so many 'scenarios' and 'what-ifs' inside her head.

But it did not stay for much as he burst into laughter making everyone in the room follow him except Ella and Shell who looked at them dumbfounded as if they had lost their mind.

 "Aww my wife missed me." V said wiping the tears forming on the corner of his eyes. 

"I missed you too." V said hugging her stiff body. She still had not regained her piece of mind. But he soon turned serious as he saw Shell. "Shell, I need to talk to you about business matter." He said, clearing his throat.

"If that's the case then you should talk with Ella not me. After all she was the one to take care of your business." Shell said, making Ethan laugh. 

"I know you were pranked by me but that does not mean you can prank me too. You think I would believe that this," he pointed at Ella, "Cinnamon roll can handle my business." V said, making Ella to smack his head.

"Do you want to be in a coma again for 4 years?" Ella said glaring at V. 

"And For your information, I did take care of your business and also I helped Shadow to descend to hell just a few minutes ago." She said, raising one of her eyebrows with a smirk.

V was shocked to the point that he could get a heart attack. His wife, his innocent wife who hated gore, just killed someone! He somehow felt guilty but also proud at the same time.

"She goes by She-devil now." Shell said, swinging her arms at Ella's shoulders while replied with a smile. 

"Cinnamon monster would suit her better." V commented again gaining a smack from Ella. "Hey, I just wok—"

"Daaad!" A little boy's voice was heard behind them and in a matter of seconds the culprit jumped in V's arms hugging him gaining an 'aww' from everyone in the room.

"Why are you here, Kri? What about your school?" Shell asked as a little boy can't come by himself to the hospital in the middle of classes. 

"I brought him. Don't you want a touching family reunion, ey?" Jade, Jake's twin said with his eye smile. 

"Thanks Jade, you are the best." V said kissing his son's forehead.

"Dad missed his little monster." He stated, while Krihyung giggled at his father. "I missed daddy too." 

"Mom did not let me have ice cream yesterday and also she did a lot of embarrassing things while you were sleeping." He said, making his mom, to let out a huff and everyone to laugh at his cute complaints.

"Don't worry. Now dad is here everything will be alright."

Ethan reassured his son as there were a lot of things to take care of.
