Chapter 46: Fourty-six

I got to the palace and went straight to Damien's study, I needed to explain everything to him now and I could also check on Liam as well.

On getting to the study , I heard a woman's voice, I stopped for a while , why is a woman in his study, then decided to not care about it , all I really want is my children.

I opened the door and stepped inside, the whole room went quiet and I became more suspicious about the woman who was sitting on the sofa .

"Who are you and how can you just barge in here just anyhow, Damien I thought the maids are always told the rules of the palace, how come this one doesn't know about it" she pointed at me .

I was surprised she addressed him by name and even called me a maid, but I decided to keep quiet and see how Damien would reply her.

"That's my Mom, and you call yourself my father's sister, but you don't even know who his wife and queen is , seems you are the one who doesn't know anything about the palace" My sweet baby Liam replied her .

I wanted to laugh,but I held it so I won't appear rude , one thing I got from what Liam said was the word sister, it seems this is Penelope, the former king and queen adopted daughter.

Damien's mother, already filled me in with every details I need to know about all the members of the royal family.

That's explains why she can address him by his name, she looked extremely embarrassed by what Liam said , so I decided to try lighten up the mood .

"Liam that's not the right way to address your Elders, I'm sorry Miss Penelope, kids tend to say silly things , please don't take it to heart" I said to her.

"It's fine , I should also apologise to you, I failed to recognise you and I even compared you to a maid , my sincere apologies, Luna Alana", She apologised but i could clearly see the insincerity of her apology.

I decided to not let her get to me , so I just ignored her and turned to Damein, "Good morning Damien ,I came to have a very important discussion with you,

but seeing as you are very busy , could you ask Liam to call me when you are less busy?"

He told Liam to get off his lap, stood up and walked to me , took my hands in his and kissed each of them.

Things between us became better after the incident at the Fair, we had a discussion and I decided to just see how things go between us.

And this has been his way of greeting me whenever we see eachother, I even feel i was beginning to look forward to it.

"Good morning Alana, I was told you went out very early, and Liam told me you are still having trouble sleeping at night,

So why don't you go rest, I will come see you in your chambers personally, okay?, and I'm really sorry about my sister's behaviour towards you", he touched my cheek and I couldn't help but blush, my wolf purred as well.

She was enjoying his touches, "Okay Damien" my voice sounded like I was trying to act cute , which I didn't intend to.

It seems he was enjoying watching me try to hide my blushing red face, because he couldn't stop smiling.

I literally ran out of the room because I was extremely embarrassed.

On my way to my chambers, I couldn't help but ponder on why Penelope was back, according to what I was told she was in a foreign kingdom on royal duties.

Has she finished her duties?, I don't think it is a coincidence that she came here, and I think I know who made her come back.

But that was the least of my problems , I need to get a journal so i can write down everything i remember , just like Mrs Morgana instructed me to.

While I was writing, I feel asleep, and only woke up when I heard a phone ringing, at first I thought it to be my phone, then I realised it wasn't even my ringtone.

I looked to where the sound came from, and realised it was Damien's phone , and he was sitting on the couch I remembered falling asleep on, while I was on the bed .

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you, if you still need to rest you can go back to sleep" he took out his phone and hung up the call, before stuffing it back in his pocket.

"How long have you been sitting there?, did you carry me to the bed?, Why didn't you wake me when you came in?" I bombarded him with questions.

He stood up walked towards my bed , and sat down , beside me,"You look so cute when you sleep, so I decided to watch you sleep, I haven't been here too long just two hours and,you were uncomfortable on the couch so I carried you to the bed, does that answer all your questions my dear?".

He smiled at me used his hands to rub my head, I wanted to tell him to stop,but I couldn't because I was really enjoying it .

"You Should have woken me up when you got here , i have something important to discuss with you , it's regarding our children, I think I know where they might be".

His hand that was rubbing my head paused,he looked at me for a while, the took out his phone, cancelling all his plans for the day .
