Technically speaking, it is already the second day of this school year but since I was absent yesterday, this is going to be my first day in Redskull University. Today, I’m going to witness if the speculations thrown about this university is true or not. Are those gangster type of students really present here? I’ll find out.
I guess it’s a good thing that me and the boys belong to a single class. For that reason, I’ll never have to walk alone going to our class just like today. We just got out of our building and we’re currently walking going to the high school building to attend our class. Heaven is leading the way while the rest of them walk beside me which I find really cool since this setup is like those in the movies where the lead character is walking beside the supporting characters. The thought of it may seem funny but I can’t help but to feel every walk that I am doing especially that people are looking at us with confusion, maybe thinking who the hell I am and why am I walking with these gangsters.
As we are walking, I saw a very familiar face. I know that she was the one that I saw during my first day in this campus so I waved my hand to greet her.
“You know her?” Wind asked with a surprised tone. I don’t know but I feel like there was awkwardness when he asked me that especially when he looked at Fire after.
“I met her during my first day in this campus,” I answered.
Everyone looked at me in dismay as if I have committed a serious offense so I asked them, “What?”
“I told you how dangerous talking to other people inside this campus is, right?” Fire reminded me of what we just talked about when I enrolled.
“But she’s harmless,” I defended her.
“You don’t know how people here think, Hell. Stop talking to everyone just because they look harmless,” Leaf said in a serious tone which I really find weird because I’m so used at him just being playful and not being serious about stuff and now that he’s like that, I can’t help but to feel the gravity of my action for them.
“Wait! Why are you so mad that I am making friends here?” I asked with a higher tone to make them feel that I do not like their attitude right now. I stopped walking which made them all stop as well including Heaven.
They can’t just instruct me not to befriend someone just because they are generalizing all the students here. I am friendly by nature and I find it off how I should stop being friendly just because I am inside a university known for having a bad reputation of students.
“Because you don’t know what’s waiting for you!” Wind answered with the tone of desperation to make me realize their point but I just can’t agree with them.
I’m actually turned off with their mindset right now on how easy it is for them to generalize things up just because of the reputation of the whole. Don’t they realize that they’re also part of this university? With that kind of mindset, I should be careful with them then.
“I didn’t know what’s waiting for me when I first stepped in our dorm and you guys welcomed me – removing my worries if I’ll be living with some bad people. If I have the same mindset as yours, I could’ve just spent my time inside my room waiting for things to be over so that I could already live without the fear in me. But I didn’t. That’s because I trusted you! So now, tell me what’s wrong about me knowing another person who didn’t show me something bad?” I asked looking at their faces to make them realize how flawed their mindsets are.
“You’re just new so you really won’t understand, Hell. Trust us on this one,” Fire said which disgusted me and I made sure that they will see that emotion in my face right now.
“Trust? Wow!” I can’t believe that it came from his mouth. “Well, let me remind you that between us, it’s you who know nothing about trust. If you can’t trust people here just because this university’s reputation told you so or if you can’t trust my decision in choosing those people that I allow to enter my life, then where do you get the guts to ask me to trust you on this one?” I asked them. I won’t allow them to instil in me that kind of mindset because it really is unreasonable.
“You’re being nuisance, aren’t you?” Leaf asked me.
“You are,” I answered back at him. “You know what? I give up,” I said and walked away from them because I can’t stand just being with them right now.
One thing that annoys me the most is someone who tries to convince me with his unreasonable point and making me feel wrong about my stand when it is him who has a flawed ideology.
I honestly don’t know where I would go. All I know is that I really wanted to walk away from them right now. Good thing that it is still early to be late for class so I have my time now to breathe before I see their faces again. Hopefully, by then, my temper’s already good.
Dad wanted me to change these guys. Maybe this is one of those things that I need to change about them. As much as I love challenges in my life, I can feel that so far, this is the worst challenge that I’ll have to do. They are so hard-headed and they don’t know how to listen just because they already convinced themselves that they are thinking right. The thought of me doing it my all to change this thing about them is stressing me already.
I saw the high school building already but I walked further. I can’t deal with them for now and I still need to breathe to at least forget what happened a while ago but their mindsets are really so bad not to remember.
Suddenly, a white van stopped beside me and the next thing I know is that everything went black.... again.
