Chapter 7: Be Attacked

Returning to the alley in the old residential area, Uri rubbed his bruised wrist, staggering and taking steps. Suddenly, there was a cold breeze behind that startled him, then he stopped. Uri instinctively turned his head, but there was nothing but the pitch-black darkness.

Is it wind? Uri frowned.

After that, he didn't care anymore and continued walking.

When only a few feet away from home, Uri felt a chill run down his spine again. Without having time to react, his mouth was suddenly covered, and then his whole body was dragged away.

"Uhm... Uhm.." The sudden ambush made Uri momentarily panic, he could only desperately struggle, his hand constantly punching the arm that was covering his mouth.

Uri's figure was small, his strength was not great, so the resistance did not penetrate. His body is dragged away easily. He was shoved hard into the alley, his shoulder blade hitting the rough wall painfully. The hand covering his mouth was gone, but before he could let out a groan, his throat was squeezed again. Then a hoarse voice sounded in his ear: "Human beings are such troublesome creatures."

Uri felt his head spin, his neck felt like it was tight, both painful and uncomfortable. He struggled to open his eyes, wanting to see clearly who the person in front of him was, but the alley was too dark, he could only see a dim shadow in front of him. A fishy smell wafts through his nose.

"Curiosity can kill an elephant."

From the hoarse voice, Uri could vaguely guess that the opponent was a man. Listening to him, he was both confused and scared. The heart in the chest does not stop beating constantly.

Who is this guy? Why did he arrest him? What is he going to do with him? Will he kill him?

Thinking that Uri couldn't help but feel fear. The whole body was pinned tightly, unable to move, breathing was extremely difficult, and he could only struggle.

The other seemed to be very excited about Uri's resistance. The other seemed to be interested in Uri's resisting appearance. He laughed and said in a scornful tone, "Are humans always so weak?"

Uri was redundant when he laughed, the force of his arm was strangling him loosely, trying to use all the strength he had and taking the momentum of knee contraction, pushing straight at the opponent.

"Fuck, this brat!" The man seemed irritated, grabbed Uri's hair, and once again threw him against the wall.

Uri just felt his body was like being run over by a car, his scalp was hot and numb. Before he could reassess, his neck was once again squeezed, the whole person was pulled up by a strong force, then he was suspended in the air.

"Leave me..." Uri said weakly, his face as white as sheet.

The man approached Uri's face, his angry face turned to an excited expression. He said in a hoarse tone: "Want to run? Not easy! It's been a long time since I've found such delicious prey. The more you resisted, the more I liked it. Haha...."

He said and laughed excitedly.

A strong smell of blood entered the nasal cavity, setting Uri's mind to spinning. Then he felt his cheeks being passed by something sticky. A feeling of disgust spread throughout the body.

The man stuck out his long red tongue, licked Uri's cheek, then he took a deep breath: "Wow, that's delicious prey. I haven't felt a source of blood as pure as this in a long time."

Delicious prey?

Blood?

Pure?

What is he saying?

A crazy thought suddenly popped into Uri's head, making his whole body tremble. Right now he just wanted to scream, but he didn't have any strength left. At the beginning of the day, his breathing also weakened, Uri could only vaguely feel his collar being pulled down, and a cold feeling spread throughout his body, but he didn't have the strength to fight anymore. There was only one thought in his mind right now, that he was going to die.

If he dies, who will take care of grandma? What about Neil?

Uri thought painfully, a single tear rolled down her petite cheek.

The man didn't care at all about Uri's pitiful appearance. He lowered his head, leaned against his neck, and smiled softly: "Goodbye, prey..."

Uri could only close his eyes tightly, preparing to accept his death.

However, right now, there was suddenly a loud noise in the back, then Uri felt his neck was free, but the whole person lost the fulcrum and fell to the cold ground. Not in the mood to care what happened, Uri's first reaction was to hold his neck and cough incessantly. His face was white, his throat was like someone using a wire cut, both painful and burning, and every breath was extremely painful.

Hearing the sound of his retching, Uri realized: He wasn't dead!

That's good, he is not dead!

"Have you dead?"

A cold voice suddenly sounded on top of his head, causing Uri to jump.

This voice...

Uri was taken aback. Even if he died, he would still recognize it. It belonged to the man he had just met less than an hour ago.

Alex Dominic!

Uri hurriedly raised his head. In the dark, only the opponent's shining silver hair could be seen. His brain quickly activated, and a terrifying scene from earlier appeared in his mind. Thinking that the man who attacked him was still there, Uri was scared back: "Where... where is he...?"

As soon as he said those words, he immediately hugged his throat, physiological tears instinctively poured out of his eye sockets.

His throat... it so hurts!

"Gone." Alex in the dark clearly saw Uri's grimacing face and responded with ease.

"Gone?" Uri initially looked up and then took a breath. Then, suddenly thinking of his attacker as a vampire, he hurriedly asked Alex: "You... Are you injured?"

Speaking out, Uri was in pain hugging his neck again.

Alex didn't answer, just looked at him coldly, "Come back."

At Alex's nonchalant attitude, Uri couldn't help but feel sad, even though it wasn't the first time he'd been so humiliated. But Uri quickly recovered, realizing that this person in front of her had saved her, and quickly said: "Thank... thank you... for saving me..."

Uri said, then against the wall, stood up with difficulty. Perhaps due to the fall just now, Uri's mind became reeling, his legs were weak and soft, unable to support, and the whole body immediately lost balance, staggered a few steps, and then fell forward.

"Ahhh..."

Alex stood less than a meter away from him, before he could avoid it, the whole Uri fell on him.

Uri closed his eyes tightly, feeling his ears hit something that was both soft and warm.

Alex stiffened, and a second later his face became extremely unsightly. Without waiting for Uri to react, he immediately pushed him away from him. This Alex's force was not light, Uri was easily pushed to the ground by him.

"Ahhh..." The pain again passed on, causing Uri to let out a painful groan. He stared blankly at Alex as if he still didn't understand why he was knocked over.

Why push him? What did he do wrong?

Alex made a motion to dust off his shirt. The contact with Uri earlier seemed to him like contact with some filthy creature.

Uri looked at this action of his, and pursed his lips. He felt that his self-esteem was severely attacked, embarrassed and angry, speechless.

"Y... you.."

Alex ignored him, adjusted the hem of his shirt, then said in a disgusted tone: "Watch your mouth shut!"

He then turned and left without even glancing at Uri.

Uri saw him leave, and hurriedly stood up, his hand reached out to pull the hem of his shirt, but before he could grab his whole body, he wobbled again, without Alex's support, Uri directly fell to the ground.

"Thud!"

"Shhh... pain..." Uri hugged her face, feeling only one side of his cheek paralyzed.

Alex heard the noise from behind but he did not turn around.

"Don't... go..." Uri watched as Alex was about to step out of the alley, speaking with difficulty.

Seeing that Alex still didn't stop, Uri tried to get up from the ground to chase after him. But his body didn't listen to him, Uri couldn't stand up. A feeling of helplessness suddenly rose in her heart, mixed with self-pity because Alex didn't notice, causing Uri to burst into tears.

A series of things that happened today made Uri feel that he was both useless and weak, he couldn't do his jobs right!

"Hic... hic... huhu..."

Alex listened to the cry, frowned, his footsteps slightly stopped but then continued walking as if nothing had happened.
