Chapter 91 Some D*mn Fool pt 2
Alpha Brian
"Two."
"Keep them there until Alpha Duncan and King Cian clear out. I want to know everything. Troop movements, what happens to the rest of Blood Moon, where they take the stock that George was gathering. We may need to raid it later."
"Done. Should we start making movements on our end to clean up, in case they come here next?"
"We need to get our stock out, but not because I'm worried about them. King Mikhail is ready for the next batch. He needs time to prep them, especially if the assault on Blood Moon brings heat on the operation." I stood, grabbing my cell phone and keys out of my desk drawer. "Let's go check the status now, keep things moving. The Royals will be tied up at Blood Moon for a few days at a minimum. Let's not waste that time."
We exited my office, locking the door behind us. Walking down the hallway to the stairwell in the back, I smelled Amelia hiding down the corridor. Perfect. I need to put this bitch in her place, too.
"Come out, Amelia, I know you're lurking."
She stepped around a corner, head down, the thick leather collar around her neck broadcasting her ownership. She'd certainly served her purpose these past several days, but her obedience was a front she thought I was too stupid to see through.
"Yes, Alpha? How can I serve?" she asked.
"Follow us." I continued on, leading them out of the pack house and across to the barracks building. She started trembling as we stepped inside.
"Warrior Garrick, I'm turning Amelia over to you. She can join your stable until you tire of her."
"What? No, Alpha Brian! Please! I've done everything you've asked!" Her voice broke as she pleaded.
"Do you think I don't know you've been rifling through my desk, going through my room, taunting my Luna? Any of those actions is enough to have me toss you aside. Add all of them together and you're lucky I'm just giving you to my men."
"I—I—I wasn't! I was just trying to learn how I could help you better!" She fell to her knees, sobbing.
"You were trying to find secrets. You said as much to my Luna as you told her how you'd eventually take her place. Disrespecting my Luna is disrespecting me. It will not be tolerated." I was firm. I didn't care what she said to Jenny. That Amelia felt she could challenge my authority was unacceptable.
She continued to sob as Garrick clipped a leash to her collar. "On all fours like the dog you are," he told her. She didn't move, face buried in her hands as her body shook from her sobs. John placed a boot on her back and shoved her forward. "I'll drag you if that's what it takes," Garrick said. Ever so slowly, she pushed to all fours, then followed him down the hallway.
I turned to John. "Now, to the cells."
We entered the extensive building at the rear of the pack. From the outside, it simply looked like additional pack housing. It was actually a four-story building consisting of hundreds of eight-by-eight cells. It was perfectly camouflaged from outside visitors.
The guards on duty stood as we came in. "Alpha Brian, Gamma John," they greeted.
"How many are in residence today?" I asked.
"One hundred fifty, Alpha," one of the men answered.
"Start rounding them up. We'll be bussing them to Bloodraven within the next two days."
They nodded, one turning to the desk to start the process while the other opened the interior doors to allow us to pass through. I strolled down the hallway, the sounds of despair reaching my ears. My headache was returning. "Someone shut them up!"
Each cell I passed held an omega or a low-ranking warrior who had failed the test of their loyalty to me. I noted their condition as we passed. Fed, one set of clothing, one blanket, one cot. The bare minimum to keep them functional before they reached their final destination. King Mikhail needed them to be relatively healthy and paid more when they were.
I stopped in front of one. The occupant was glaring at me through the bars, her eyes fierce. Dark golden hair draped around her peaches-and-cream face, and her body was tight and fit in warrior clothing.
"You're not one of mine. Who are you and why are you here?"
She spat at me. I stepped back, avoiding the glob of spit. "I won't ask twice."
Sneering, she said, "My name is Alexis. I'm a warrior from Forest Lake."
"And why are you here?"
"I don't know. Ask Tweedledee over there." She pointed to Gamma John.
I raised my eyebrow in question.
"Alpha Brian, she was swept up with the group we picked up from Iron Fang. Apparently, one of these omegas is a cousin. She tried to fight, so we subdued her and brought her with us. I figured she'd break by now."
I looked at her again, considering. She had fire, and my cock twitched in my pants at the thought of breaking her. "Place her in the pack dungeons. She stays here while I figure out what I want to do with her."
"Yes, Alpha."
I turned, done confirming the information I needed, to go back to my office. Once again, my thoughts drifted to the upcoming call I had to make. King Mikhail would not be pleased with his special warrior, but hopefully the news of over one hundred new recruits to his cause would keep his ire from overflowing onto me. If not, that warrior was going to feel double every ounce of pain I dealt with as his punishment.
