MADELYN'S POV

I'd insisted on doing my fight training on Saturday morning. It had been a few days since my abduction, and I was fully healed, though I was still having a lot of nightmares, but otherwise, I was feeling like myself again.

Jaxson looked troubled, but nodded after a second ''Do not leave the manor''

He kissed me for a moment, before leaving, though the scared expression never left his face.

I didn't get to see the twins all day, they didn't even have time to stop for lunch or dinner. They linked me a lot, but whenever I asked to know what was happening, they both told me it was nothing and would cut the link. I didn't believe them of course, but I was waiting for them to tell me in their own time.

I was curious to know how she felt about her father, but I didn't want to upset her. I was also curious about her mother. After a long relaxing bath, I pulled on my robe and dried my hair before leaving the bathroom. I was lonely without the twins. Was it really only this morning that I was complaining about them smothering me? I really couldn't win.

I wanted their scents on me, so I went into their walk-in to grab Koda's shirt.
