Chapter 35 Madi, Had An Accident 2

Chapter 35 Madi, Had An Accident 2
MADISON POV

When we get out of the car, Ma'am Rose goes over the rules again.

We all know we're being watched from a distance, I don't know why she insists on threatening us as if we're all afraid of her.

It seems like Ma'am Rose enjoys seeing the girls' terrified faces.

"So, where are we going?" Laura asks.

"I don't know, let's go to that aphrodisiac oil shop, I bought some there once, and it worked, I managed to get a grandpa's 'kite up'," she said, bursting into laughter, and I joined in.

As we walk down the street, I'm bothered by a strange feeling, like something is about to happen, but I shake my head and let the feeling go.

Laura tells me how that oil worked miracles, and I listen attentively, but I end up getting distracted by lingerie in a shop window and don't even realize I've lost sight of Laura.

I run off looking for her; she couldn't have gone very far when I spot her on the other side of the street.

Laura — I shouted, trying to get her attention.

As I'm about to cross the street, that's when I hear her scream.

Madi, be careful.

When I looked to the side, a black car came speeding towards me, and when I felt the impact, I fell to the ground.

"Oh my god, oh my god, your head is bleeding!" Laura said desperately, kneeling on the floor beside me.

I put my hand to my head and see blood on my fingers, and at that moment, everything becomes blurry, and I let the darkness take me.

LAURA POV

Everything was going so well, Madi and I were talking and laughing, and suddenly everything changed.

Now I'm in an ambulance taking my friend to the hospital, and tears are streaming down my face like waterfalls.

I should have been by her side, and I couldn't do anything to stop the accident.

Madi hit her head and passed out right away.

I'm so scared for her........ no, I can't think about that.

She'll be okay.

Ma'am Rose is in a car behind us, and seeing my friend all tubed up and receiving first aid makes me even angrier at her.

It's because of her that we're here.

If she hadn't invented this, we'd be at home, watching TV and talking nonsense to each other, but that bitch's days are numbered.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Madi is rushed to the emergency, and they won't let me go with her.

My despair increases even more when one of the nurses says something before disappearing through the white doors.

We'll do everything we can to save her.

I burst into tears, praying for her to get through this.

She's strong, determined, no son of a bitch is going to make her give up.

She'll be okay, God, she has to be okay.

Three hours have passed, and I'm losing my patience.

Nobody is giving any news, nobody is saying anything, and I'm about to force my way in there.

Ma'am Rose wasn't even here for an hour; she left two of her men at the door and left.

I just called Cohen because I remembered Madi had his number saved on her phone.

He didn't even let me properly explain what happened; I only said two words, "Madi" and "Accident," and he said he was coming over and hung up.

I also called Dimitri, who was furious, cursing the fleeing driver with every name under the sun and saying he'd hunt him down to hell.

I know there's going to be trouble, Cohen and Dimitri together at the hospital, but I had to warn him.

Madi, where is she? Where the hell is she? — Dimitri asks, agitated.

She's in the emergency, they won't let me in and they're not giving me any news.

"I'll tear this hospital down if necessary, but they'll tell me how she's doing," he said.

Immediately afterwards, Cohen enters with a worried expression.

What happened?

Cohen, a car ran her over, she's in bad shape, she hit her head on the ground, and she....

I couldn't finish my words.

Cohen hugs me tightly, telling me that everything will be alright.

I calm down, feeling the warmth of his body and his positive words.

"What are you doing here?" Dimitri asks him.

"The same as you," Cohen said in the same tone.

"Look, you two can stop now, I called you because everyone here is worried about her, so calm down," I yelled, making them shut up.

After waiting a while longer, Dimitri paced back and forth like a caged lion, and Cohen, beside me with his hands intertwined with mine, comforting me, the doctor finally appeared.

"Doctor, how is she?" I ask anxiously.

She hit her head, we had to stop the bleeding, she didn't have any fractures, just minor injuries, she's out of danger and the baby is too.

"Did I hear right? Madi is pregnant?" Dimitri asks.

Yes, she is, she didn't lose the baby.

"Am I going to be a father?" Dimitri asks, astonished, his face covered with a smile.

But his happiness is short-lived when Cohen, who had been silent until now, says...

This child could be mine too.
