Chapter 31: Chapter Thirty

Athena

My eyes widen as I fall on the ground, hitting my head on the nightstand in response. Grumbling, I rub my temples—trying to reduce the throbbing pain. How much did I drink yesterday? My eyebrows furrow as I take my time to look around.

It took me a while to adjust to the surroundings. I'm at the hotel. I suddenly thought before pressing my palm onto the bed and carry myself back up, groaning in the process. Laying the side of my face on the bed—my vision starts to blur when I see someone leaning his shoulder against the wall with his arm crossed as he looks at me.

Blinking a few times until I can fully see the figure clearly. Alex tilting his head to the side as he eyes my body up and down before looking back at my face. I pucker my lips to the front before groaning and turning to the other side, not bothering to look at him.

Feeling the bed moving, I just ignore it as I keep my eyes closed. He pokes my arm, which causes me to push his hand away and groan louder. After a few seconds, he starts to poke my back, making me kick the thin air and pull the nearest pillow toward me.

He doesn't bother me anymore, but boy, was I wrong. What he does next surprised me. He spanks my butt, and my eyes open wide—making me sit up and move away from him, ''What the fuck do you think you're doing?!'' I shout, feeling my head hurting once more.

Then it hit me. I look down to see that I'm only in my underwear instead of the dress I wore last night. I quickly pull the comforter toward my body and cover my chest—not liking the fact that I'm exposed in front of him, ''Did you undress me?'' I raise an eyebrow, preparing myself to kick his ass.

A smirk appears on his face, making my anger rise, ''More like you undressing for me.'' He replies, eyeing my body once more playfully.

I jump on top of him, getting a groan as a response from him, and lock both of his hands to the side of his head. He looks up at me, eyeing my body once more before grinning seductively at me and licking his lower lip.

Cringing my nose in disgust, I hold his wrists tighter, ''You want it rough? I can give you roughly.'' He says, looking straight into my eyes.

''Start talking.'' I lean in closer so that our faces are inches apart from each other, ''Did you undress me?'' I ask once more, waiting for a response, but he just smirks, ''Alex!'' I shout before running my knee to his groin.

He starts to groan before looking down but looks back up, sighing, ''You don't remember, do you?'' The way he just carelessly let me hold his wrist without fighting back—shows how much he's enjoying this right now. He could easily push me or turn me around, but he let me pin him down.

''Remember what?'' I pin him harder.

If something big did happen, I must have remembered it. The way he smirks, it's like he's playing a game with me. I furrow my eyebrows once more, trying my best to remember, but nothing came up in my mind. As I keep on thinking, I start to assume things such as doing something that I might end up regretting once I'm fully sober.

I look down to see him shrugging, ''I don't know, maybe like how good you were in bed.'' He says.

''Stop it!'' My hands grip harder onto his wrists, pushing them deeper into the bed, ''Stop manipulating with my mind and start telling me.''

''I am telling you.'' He looks back at me innocently, ''It hurts that you didn't remember what happened last night. I mean, you were pretty satisfied yourself.'' I find him turning us around so that I am the one lying on the bed, and he quickly pins me down by grabbing onto my wrists, then he places his lower body down on my body.

''Pft, keep on lying,'' I smirk back at him. He's just trying to make me believe him. Of course, I'm not going to believe him! He's saying shit that anyone could make up. Just because I was drunk yesterday doesn't mean I can't remember something, right? I just need to try harder.

He leans in, and I can see a perfect view of his blue eyes. They are enchanting. They have light streaks of white if you look closely, which is quite visible, especially if the light is shining directly into them. My eyes somehow only focused on his. His pupils dilate a few seconds after, ''Then why don't you remember it yourself and tell me if I'm lying.'' He says, close to my lips, making me shiver. Luckily, he didn't notice.

Memories of yesterday came back into my mind, making me remember them slowly. Furrowing my eyebrows, I see myself dancing in the middle of the dance floor with Sarah—a drink in our hands—and we were enjoying the beat of the music, not even caring of anyone.

''She did it again!'' Jon shouts, and everyone cheers as I finish my shot. Sarah claps and starts to kiss Jon passionately on the lips. I take another glass and gulp it at once—feeling immune to the taste. I don't know how much I have to drink, but I surely can't get enough.

More memories came in memories of me seeing Liam. Wait, Liam. My eyes wide when I remember myself kissing him yesterday. I almost wanted to scream that I actually enjoyed kissing him yesterday. The way his lips move slowly against mine, how he holds me tightly on the hips. The way he looked at me once he realized that we were kissing.

To my surprise, he leans in, brushing his lips against mine. I stand still, but as soon as our lips meet, I couldn't help but respond. Tasting alcohol on his soft lips mixing with mine—blasting my taste buds. No matter how drunk we are, he kisses me softly—not rushing even a little bit.

I break the kiss, licking my lower lip. He clenches his jaw, eyeing my lips before looking back into my eyes. My eyebrows furrow in confusion as soon as I realize what we were doing. Stepping back, I see his eyes widening, but before he could say anything, Sarah pulls me by the waist—Liam slowly fading from my vision.

Then memories of Alex wrapping his arm around my waist, me pleading with him so that we could stay a bit longer, and me kissing him in front of his teammates. My jaw literally drops to the ground once I remember what happened when we got back to the hotel;

My lips are parted apart as he keeps on brushing his nose with mine. Within seconds, I feel his lips lightly touch mine—causing me to kiss him back just as soft. I taste the alcohol on his lips, yet they also taste like oranges. My hands move up to unbutton his shirt, and he just let me as he keeps on cupping my face, kissing me like there's no tomorrow.

As soon as I finish unbuttoning his shirt, I leave it there and run my ice cold hands on his warm body. I feel him running his fingers through my hair as he lightly pulls my head to the back and deepening the kiss. From the soft kiss, it turns out passionate. One of his hand brushes my arm and down to my wrist before he places his hand on my thigh.

I shiver when his hand softly up my thigh. His lips leave mine, and he moves to trail kisses down my jawline and my neck. He lightly pecks on my neck, testing my patience. His other hand doing wonders, turning me on just by a simple touch.

He lifts me by the waist so that I am sitting on his lap. My hands tug onto his shirt, trying to pull them off as he continues to kiss my lips. He tilts his head to the side, making it easier for me to kiss him. As I take the shirt off of his body, both of his hands move to my back and tugging slowly at the zipper of my dress.

Pressing my body on his, he kisses on my shoulder as he pulls the zipper down, stopping as soon as it reaches the top of my butt. Feeling his soft fingers running at the back of my body gives me more shivers—knowing that no one has ever made me feel this way. Not even Jeremy.

My head hurts from the amount of alcohol I consumed, but the pain starts to subside with his touch and kisses. I am only left in my underwear. When I turn around, I find him kissing the side of my neck. My eyes open to see my ripped shirt on the ground near me.

Both of his hands cup my face, making me face him. I see the lust in his eyes, and I'm sure my eyes show the same. My feelings may get mixed up, but right now, I can't seem to process what's happening to me because I just let it go with the flow.

''Holy—'' I feel him loosening the grip on my wrists, and I pull both of my hands to cover my mouth. Sitting up, my eyes wide as I look at Alex—trying to deny, ''—fuck.'' I mutter lightly under my breath. ''Did something else h—happened?'' I am searching for answers through his eyes and his expression, but nothing came up.

Alex sighs, ''There's more.''

''There's more?'' I repeat, raising my eyebrow in response. Without me realizing, I am holding onto both of his shoulders, shaking his body—making him look at me as if I have lost my mind, ''Tell me, what else?''

''Okay, look.'' He grabs both of my hands, putting them back down my lap, ''Are you sure you don't remember because? It's pretty much unbelievable. You might not believe this, but it did happen yesterday, which pretty much ruins the mood.'' He rolls his eyes at the end, ''But either way, I won't go any further.''

''What do you mean by you won't go any further, and what do you even mean when you said that I wouldn't believe you?'' I frown.

''Well—'' Alex rubs the back of his neck, ''How much do you remember? You were pretty much wasted last night. You can hardly remember much.'' He looks at me, waiting for me to respond.

My cheeks heat up immediately, making me look down and clear my throat as a cover-up. I let out a sigh and look at him to find him just smirking—completely knowing, ''That much, huh?'' He chuckles a bit at the end, ''Well, bad news, princess, you threw up on me.''

I raise an eyebrow and give him a-are-you-kidding-me-look before laughing, ''I throw up on you?'' Pointing at him and pointing back at myself, ''Oh boy, I wish I was sober so I could see the look on your face.'' I mutter under my breath.

Then that's when it came straight at me.

He hovers on top of me as he kisses the side of my neck, making me grip harder onto his waist and pulling his body closer toward mine. I feel him lightly brushing his hand on my thigh—which is turning me on from the way he's caressing me.

When I feel him biting onto my neck, I throw my head up and give him a better access—

My eyes wide, and I run my hand down my neck before running toward the nearest mirror and see burning red hickeys on my neck and a couple near my collarbone. I quickly rub them and turn my head to glare at Alex, who's smirking at me, ''Surprise.'' He says.

—and as I did, he trails kisses down my stomach, making me squirm. He stops kissing me, and I turn us around so that I would be on top. On his face, the smirk makes me smile in response as I kiss on his lips, biting lightly. He groans from the kiss as I trail kisses down his jawline and his neck—returning a few hickeys.

''Oh my god.'' I rub my temples as I see him pointing at his hickeys, which appears on the side of his neck and a little bit near his chest. I sit down on the ground, completely not believing that I was participating in the whole making out session, ''This has to be a god damn joke.''

''Nope.'' Alex shrugs before running his fingers through his hand.

As I feel my head starting to feel dizzy, I sit up and cover my mouth quickly. Alex looks up at me in confusion as he sits up, but I throw up right down on his chest as soon as he did. His jaw drops down as his eyes widen in surprise.

I slide away from him before landing directly on the side beside him and find myself falling into a deep slumber afterward—but not until I hear him saying, ''Did she just—fuck.''

''I can't believe it,'' I mutter under my breath as I grip onto the scalp of my head, making me feel the pain before dropping both of my hands on the ground. Right now, I don't even care that I'm just in my underwear in front of him because what happened yesterday was way worse.

He goes down from the bed before crouching in front of me, ''Well, I can't believe it myself but—'' Then he sighs, ''You know what? I had to shower for like an hour to remove the smell—'' I almost cut him off, but he raises his index finger in front of my lips, ''—and to remove the feeling of feeling unsure about my own hygiene. Thanks to you.'' Then his face turns serious.

''Well, you literally tried to have sex with me!'' I point out, and he starts to laugh out of nowhere.

''Knock knock, princess. You would have gladly given it to me if it wasn't for you throwing up.'' He snaps, and when I was about to respond, he stands up and slams the door shut on his way out. I jump at the sound, but I groan loudly before running toward the bathroom.

The lighting in the bathroom makes it easier for me to see the hickeys. I sigh deeply as I drop my palms on the sink, supporting my weight. Looking back up in the mirror, what if I hadn't thrown upon him? He might continue and—okay, let's not talk about it right now.

Taking a quick shower, I rinse afterwards and see that the hickeys will not be disappearing any time soon. Walking out, I'm glad that the room is still empty, so I quickly change before walking out of the room—seeing Alex playing with his phone. When I walk toward him, I see that he's actually playing a game.

It isn't a surprise seeing him playing a FIFA game.

''When are we flying back to New York?'' I ask once I am fully seated in front of him.

He keeps on playing with his phone, not bothering to look up at me, ''Tonight.'' And that's all. That's all it took for me to understand that he doesn't want to start a conversation, so I keep quiet as I watch him fully focusing on his game.

After what seems like an hour, he finally stops playing and drops his phone to the side. He sighs deeply before running his hand up to his hair, laying his head on the sofa arm, and closing his eyes. ''You know if you're sleeping, I was wondering if I could go out and—''

Before I could finish, he opens his eyes, which catch my attention, and he looks down at me, ''You're not going anywhere. You know what happened in Rome. I don't want to waste time looking for you.'' Then he lays his eyes once more, clenching his jaw.

''Okay,'' I mutter under my breath before standing up.

Looking down, I see that my mom is calling me, so I glance up to see that Alex has long gone to dreamland. I slide to answer, and I raise my phone to my ear, still looking at Alex's sleeping form—seeing how he tilted his head to the side a little before he stays still once more.

''Yeah, mom?'' I say after hearing noises from the other line.

''Athena!'' She starts, and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion after hearing her voice. She's never this loud, and whenever it's loud, it better be something good, ''Why didn't you tell me? How can you even dare to keep it a secret from your mother? I mean, you should have told me! Do I have to find out from the media? What if I didn't find out from the media? Then I would never know anything about this!'' She says, fast.

''M—mom.'' I mutter, ''Breathe.''

She sighs before doing what I said and starts breathing slowly. When she has fully calm herself down, I start asking, ''Okay, can you please tell me what's going on?''

''Why didn't you tell me, silly?'' She starts to begin once more, but she breathes again.

''Tell you what? Mom?''

''What you're pregnant!'' My eyes widen as soon as the words slip out of her mouth. But then, when I couldn't back anymore, I let out my laughter.
